Trump's antics at the G7 this weekend could be the start of his undoing with establishment Republicans, especially if he royally fucks up the summit with Kim Jong Un that he's admitted he isn't fucking preparing for because hey, it's about attitude you guys!!!!! Only if their donors start losing massive amounts of money in the market. I have zero faith in the GOP. They are sheep who unfortunately are determined to put party over country. I’m in a safe house district so, I’ll be working with Swingleft to get the asshole out in the district next to mine. The G7 antics have really made me paranoid about Putin’s hold on Cheeto.

No I agree with you totally - but once we start to see the consequences for this tariff shit - he is fucked either way, especially if tomorrow doesn't go well.
I read an article about the G7, and he literally fucking fell asleep, or at least dozed off for parts he didn't care for.
What in the actual fuck man? This is just beyond embarrassing at this point.

Is it just going to be a shitshow or will we reach clusterfuck this week? I just can't believe we have this man as the leader of our country.

SC upholds Ohio voter purge law. 5-4 of course This means other states will likely follow Ohio's lead and start purging voters more aggressively. Ugh.

This has zero to do with anything but does anyone watch Claws? Season 2 started last night and they have been taken over by the Russians. When Riva (the russian) is supposed to be coming into the salon, they start redecorating including putting up a portrait of 45 with Putin. She is in all their phones as Mrs Putin. It made me laugh.

Celebrate Fairfax was a pretty infuriating experience this weekend. People were carrying around fans with Barbara Comstock's stupid face on them and there were some mega-aggressive anti choice activists that you HAD to walk pasts to get in. I shouldn't have to walk my kids past 4 foot tall photos of a fetus to get into a fucking carnival. When the guy offered me information I told him that if he needs to resort to shock value to get his message across, he's losing. Ugh. All of that would definitely not be putting me in a state of mind to celebrate Fairfax, that’s for sure. It’s not my district, but I am very much looking forward to campaigning for Comstack’s Democratic challenger. I’ll be throwing time and money at that race, the VA senate race, and a couple of races in NY this fall.

Also, in super important news, the "B" in IHoP's name change is for.... Burgers. WTF. It’s not an official change, just for marketing I’m gonna say they missed w/ this one. I’m holding a grudge against them because they took my favorite breakfast scramble off the menu.

In case you didn't see on the Tonys last night, Stoneman Douglas students sang "Seasons of Love" from Rent, absolutely slayed, and I am crying.

SC upholds Ohio voter purge law. Can you breakdown what the voter purge law is for me? I’m not familiar but it doesn’t sound good.

SC upholds Ohio voter purge law. Can you breakdown what the voter purge law is for me? I’m not familiar but it doesn’t sound good. It's a "use-it-or-lose-it" law. So if you are registered to vote but you don't actually vote for x amount of time, you can be purged from the voter rolls and have to re-register before you're allowed to vote again. Except you won't know when they purge you so you'll go to vote and find out you aren't registered.

I read a story today how 1500 year old trees in Africa are suddenly dying due to climate change. Everything is fine!

I agree it seems like blatant voter suppression but if five supreme court justices thought it was ok then there must be something to the case that I don't understand.

It's a thing because if you can control who can vote, you can control the outcome. That's the real voter fraud (via suppression), not "dead people" voting.

Because yeah, not shocked nor am I confident it was the right decision.

We're thisclose to having a five who think the right of a fetus to gestate is more important than the right of a woman to control her own health... so yeah. 5 does not give me comfort.
