Let’s see some squishes! This one is 3 1/2 months now. The problem with hand-me-downs when you were born at a different time of year than your older brother is that the holidays don’t quite line up...

Morning peeps! My sister is babysitting my friends 2yo once a week in the AM which sort of means she’s watching DD too (even though I’m not paying her lol) bc the girls are besties. So right now I have a quiet house bc DS is napping & the girls are at the park. About to make a smoothie & do my workout before DS needs to eat again.
Today I have my first tutoring session with a family from my school! I’m tutoring them in writing this summer so we will see how it goes. Thankfully they’re coming to my house & I’m getting $90 for two hours of tutoring a week.
Here’s my cuties:

*Grossness alert*
J has been on antibiotics since Thursday and I anticipated frequent and/or loose stool due to the medication. But it has been the opposite. He hadn't pooped since Sunday afternoon!
I knew he was really uncomfortable and his pediatrician's office recommended "rectal stimulation" - basically insert a thermometer and make a circular rotation. I did that this morning and... it worked. He pooped... a lot!

We gifted DH's parents with a family photo session as a combo Mother's and Father's Day gift (we did the same for my parents but we haven't had that session yet). I picked up Faith from daycare at 3:00 to bring her home so she could get a good nap in and be happy for pictures. She got a good nap in but was not in the mood to smile for any of the pictures... This was one of the last ones taken and it cracks me up. Here is one of the family shots... Most of the pictures are like the second one, Faith not even looking at the camera, let alone smiling. Oh well, she is just a baby and we still got some cute pictures. I feel absolutely huge, I've gained 10 pounds even after dropping the baby weight. I'm only 5'3 and 10 pounds makes a difference on my body. It doesn't help that MIL is 4'9, so sitting next to her makes the proportions seem off. DH and FIL are actually standing below the rocks we are sitting on so that doesn't help.

DD2 is still sick so no pictures of her from the last few days. I put this together last weekend - right before she turned 1 mo and at 5 mo. Crazy how big she is now. Makes me sad. And watching Barbie with DD1 on Saturday morning.

Happy Wednesday! Here’s my girlies. Not too much time left with 2 under 2. DD1 turns 1 in August. Baby has hit the 4 month sleep regression. But I’m going to switch from the halo sleep sack to zippadee zip since she’s started rolling and hope that helps a little.

Our local pool opened on the 1st so we went there for the first time this season yesterday. It was N’s first time at the pool, the girls each had new suits I was super excited about, and all 3 kids had a lot of confidence in the pool this year! The pics of the kids in their suits at home was me sending to H telling him to come home so we could go lol. (Everything feels normal with 3 now, but I’m not pool brave yet haha)

You look wonderful and happy and that’s most important Yeah, two back to back pregnancies didn't help. I just can't believe I added 10 pounds in a few months after dropping all the baby weight (15 pounds) in about a week. I mean, I was eating like crazy because I was always starving so I guess I can believe it. lol My hair is also super thin now (the shedding has almost gone back to normal levels) and I just feel so self conscious of my appearance overall. I know that I'm by far my own worst critic and I just need to stop eating all the food. And do something other than sit at my desk or on the couch all day.

We've not had family pictures (other than snapshots) since our wedding 4 years ago and of course we were the focus of the family shots. Our newborn photographer was offering $150 mini sessions (30ish minutes and then 15 digital prints with print release) so it seemed like a perfect opportunity. I'm happy we did them.

aprilz81...you said it, we are our own worst critic. I also sit behind a desk all day so I have started getting up and walking around more. My 3 year old started at his summer/3k program on Monday. It's been a terrible transition, he's been breaking my heart with all the tears. On Monday when I picked him up I asked him how his day went. He got big crocodile tears in his eyes and said I cried a lot. I said oh no, why? He said because I missed you! Then yesterday when I dropped him off his was inconsolable and kept saying mama I want you. I just called to check on him and they said he is starting to play with kids so that is good. I am hoping by next week he won't start crying when we talk about going to his new school. In other news we have most of the trees cut down where the new house is going, my H just has to clear the stumps. I am so excited to break ground & hope we are in before C starts crawling! Hope everyone is doing well, I have been a bit absent as work has been crazy!

Hi! I hope everyone is having a great day. I don’t have any new pics of G because she is always so busy. Here they both are. Ian is 5 mo. G is 3.

I am kind of in a "woe is me" slump. I knew this was coming but at J's 4 month appointment, his pedi told me his neck/head strength isn't as strong as it should be for a 4 month old. He is a big boy with a huge head .... and hates tummy time. He hasn't rolled over (either direction) and his head is a little wobbly still. He doesn't do much weight bearing on his legs.
We use the jumperoo and the sit-me-up and do as much tummy time as he allows. We need to continue these things and will reassess at J's 6 month appointment to determine if any intervention is needed.
DD had a gross motor delay and this is bringing back all those memories. I know kids will do things on their own time but still gets me worried. (She didn't crawl until almost 1 years old and started walking at 16 months. She needed physical therapy)

There are two cases of HFM in the baby section of J's daycare. The cases aren't in J's actual classroom but the kids group together for drop off and pick up. I am so worried he will get it.

Happy hump day ladies!! The past few days have been horrible on the sleep front! I am really hoping he’ll take a good nap! I got my replacement frame yesterday for my stroller and it was the wrong one, I wanted to cry. I am getting the correct one today, thankfully. I take the kids out everyday to the park or to the grocery store soo it’s really put a damper on our getting of the house. I really hope I get it before 8 sooo I can take the big to the park, he’s getting stir crazy this morning. We got the house, so I need to get my butt in gear and pack, pack, pack!!!

This is a really dumb question - have you taken your LO into chlorinated water?
We didn't take DD into a pool until she was 6 months old. Not sure if sooner is OK

Just yesterday. She’s almost 5 months and I didn’t go past her knees because it was a little cool, not cold, but didn’t want to make her hate it!
