Yup, in PA. We went 2 years ago when Chase was still a newborn so this should be a very different experience. We didn't do any of the water rides last time so I'm especially excited to see how they react to those.

Just had a mini panic attack. I clicked on the dc camera and saw them setting up for lunch. I immediately got scared that today was the casserole day and Cadence was going to be pissed I forgot to make her lunch. Then the teacher started tossing chicken nuggets on the plates and I was able to breath a sigh of relief.

In other words, I'm scared of my kid.

mwhip That Tide stuff is what we use to clean our top loader too. I cloth diaper at home, so I try to give the thing a good cleaning once a month.

Afternoon Ladies! I took Baby Bea shopping this morning and got a good Carter's haul. They are doing thier 20% off clearance and doorbusters right now. I seriously cover the whole store now shopping for all four kids.

Going to try to lie low today, I took a 2 hour nap yesterday and almost missed picking up my kids from camp. Maybe today I will skip the nap. I need to "unpack" things into the basement, but I am dreading it.

Morning. Went to PiYo with my mom. Now I need to conquer a mountain of laundry.

I'm having a situation with X at DC and all this coordination for the room addition has me stressed.

It was not fun. First I waited almost 2 hours alone. Because it was just local I could drive myself and I didn’t want to inconvenience anyone. Then I get back there and we start and I am basically panicking and shaking on the table. I can hear my flesh being cut, feel blood dripping down my neck, and smell the cautery. I was fine with all this stuff for animals and even my c section but apparently I’m sensitive about my neck.

All said and done it took an hour and he couldn’t find the damn node!! He did find a mass and maybe the node is in there. He thinks it’s benign and fatty but it’s out for biopsy. He went all the way to my clavicle and up to the thyroid and found nothing.

So if the biopsy is normal and no lymph node was in there I need another CT scan with an ultrasound to mark the node and then another biopsy. I told him I will need a sedative and he agreed. I’m just glad I didn’t pass out or puke.

I look like Frankenstein and my whole left side is numb.

I called Dh after and he didn’t answer but kept sending me texts about this damn personality test. He sent his results and asked me if it sounded like him. He got “feeling” as one of his characteristics. I texted him that he surely isn’t that. Finally I called him again and I told him if he didn’t fucking stop texting me about damn personality tests and ask me about my biopsy that I would murder him. He said “I was waiting for a call. I just stepped out of a meeting to answer”. To which I responded that I called him an hour ago and he didn’t answer. He finally apologized. I will be milking this.

B was still a bit too little to do much, but S LOVED the water rides.  B just kept pointing and screaming "ELMO!! ELMO!!"  Which is especially amusing since neither kid watches Sesame Street.

jewels wedding I'm not sure how to explain it, some of this is more intuition than anything else, but his current teacher and the one he will have in a couple months when he moves up are not very warm or engaging.

I feel like they focus more on correcting than redirecting, which would be more appropriate at this age.

At X's parent-teacher conference, I felt like we were talking about completely different children. So she either doesn't understand him or recognize his individual qualities or he isn't comfortable enough with her to behave the same way he does at home, is how I read the situation. He is not super verbal but he definitely does speak, although apparently he basically doesn't talk much at all in her class.

WRT his feeding issues, I know she can't read his cues or has no ability to make use of what I've told her about the problem.

Like sometimes on his daily sheet he writes that he is spitting out food and maybe he's over eating? LOL WHAT? He eats absolutely nothing, we both know it because we've discussed it, but her best guess is he's eating too much? Bizarre.

It's not terrible, I don't think he hates being there but it could be better and I feel like he's not getting as much out of his current class as he should. I never felt that way about Dude at this age. He had a different teacher but was at the same school. He has different abilities and different challenges, I recognize that, but it seems like he could be doing better.

Ugh sorry cagoldi. Is requesting a different classroom an option? It does sound like they are missing cures sand just not getting it n with X. Poor little guy. I'm sorry you have to deal with this to because you already have so much on your plate.

It's a smallish school (probably 50 kids?) so there is only one class for each age group. I had a completely different issue with Dude, and that was him getting bored and acting out so we always moved him up to the next class early. I feel like that won't work for X since he doesn't really click with the teacher he would have next and he's not really mastering everything he needs to in order to be ready for going up to the next class.

I'm not sure what to do. I'll discuss with Pete tonight then probably try to address it with the director but I'm not sure how to explain my concerns.

wedding sorry your biopsy experience was so rough. I highly recommend icing the area, if it’s anything like my breast biopsy then it will bruise like a mofo. I hope you don’t have to get another one done.

We are finally done at the zoo (we ended up going to the MN zoo instead of Como) and headed back to my sister’s house. They have a spray park, which I wish I knew about because then we could have brought the kids’ swim suits. All of the kids are sleeping in the back. We also stopped at HD and got the blackout shade.

cagoldi, I was getting frustrated reading your post. Has the teacher ever reached out in the past about her interactions with X?

New rule in our house: no mention of weight, calories, healthiness, etc. of meals. Immediately after agreeing to the rule mh said, "a girl in my office lost weight. She said don't count calories, just fat".
He didn't even make it 30 seconds before breaking the rule and comparing me to someone else.
Maybe he needs a no talking period rule.
