My DD is with her dad this month (we split summers in half) but I got to have lunch with her today and it absolutely made my day!

Roseola sucks. Our 11 month old has it. She is thankfully past the fever and on to the rash, cough, irritable stage. Any takers? I was also at a beach party with our 3 yr old over the weekend and just found out yesterday that one of the kids there came down with the chicken pox. Ugh.
On a positive note, I have some amount of money coming to me so we can finally get a dishwasher!

Rosella was probably the sickest my kid has been. He got it around 16 months or so. It took a full week to recover. Hopefully your LO is better quickly!

I finally found something for H for father’s day. It’s a shave and scotch lounge. Basically an old time barber shop while he sips on various scotch. Im so excited for “the kids” to give him his gift.

I have no clue what to get my dad for Father's Day. I always used to get him golf balls but that just doesn't seem like enough.
I wish it was as easy to shop for Father's Day for my dad as it is to shop for Mother's Day for my stepmother or MIL. One gets a bottle of Chardonnay, the other gets a potted plant, done.

I'm getting MH a new salad spinner for Father's day because we need a new salad spinner. I got a new toaster for mother's day. We're obviously really into gift giving.

I took my kid to Target yesterday to kill some time and thought it might be fun to let him pick out a Father’s Day gift on his own.
Apparently he wasn’t interested. He just said anything we saw.
Daddy really wants new shampoo. He really does, Mommy!
He wound up picking some sweatpants 🤷🏻♀️
I am giving him an Apple gift card, too. It’s all he ever wants

I happened to stumble across some lawn chairs way back before MD and had H sit in them. He agreed they were comfy and what he had been looking for. He’s so picky about lawn chairs and his 3 legged one he has had since who knows when finally broke last year. He tried duct taping it. I threw it away last month and haven’t told him yet because he’s getting 2 new chairs for FD.

So we got a bunch of Target gift cards for the baby....anything we need for the baby? Do you have a rock and play? That was hands down my favorite baby item. (Of course that was before the SNOO was invented and I’m not SNOO rich) If there is nothing pressing I would save it because you know, something always comes up.

I am actually annoyed that the stroller we need (because we got car seat hand me down) is double the price at Target then it is at Amazon.

I would really consider the rock and play. I got the most basic one (not motorized) but just loved how light weight and portable it was. It’s great for newborn naps because it’s reclined in a way that helps reflux. And the cover is washable!

@juliagulia,
I just ordered the stroller on Amazon, because with the completion discount it was 150-as opposed to Target's sky high price of 500. However, it won't ship until July....which is PROBABLY why target has the price tag it does.

My dd wasn't around many of the kids because they were all swimming and I felt 70 degrees and drizzly was a bit too cold for my 3yr old to be swimming. All of the other kids were around 8 yrs old or so.

It’s DD1’s last week of school. I look forward to some time off from having to plan lunch so early in the morning. We are putting one of our cats down today. He’s been not doing great for a while, and today in particular he’s not doing well. I know that it’s ultimately a kindness, and our responsibility as pet owners, but it’s still tough. Very late - I'm so sorry.

I second the suggestion of the Rock & play (we got the auto). I thought we didn't need one, but ended up running out while visiting H's parents to grab one for our reflux baby. We bought one in FL for DS to sleep in until we got home (we were told it could be up to 3 weeks for paperwork to clear). I figured it was cheap and if we didn’t love it we could leave it there. Well, we loved it and took it back with us to CA and it’s now on a 4th baby in our friend group in 5 years. Best $40 I’ve ever spent. Lol.

fancynewbeesly, if you don't have a fun play mat, DS and every other baby I've heard of loved the kick & play piano.

@fancynewbeasley Do you have a soft baby carrier? That was the best baby thing we owned, and Target has some nice ones.

I’d save some gift cards until after she’s here. You never know what might pop up that you need. Like for DS2 we ended up needing to get clothes because he was so much tinier then DS1.

DS2 (2.5 yrs) has spent the last two days pulling down his pants and diaper and then peeing on the bathroom floor...right next to the toilet. He says "Sorry mama. Me a big boy like DS1". I'm thinking maybe this a sign to start PT. I'd love to be done with diapers.
DS1 has been on prednisone since yesterday for poison ivy. It seems to just be his legs so they will let him in school this week. He still has 3 weeks left thanks to snowdays.
I had a job interview last week for a school system I covered a mat leave in almost 10 yrs ago. They emailed me today for references so fingers crossed. I actually interviewed with 2 people I taught with last time.
