Baby just sucked down a 3oz bottle like she’s been doing it forever. Say what? This could be a game changer. Only took 4.5 months. Also DH had yesterday off so it feels like Sunday but it’s only Saturday and that’s glorious.
What is on your weekend agenda?

ajetter YAY! Baby’s not taking bottles is the Worst. Packing is on the agenda today! We actually got a lot done yesterday and I hope we keep up the momentum! Once I put the baby I am going to start laundry and load up a container with clothes that I am not going to need. 19 days until we move, we got this! Lol

Hooray! ajetter! We have plans to go to a natural history museum today. I was up just before 6 with the baby and he went back to sleep but I couldn't.

I went to Target and Dollar Tree alone with the kids which was. . . an adventure. Lol. Now I am just willing them to hurry up eating so I can put them down for nap and binge ER 🙌🙌

I'm here. This was the first Saturday in months without DS having an activity. We went to a local bagel place for breakfast as a family, and then I took DS for a haircut followed by groceries. That was all done before noon!
DH has been taking care of DD most of the day, which is a nice break before he leaves for a 4day work trip tomorrow.
No plans for the rest of the day. We're having pork chops with sweet potatoes and asparagus for supper tonight.

Hi!!
O was up at 445 😴
I took the girls to the zoo. I met my parents there. DH is off at a mud run with his Co workers.
Trying to start my homework.. When DH gets home well go to the pool. Grill hot dogs for dinner. Girls need a bath so they'll get that tonight too.

Hi! I am finally free enough to catch up here. I have been busy all day. The baby woke up 373847383737 from coughing. He isn’t feeling well but has no fever. Just a cough and some congestion. I hope he sleeps better tonight. I am not feeling great either. I have a sore throat which is making my lack of sleep less tolerable. I still went to work for a few hours. Now I am home. G is playing with her water table and MH is inside feeding the baby. We are grilling burgers for dinner and I am excited about it. Tonight MH has D&D so I will be enjoying some quiet time if I can stay awake. Lol.

Happy Saturday!
Today we went to a big fair with some friends. DD1 went on a bunch of rides and loved it, but man is it hot! There was almost no shade anywhere, so it was an exercise in squeezing into half-foot strips of shade to protect the baby. I mean, she had a floppy hat on, but still. Too hot.
Now we’re cooling off at home while H is at a political meeting. Dinner will be as little effort as possible.

pippiann seriously. Although for me it’s any time I sit down to eat she suddenly wakes up or needs something.

BIL took DS1 on a memorial/ fundraiser bike a thon this morning. I'm all for donating to a good cause but it was $25 entry fee plus another $7 for the brat feed afterwards. I'm so glad we decided against doing it as a family because we'd be in it for over $100. Maybe I'm just cheap like that...

Faith went to bed early last night and slept all night. She was awake for about 90 minutes then went back to sleep for an hour, up for an hour, slept for 2 1/2 hours, up for 2 hours and back down for a nap. I'm glad she is catching up on her sleep. We went down to a neighborhood food truck party but ended up taking our food to go because storms were rolling in.
Even though I have a few half finished sewing projects I got an urge to start a quilt today. I already had the fabric and I got the fabric ironed, cut, and the pattern laid out. It was originally going to be for me, then maybe my mom for her retirement present, but I like it more than I thought I would so I might keep it. *shruggy guy* I'm going to try to have it finished before our family pictures (my side of the family this time) on Saturday so we have a blanket for the kids to sit on for some pictures. If it doesn't get done we can use the one I made for Faith so I don't have to much pressure. This is also a really easy pattern and should come together fairly quickly.

I tried to transition the baby to the pack n play last night (instead of the snuggabunny rocker.) Whooooooo boy. That did not work. She slept the first 2 hours in it, but after that was a shitshow. By 3:15 I had gotten one hour of sleep, so I gave up and put her in the snuggabunny.
I am so tired.

Agreed on baby knowing when you are hungry. I feel like I always need to feed her or put her down for a nap at the beginning of every meal.
And for race fees, we do them as our fun/social stuff so we don't mind paying for them. We don't really go out otherwise b/c we are old and lame. But yes those fees do add up! There is a local race series that has free races each month, so we try to make it to those sometimes! (I'm talking running but bike events are pretty much the same.)
We are fighting lice tooth and nail. Last night we got take out from Chick-fil-a b/c we were feeling so defeated. I'm still full from the fries, my body isn't used to stuff like that. We have to get rid of it so we can go back to work. Our jobs are being tolerant but we really should start showing up more regularly.

I’m actually feeling refreshed this morning. Yesterday was horrible as far as exhaustion goes because the baby was up a ton on Friday night. My mom suggested that we put him in his full size crib in the nursery and give him gripe water before bed. He slept finally and was up to eat only once. We got 8 hours of sleep which hasn’t happened in over a month for either H or I. And DS2 woke up smiling instead of screaming.

easternshoregirl I’m sorry about the lice. I had it chronically as a kid whenever I was forced to share a cubby with a certain kid. I have super thick hair which made it worse. The only thing my mom could do was she kept my hair super short.

Baby is 19 weeks and barely napping. I think the 4 month regression is hitting us mostly at naptime. Anyone else experiencing this?
How long are your LOs up between naps these days?

bassa maybe try gradually transitioning, one stretch for a few days then when the stretches get longer try two and so on. I always try to go with all or nothing approach and it bits me in the butt. +1 to 30/45 min naps

Hi!
We prioritized a quiet weekend, I needed a mental break and H has been able to do a lot so I can. So that’s been good. Friday night I also got DD1s 3 year photo book finished, and caught up on the other two kids’!
Today we have a church BBQ after the service, and home the rest of the day again. Last week through weekend especially was nuts, so it’s been nice to slow down and catch up on things a little.

I’ve been in bed most of the day. I am sick. Thankfully MH has been on kid duty. I just took some medicine so I will hopefully be able to function for the rest of the day.

Add us to the barely-napping group!
He is so tired but is basically refusing to nap

I woke up with some diarrhea and it gotten worse throughout the day. I slept a good chunk of the afternoon and I thought I had slept it off but evidently not. We are now adding puking to the mix.

If she does decide to take a nap longer than 30 mins it’s late in the day, like 3 or 4 pm. Today she finally napped at 3 and I woke her at 5:30. So bizarre.
Another issue. She’s taken bottles of pumped milk no problem. H tried a bottle of formula this weekend, same bottle, same temp as normal, she was hungry but not too hungry and she would not drink it.
Has anyone gotten past this problem? Should we just keep trying? My stash is getting low and this time I refuse to pump extra everyday. Not doing it.
