C slept later today but had a huge gross poop. I'm so sick of changing poopy diapers. He doesn't withhold, he's just a multiple time a day pooper and one time is always overnight. He's way too big for this. We have decided we will attempt night training in August and see what happens. July he will be staying at my in laws a few nights and then having his tonsils out so I feel like we need to hold off. I'm hoping since he doesn't have accidents at nap time at school that he will adjust to the overnight.

Morning! I'm sorting through some returns that I need to make today. I went nuts yesterday and bought of different water play stuff for our backyard, and I definitely overdid it. I'm gonna be so poor if we ever get a house with a pool. Bring me all the toys and floats!

I'm up. I'm contemplating getting my oil changed today- I've been putting it off for a while bc I loathe sitting around the dealer while waiting for them to do it.
I also have a phone screen for a potential job at 10.

Also, Charlie's morning sleep sucks lately. Is there some kind a 15 month growth spurt? He wakes up at four screaming his head off for a couple of minutes and then he'll go back down for 20 or 30 minutes and then he does it again and again and again until finally at six I couldn't take it anymore. I moved his bedtime 15 minutes earlier last week, but I'm thinking another 15 tonight to see if it helps at all. I know that between four and six is the lightest sleep stage, but he so close to waking the entire house that we have to get it now. /dd

I've got about 500 different outdoor toys- scooters, ride on cars, cozy coupes. It's awful. I'm kind of embarrassed that I don't have a better way to store all this shit.

Good luck with the phone screen yummeecookee! Waiting for an oil change is the worst, seems like it takes twice as long as when H does it at home! Is anyone else watching The Keepers? I've watched 4 episodes and am disturbed by the coverup and corruption that took place.

But it's such fun stuff to buy and watch them play with. I can't stop. I only realized I had a problem when I saw that bought two giant water play centers (their words not mine) that would probably take so much time to inflate.

Morning! DH needed to get home from dropping the boys off by 8, so he actually stuck around downstairs and helped get them ready instead of disappearing upstairs as usual. It was great - I took the long way to work, got gas, and still got in on time. If only it was a regular thing...
Anyhow it's day 3 of temps in the 90s here and I'm not even sad to be stuck indoors. I have a lovely view and A/C, plus work isn't totally insane this week. It's actually quite pleasant.

guster, I remember my C going through a spell where he was consistently waking up anywhere Btwn 4.30-5.30. And that was it, up for the day, no way would go back to sleep. It was a few months ago and he's 19mo now, so sounds about right where your C is. Thankfully it seemed to correct itself and he so generously sleeps until 6am now 😒

They literally play with everything, so I'm not paring down anytime soon. And I'd much rather them be outside than tearing up the inside of my house.

Like anything, I'm sure it's just a phase he's going through, but I made a mental promise to myself that if this is what he ends up doing in the next couple of weeks or months, I'm going to plop him in the stroller and go for an early morning walk. I won't have to worry about Josie because I MH is home in case she wakes up. If I can't sleep, I might as well do something productive.

Morning! We are going to a kids play in the park this morning. I think it's supposed to storm again this afternoon/evening. guster I'm not sure if there is a growth spurt/ regression because my child never sleeps through the night. What toys did you buy for outside?

What toys did you buy for outside? Different sprinklers, inflatable pools, beach balls, these frogs that shoot water like a water gun, water balloon and bubble stuff. Oh, and I bought Charlie a puddle jumper, but I don't know if he's big enough for it yet.

Jack would not go to sleep last night. Then he woke up yelling "chicken! Chicken!" at 2 am. Then "Tractor! Combine!" at 4. And made me take him to the living room at 6.. He went back down at 6:45. So I slept until 10 minutes before I had to leave.

Re outdoor/water toys, can I just say I love these things? Filling water balloons is such a stupid thing to do! They're not cheap, but we use them as a reward and I always buy them in some sort of sale.

Yes, good luck! Is it another HR job? Yes, it's in employee benefits, which is my one true love. Hahah I just mean that I've spent most of my career in benefits. In my current job, I am mostly recruiting and don't touch benefits.

Morning!
More weird weather here; overcast and expecting more rain in the early afternoon, right at the time of B's swim lesson. Hoping we can squeeze it in.
Otherwise, I need to get B some new jeans before our trip this weekend, and I'm browsing some various things online. I didn't buy anything last summer due to being pregnant, so I feel like I'm playing catch up this year--my wardrobe needs help.

Morning. I did the oil change/safety inspection yesterday. I've been at Fitestone to get my tires aligned since 730. Still. Waiting. My phone screen shattered two weeks ago. It shattered again yesterday. It was charging on the counter and I tripped over the cord. I'm just done. I cried on the floor like a child. All the car expenses and now my phone. Again.

Bored at work. I could tell yesterday that today was going to be 'that' day... After one good night (only one wake up) dd did her normal thing and woke up at 11-1.30-4.30.... I was alone in the office this morning and procrastinated, I ordered the exlibris for both kids, so that I can mark their own books, got some sun reflecting foil for the car windows, payed some bills etc. Dinner with a friend tonight, can't wait for the really good wine and cheese.

melaniesue, that sucks! My car is currently getting worked on. I'm sure it's going to be nice and pricey. Then we need to take MH's car in because the AC stopped working. Ugh!!!
