There will be venues all over. And we will be at one of them, I'm very sure. As soon as H texted me that they won the bid, I did the math for how old the kids would be and we agreed that was old enough to take them to a game. Mine will be 9. I hope that's old enough because he's going. We will have a 9 yo and an 11 yo. So yup!

oh. An official kids jersey is $95. Well fuck you Nike Jerseys are stupid expensive but that's ridiculous for a kid's jersey. Can you get a T-shirt or a training jersey instead? I thought about getting just a scarf for my kid, something he won't grow out of and is cheap. www.dhgate.com/wholesale/kids+world+cup+soccer+jerseys.html

I just did the last thing on my pre-baby to-do list.

DS will be 12 for the 2026 world cup so i can imagine MH will be super excited to take him to a game, unfortunately it looks like Vancouver is not on the list of hosting cities, which is odd since we have an MLS stadium and the infrastructure to host a major event

I guess Seattle would be doable to go to but it's annoying that we'd need to pay extreme amounts for a hotel

My child is outside on his bike and he's pretend ordering a large diet coke from a drive thru. MOTY.

What do they have in Edmonton? they have a really big shopping mall and miles of frozen tundra. I don't know much about Edmonton but it seems like a weird choice.

Confession: I didn't even know DS's pre-K did a graduation. They did, but didn't tell anyone as far as we can tell. They sent home a notice - "end of year picnic on may 31! Kids will go to bounce place. Parents are welcome to come"
and then I got a photo of him in a graduation cap the next day. I mean, his pre-K program has no bells and no whistles, but still. Maybe the graduation was taking a photo one kid at a time in the cap? That would be an awkward ceremony.

This is a kindergarten end of year celebration. There are entire extended families of people here, people have flowers for their kids?!?! Am I in the twilight zone? It's just me here for DS since H had to work and I do not have flowers for him. I was just coming to post about this! We had my son's kindergarten graduation and people were dressed up, grandparents, flowers. I feel bad we didn't invite our parents or bring something, but it didn't really dawn on me to I made up for being the only one there for DS by getting a seat in the front row and being loud. DS doesn't have grandparents for us to invite and stuff like this always makes me feel extra sad/resentful about that. But as it turns out Kindergarten graduation is very adorable.

I wonder where. H would die if he could go to a game. There will be venues all over. And we will be at one of them, I'm very sure. As soon as H texted me that they won the bid, I did the math for how old the kids would be and we agreed that was old enough to take them to a game. I just did the math too, and told my sister we need to bring our kids to one. She doesn't have an outside baby yet.

I am soaking in the tub. I’ve run around all morning like a chicken with its head cut off and finally made it home around 2:30. I’m planning on watching some more Grey’s (I’m like 12 episodes behind 😬) and doing a foot peel. I could really go for a nap but I only have a little over 2 hours until I need to go get the kids picked up.

So I interviewed for a part time teaching position last week and was offered the position today!!! The department head even asked if I'd consider full time after this upcoming school year. I'm so excited!

Hello. My sinuses are trying to kill me. This was me the last two days. So much pressure, like my head was going to explode. Advil cold and sinus asking with an ice pack and sleep really helped.

I thought Vancouver was included. That's what I heard on the radio at least. My MIL can see the stadium from her apartment and I live in soccer central. We will be right in the thick of it and I'm so excited! I might feel differently when I can't get to work, but I have time to figure it all iutm

The remainder of the garden has been planted, downstairs cleaned up and niece is napping.
I think we will head to the pool after nap.
Having her is not helping my serious case of baby fever. Maybe I’ll come to my senses by the end of the week.

Edmonton is, presumably at their football stadium Honestly, I'd be a little surprised if Edmonton ends up on the final list of 16 that will host. It is a long way to travel.
