New week...figured new thread?
I took DD swimming today. She wanted to go in the leisure pool. I only went in up to the tops of my legs and only for about 15 minutes...the rest of the time we were in the normal pool. But now I'm worried it was bad for me.
Anyone want to talk me down off a ledge for swimming? Or going in the hot pool? Anyone?

sammysam, I’m not sure what the concern would be with swimming? I do understand the part about the hot tub, but if you were only in up to your legs and you didn’t feel uncomfortably hot, I would imagine it’s fine. Avoiding risk completely is impossible. Try taking a deep breath. I definitely get the anxiety in general.

I showed DH my tests last night and he didn’t believe me. I was up extra early, so I picked up a digital and it was positive, which convinced him. Then I stopped at the OB clinic before work and they confirmed it! My first appointment/ultrasound is scheduled for July 17.

nikkipal Yeah it's the hot pool that I'm worried about. I went swimming there with DD early in my loss pregnancy and SO asked me the other day if I thought the swimming had anything to do with the loss. So I'm just worried about everything:/

sammysam I get being worried about everything. But what you’re describing doesn’t sound particularly risky to me. Hugs! I have a constant headache today and am hungry/queasy. I’m in a mediation all day and wish I could just go home and nap instead. My boss is here with me and I hope I can find something decent to eat when we break for lunch.

dashook I know I'm being irrationally insane. I just need to hear other people tell me this. So thank you:) And when you wrote mediation I totally read it as meditation and was like...Cool. Law is such a stressful profession they need some time to meditate!

So my beta numbers from yesterday were exactly what I had calculated they "should" have been judging by the sensitivity of the FRER test and when I got my bfp. So based on my calculations my numbers are exactly doubling in about a 48 hour period.
I go for my next draw tomorrow but my math teacher self is feeling good about the results!

4+2 today and the nausea hit HARD last night. I definitely didn't feel this crappy before 6 weeks previously. Don't get me wrong...I'm loving it. It makes me feel so much more confident. But I may start throwing up at any moment.
Plus I woke up at 3:30 am and could not fall asleep again.
So glad I only have 2 more weeks after this before summer break starts!

It's been like this for me this time around too. Symptoms started at, no joke, 3+5. Part of why I was wondering for a short while if it could be twins.

dashook I wonder if there's a reason for this...like...I'm getting older so maybe I'm more sensitive to the hormonal changes?

Have you tried unisom and B6? 😬I think it is helping me.

So my brother has been all concerned about me at work. He keeps trying to get me to sit down (we share an office) whenever we're talking, etc. Today he told me that his wife told him that you shouldn't stand for very long if you're pregnant because gravity will pull everything out of you. I had to try so hard not to laugh or say something sarcastic because he was being so protective and caring. But I figure if that's what he actually believes I'll milk it for all it's worth while I can.

Foxy that's my plan! With DD we didn't tell anyone so I was repointing brick and scrubbing windows for MIL when I was pregnant with DD. Then I broke my ankle and cracked my shoulder at work when I was 6 months. After that I did nothing.

Today was my last day of school! I just have to go in for a couple of hours tomorrow to clean up and sign out and then it's summer break! This was a stressful end of the year, so I'm very excited about relaxing as much as possible for the next 2 months.

Exams here don't start until next week and we're here until the last day of June. At least the last day for us is just a big party/brunch with the staff that admin puts on for us so it's pretty fun. Is your LO home with you for the summer? I hope you're able to find some time for yourself. Enjoy your break!!!

sammysam He's still going to go to daycare 2x/week because he loves it and also because I am a writer as well and I need some time alone to write. Also my mom still wants to come 1x/week to hang out with him, so that's fine with me. They have a great bond and it's helpful to have her here with him so I can do some things around the house. I also have to write an entire curriculum for a new class I'm teaching next year, so I have lots of work to still do even though I'm off. Hang in there...the end is in sight!

stayingblonde I'm glad you'll get a bit of kid free time over the summer. Luckily I have no new courses to prepare for September but I am trying to change a few units in one of my grade 11 courses. DD is in school so she's out for the summer. My parents are OOT until November and SO works crazy hours...so I'll be entertaining a 4 year old ALL summer. I'm trying to get as much work done as I can at school over the next couple if weeks so that hopefully I won't have too much to do over the summer. I've been teaching for 15 years and September will be the first semester I haven't had to prepare a new course. I'm so glad. I'm not sure I would've been able to get it all done with the nausea and exhaustion. What sort of writing do you do? I always wanted to be a writer so I am always so jealous of people who do this!

sammysam I write young adult novels. Well, I used to, anyway. It's been so hard to write with working FT + mom-ing a toddler. #2 isn't going to make it any easier. I need to crank out a book during summer and try to get back in the game!
