If she does decide to take a nap longer than 30 mins it’s late in the day, like 3 or 4 pm. Today she finally napped at 3 and I woke her at 5:30. So bizarre. Another issue. She’s taken bottles of pumped milk no problem. H tried a bottle of formula this weekend, same bottle, same temp as normal, she was hungry but not too hungry and she would not drink it. Has anyone gotten past this problem? Should we just keep trying? My stash is getting low and this time I refuse to pump extra everyday. Not doing it. with H, she has to be borderline starving to eat from a bottle. She can’t be overtired either. It also has to be extra warm. And also, if MIL is giving it to her, she has to put her in her car seat and let her play with her toys while she feeds her. She can’t hold her. Something about the toys distracts her enough that she’ll drink it. She took it fine the other night from MH when he was holding her tho 🤷🏼♀️ ETA just reread it and saw that you tried formula. I missed that before. You can try mixing her bottles with 3/4 BM and 1/4 formula and slowly increase the amounts of formula to it until she gets used to the taste. DD1 hates formula when we had to supplement when I worked. But I read somewhere that the honest company formula was the closest tasting formula to BM so we tried that and she took it no problems. I haven’t had to try it with H yet tho

That’s what we are half heartedly doing with N right now. We had DS fully on formula by about 8 months, 6 months for DD1, so I’m ready to start transitioning. I tend to notice my anxiety levels rising as they have been lately around this stage (4-6 months), for whatever reason, and going to formula has always eased that in the past, so that’s kind of where I’m at.

I might lose it. I got 2 hours of sleep so far tonight. Idk wtf Os problem is but I'm really hoping it's not sleep bc I'm exhausted
Dd1 is sick and I'm frustrated that mh is just expecting me to take off. Dude. I've been back to work for 2 weeks, are you joking? Last time I checked you were also their parent. The big one is manageable with some fucking Dora and he could even wfh. Ughhhhhhhhhh

rebeccabunch Glad everyone is feeling better! DS is 17 weeks and over the past few days his napping has gotten a lot worse too- it's hard to get him to nap and when he does it's 30-45 min. He used to easily take a two hour nap so this is new territory. His nighttime sleep has been fine still though so who knows!

I'm not sure why O was just awake!! I'm afraid its the sleep regression, if I remember correctly her sister went through it a little early too. If it is, I need to hustle into some crib sleep at night, whether that's in her room or in the PnP in mine (she's in the RnP).
For my older my H is wfh this morning and we're both taking a half day to compensate. Because of my job I can't really tell him exactly what's going on - we have some sensitive changes happening that will impact his team and I wasn't sure if they were going to do them today or not. Its frustrating. At any rate I brought O with me to the back up center downstairs and I'll just go get her at lunch and go home.
I'll bring home my laptop too and if dd1 is still sick I'll end up having to wfh with her, not sure what I'll do with O bc I'd rather she be home too but no way can I wfh with 2 at home. :/
How do you other working momma balance sick kid duty?

Just catching up. We belong to this childcare service. It's $150 a year. They guarantee placement even while sick. It's pricey but good in a pinch. We got a sitter assigned last week when DD2 was sick so we didn't have to take off work. Even though it's expensive per hour, it's still way less than what DH and I each make hourly. That's how I justified it at least.

Usually it is DH as he has a more flexible schedule but some afternoons I get off early and can pick up if one gets sick.
