That's what I have - I think they're Brica. That sounds about right. I saw you replied saying why you wanted to get new ones. I honestly never even thought about that when I was using them. I had heard people say that about the backseat mirrors but I use one anyway because I feel safer being able to see DS, plus that thing would have to actually break to go flying. But it had never occurred to me to worry about the window shades. I've heard it with the mirrors too, but I feel comfortable with how securely that thing is strapped on and velcroed (how the heck do you spell that?!) and clipped and the fact that they are soft rimmed and a plastic mirror, so I will continue to use those! Like you said I feel WAY more comfortable having it than the risk of it managing to detach from the seat in an accident. DS was a silent spit-up choker and I never would have left my house alone without that mirror. But I have had the suction cups of that shade unsuction from the window before 😕 More so when it was newer though.

Our crib is being delivered tomorrow! They just called to confirm the delivery window and asked if a full size tractor trailer would fit on my street. I said yes but now I'm second guessing myself. It seems like a capable driver should be able to get in and out of the neighborhood no problem, but I don't drive a truck so how am I supposed to know if it's actually going to fit!

That seems like such a random question! I would also assume yes here, but I don't drive a tractor trailer! I'd be like - well, big furniture delivery trucks fit..... Yay for your crib arrival!

I will be getting my welcome box soon! I put the baby book on the registry then immediately purchased it 🙂 that looks so much better than the one I got with DD. With her I got some samples of random stuff and a binky and that was it.

Aww your onesie is cuter than mine! Mine is cute but it's yellow which is not my favorite.
MH has confirmed a tractor trailer should fit down our street no problem.

Crib delivery window was 9-12. Truck showed up at 9:30. I've been working from home with the plan to head in after the crib was delivered, but I don't really feel like it now so I may just pretend it didn't get here yet and stay home for now. It's a slow week and my boss is out today so there's a good chance I may not ever make it into this office today, lol.

I am so frustrated. Warning: long rant ahead that I just have to get out somewhere. Feel free to skip reading it.
I just waited an hour for my ob appointment (she was running an hour and a half behind) then the nurse just came in and said whoops we have to cancel because she has to go deliver a baby and we are cancelling all appointments for the rest of the day.
I totally understand that babies come whenever they want, but I wish they would have told me sooner. I also drove my daughter a half hour to my parents house before the appointment so I could focus on my questions and the results of all the tests we've been doing which is just annoying to do that and then have to reschedule.
I also called the hospital that was supposed to give us the results of the ultrasound on the baby's heart (they were supposed to call me yesterday) but my weight was wrong on the report and they can't release it until Friday now.
Without our umbilical cord complication none of this would be too bad, but I feel like all these doctors are so concerned about things, but then nobody is answering my questions or telling me what to expect. I think everything is fine, but I don't really know because nobody is telling me anything.

brenna I'm sorry for all the schedule inconveniences and the uncertainty. I would feel frustrated too! Hopefully you can get things rescheduled and have all of your questions answered soon.

brenna,I'm so sorry for all the uncertainty and inconvenience. meggriffin How close is that to your "due date?" I will have to schedule as well and haven't discussed the specifics with my OB yet. Nymeria, yay for the crib delivery. When that step is completed for us I will feel like we are actually making progress. I just ordered the bedding for DDs big girl bed so we can move the crib over to the baby's room.

Just got a call from my ob so I'm feeling better 🙂 NSTs 2 times a week plus weekly ultrasound starting at 32 weeks. Good thing I have a lot of good friends and family willing to watch dd 2-3 times a week 😊

My husband still thinks it's ridiculous that they want to watch me so closely, at least he's not the one going in for all of it or it probably wouldn't happen haha.

I have the Britax one which is a plastic rim, but at least still has the plastic mirror. I happened to be a Target this morning and they had 2 brands with the soft rims, so maybe I'll be replacing my mirrors. Even though I trust the Britax ones not to break, couldn't hurt to use softer ones. We'll need 2 more mirrors anyway so maybe I'll put my Britax one in MH's truck with the other Britax one since they're not in there as often and get 2 new soft rimmed ones for my car which the kids will be in daily.

I've been thinking it might already be time to lotion up both morning and night instead of just at night. Maybe baby is having a little growth spurt recently.

I keep running into little things like this where I hadn't even thought about it! Like the pull-down shades thing! And then I feel frustrated that I didn't know these things all along when I thought I was doing such a good and thorough job of being safe.

tbirdlove - What about something like this for your window shades? I've never seen this style before, but I was looking at something else on the UPPAbaby site and stumbled across these. There's more too them than the cling shades, but while they attach with suction cups they don't roll up so there's no plastic piece like standard shades. uppababy.com/product/easy-fit-sunshade/
