I just spent 2 hours getting E to sleep. 5 minutes after I hear a massive poop. Should I let her sleep or change the diaper and take another 2 hours to get her back to sleep. I feel like a first time mom again. I'd try to discretely peek to make sure if it was poop and not a fart, but if it was poop I'd change her. Otherwise it could lead to nasty diaper rash. Sorry. I hope she goes back to sleep quickly. |

The inspector cancelled on us, my brother got called away for an emergency with his baby mama's family, and someone stole my garage door opener.
What a week.

tgrimes thanks. That is a pain reliever like dog ibprofen. Did you tell your vet about the personality changes, accidents, and snapping? Because those aren’t consistent with what they are treating. Honestly my concern is some sort of neurological issue like a brain tumor. I’m sorry to say that and alarm you but we would have referred to a neurologist who would then recommend a CT scan, which at her age you may not want to do (plus $). I would suggest calling or emailing your vet saying her legs seem better but there are all of these other things at play that are concerning and ask what she recommends. With what you are describing, regardless of a diagnosis, I am concerned about her quality of life. Again I’m sorry to say that but if it’s not a quick fix and she is deteriorating mentally and/or physically, I do feel like it’s something to think about.

tgrimes that sounds stressful and poor pup🙁. I think wedding has good advice. And I am a dog lover, but am not one to prolong a downward slope, especially if there are concerns about safety around kids. Merph, hugs.

Just got back from Target, I had to exchange the swim diapers I bought Sunday b/c apparently I cannot read size labels. B asked for this new pool toy that lights up and the kid seriously never asks for anything so I got it for him; got home and saw on the label that it shoots water up to 35 feet. Awesome. Meanwhile the 2nd and final end table will be here on Thursday! This is the firstliest of FWPs but I'm glad I'll have both in time for my ILs visit this weekend. Speaking of, I'm kind of annoyed, MIL texted my H this morning asking if they could bring their dog that is not known for his bladder control. Nothing like waiting til the last minute--what am I supposed to say at this point? DH knows I'm irritated, I told him I would drop kick the thing into the pool if he even looks like he's going to pee on the new rug. No clue why they insist on bringing him...he hates our kids, hates our dog, and will basically be miserable. I’m not gonna lie, I laughed out loud at the thought of you kicking a dog into the pool. Yay for the end table finally though! |

The teacher whose teeth met Cs head called out sick today because his mouth hurt. I hope his teeth are ok.
C is doing well though and had a bath tonight without complaint.

I haven’t been able to check in hardly at all today. Work was slow this morning but I found some things to do. Then it was home for lunch/nap. While the girls were napping I did some work outside. Then after they woke up I went to the garden center to get a warranty replacement on a couple of plants that didn’t survive from last year, then to aldi. After we got home the new neighbors across the street were outside so the girls and I went over and introduced ourselves. They have 5 year old and 2 year old girls with one on the way due in August. I hope the kids all become friends, this is very ideal.
Re movies: H used to be scared of the tiger at the beginning of Aladdin but aside from that nothing in movies really bothers her, S either. I think we may have watched the original Willy Wonka but I can’t remember, we have definitely watched the new one. S’s recent movie obsession is Lion King so we’ve been watching that a lot lately.

I never watched Baywatch the TV show, but if you want something funny and mindless to watch Baywatch the movie is great. It's on Prime and Hulu. I was pleasantly surprised. It makes fun of itself with its cheesiness. I watched baywatch when I lived overseas and learned a lot of Russian that way. |
