Last Day of Kindergarten! I'm currently letting him watch Temple of Doom while I work. Then he gets to come vote with me before we pick the other one up from preschool.

Jealous of your fun night, sheilathetank ! I'm working for another 45 minutes then going home to take care of the children/husband. I have run out of renewals on the Hamilton soundtrack I borrowed from the library so unfortunately I have to bring that back tonight. I might cry. Maybe I should just buy my own copy. It's on Amazon music if you're a prime member. Otherwise it's on Spotify. I have a paid Spotify account so theoretically I can listen whenever I want. Just not in my car since I don't have a hook up for that. But it'll be ok.

Traffic was awful today. H got stuck in it too, so here comes a night of, “I hate where we live.”

I used to have one in my car that played through the radio, but the cassette player hookup is more reliable in my experience.

I’m about to take a nap.
Most of the time if I’m staying more than a couple days somewhere, I unpack. It’s too messy living out of a suitcase.

Oh, the olden days of iPod usage...

I just made a really delicious stirfry for dinner and my kid actually ate tonight.
She went to bed last night at 5:30 and fell asleep right away and now keeps saying she is tired. I am trying to keep her awake a bit longer then I think I will make myself a big tea.
It is very here chilly today.

I am bored, so I'll ask, does anyone really unpack their suitcase into the dresser at the hotel? I never see the point. Unless I'm staying for a week or more, I just live out of my suitcase. if i'm there more than a couple night then probably. I always hang stuff immediately though

I unpack if we are staying for more than a night. I usually share my suitcase w/ one of the kids and it makes it easier to keep track of everything.
Also, I'd definitely recommend listening to Hamilton before seeing it. I pick up something new every time I listen.

DH got a dental implant today. So far he's doing okay with recovery. Fx it continues to go smoothly and impacts me and the kids minimally. 😉

I only unpack things that need or should be hung up. Other than that I keep my luggage in the bathroom but bringing home bed bugs once was one too many times.

My H is home for an hour so I'm hiding from him and the kids. Bath doesn't sound like it's going well. The big one has been a major PITA since I picked him up from school so the second H leaves it's bedtime.
It's my pup's 12th bday today so I made doggie cupcakes and human cupcakes. She was so excited.
I also have an interview this week for a part time teaching job. I'm optimistic since I was a year long perm sub at the high school a few years back. After a year it could go full time and I'm daydreaming about that paycheck, $80,000 yr in teaching around here is unheard of. The district maxes out at $115K but that's if I got my doctorate 🙃

Work and school are trying to kill me. Summer is my busiest time at work and I thought it would be a good idea to take an intensive 4 week class. I'm an idiot

I've looked at moving abroad to teach but my licensure is in an area that is cut here first during budget cuts. I'm not sure how it works into international curriculum.

I just told the child that from now on every time he says "I'm bored" I'm going to walk into his playroom and toss a toy in the trash. He's less than pleased with me right now.
