How is his fucking wife letting him near their kids? This is mind boggling to me.
Nothing you can do except watch your kids and watch him and call the cops if he steps one toe out of line.

It's not uncommon for them to have access to their own children. Is this not known? Unless there is evidence of abuse of his own children, etc.
I mean look I know the idea of someone being into this is disgusting etc but possession does not automatically means the person is abusing. They are two different things especially in the eyes of the law.
Risk to others is weighed heavily at bond hearings etc. so in this case I would assume there have been not even any allegations that he has touched any child.

Yeah, I mean ... this is awful. But I would just watch my kids. Nobody knows the full scope of what’s going on and I have hope that the justice system is working to protect his children as well. I wouldn’t be calling CPS, making signs, involving local gov’t. His kids are probably going through a lot and I think these things could make it harder for them. The system is aware, they’re involved, no need to insert yourself.

I believe she means councillors, as in local elected government officials. Not attorneys. Yes, this. Ah gotcha. Here, counselor can mean attorney so that’s where I got confused.

I have an acquaintance who dropped off her young son there and the wife watched him. She was concerned and called authorities. She was upset..worried..did this man touch her son? They told her that they had no reason to believe he would take action with a child. They asked the wife if she felt safe with him in the home 3nd she said absolutely. And as of this morning the signs are up in my neighbors yard.

I don't have much to add beyond what PPs have said- I would not be taking any action but would just be watching my kids closely and making it clear my kids are watched. But I'm sorry this has happened in your neighborhood and can only imagine how upset you must be.

I think that the best you can do is not allow your children in the front yard to play, keep all play supervised, and just be aware. Let the justice system do it’s job. His next hearing is in two weeks and I just wish I could fast forward time. If he's out on bail, he won't go back in until sentencing, unless he violates his conditions. If he doesn't take a plea and his case goes to trial, it could be a year or more before he's sentenced. All I'm saying is don't hold your breath for these two weeks. Most likely not much will happen at the next hearing.

Something to keep in mind is that he’s most likely eligible for (and has a good chance of getting) probation.
So even after the sentencing he could still be out and about long term.
There will/should be measures put into place to keep him from reoffending and to keep the general public safe. Limited internet, lie detector tests, etc

It’s also possible that CPS is involved even if the children are in the home. In my experience, it would be unlikely that they wouldn’t have been notified to do an investigation at least. But given that his release conditions speak to access to kids with supervision, I’m not all that surprised he’s at home. However, they may still be involved to varying degrees and for varying amounts of time. Of course, CPS services are actually very regional and case specific so it’s hard to know on the outside. And I agree with McBenny in that now you know and can act accordingly to protect your children. This would shake me too @darlene and I hope you can find a way to, I don’t know, reconcile the circumstances for yourself to be able to live peacefully. I don’t know if I’m saying that well, I hope you are getting what I’m saying.

Limited internet, lie detector tests, etc This is true, especially if he doesn’t have any priors. There is a possibility he might end up with probation or a very brief prison sentence. Just be prepared. The bond was lowered, so something about this case is telling the Judge that he’s not an immediate risk. Which, it sounds weird, but take comfort in that.
