That's great your sister can make it bunnyfungo . How many days are left that you need to find help for? I’m thinking DH will take vacation starting when my sister has to leave through when baby is born if she isn’t here. So I would just need to cover anything before my sister gets here. I had DD1 and DD2 at 37w3d, but then DD3 didn’t come until 39 weeks. So I don’t know how early I should try to get coverage.

Ugh, we got a notice that the pool has been closed for maintenance. Whyyyyyy. That's code for poop usually.

Yay. My sister said she could come here from July 16-23! I’m due July 27, so imma need baby to cooperate. It would be cool for baby to share a bday with either DH (7/25), or my sister (7/26), but it would be even cooler if baby came while I had help 😂 OMG that is huge for you. Congratulations. I hope the baby cooperates.

You guys. Please send positive vibes this way. Walter got away from his adopter today on a walk and is now missing. I’m hysterical. I am so scared for him. Please send thoughts of them finding him ASAP. My poor baby. Poor walker. I will think nothing but good thoughts and hope this is still a good placement for him.

klondike - can you still make it happen even if they are kind of far away or are there county/district restrictions? @juliagulua - I hope they find him quickly. Poor Walter.

Maybe all of the beginning of July? Hopefully the people you know are around July 4th week.

klondike - can you still make it happen even if they are kind of far away or are there county/district restrictions? Supposedly there are going to be supply issues also. I don't want to get a medical card & be put on THE list if I can't get it. Pain management will cut off my pain meds if I'm on the list & I'm afraid there won't be any medical marijuana accessible either. Then I'll have nothing. I can't figure out how it all works exactly so I'm being cautious.

I’m sorry it’s not going to work for now, but hopefully it’s a step in the right direction.

I've worked at a city pool and never dealt with this nonsense. 24 hours if it was at all runny or wasn’t caught before it started to dissolve. They need time to bring the chlorine level way up and then let it get back down to safe for swimming

Ugh, we got a notice that the pool has been closed for maintenance. Whyyyyyy. That's code for poop usually. Or chlorine is out of whack and they need to partially drain.

There is also the problem of effectiveness. In a year, I can try it, but what if it doesn't work? I'm required to have monthly pain management dr appts and I can be randomly drug tested at any time. Ohio is patting itself on the back, but there are a lot of us potential users that have no idea what to do.

I’m convinced it’s poop. It’s always poop. Here, yes. Not IRL please.

The one time I had to close a pool I worked at it was an alkalinity issue. Someone had mixed up the soda ash and baking soda the previous shift and the water was super cloudy because nothing could dissolve. We couldn’t see all the drains so we had to close the pools until we could rebalance.

I hope that as it gets more mainstream that pain management doctors will look to other “legal” methods rather than penalize those who are trying to avoid opioids. Duh. Isn’t the opioid epidemic bad enough!?! I am pretty sure that here I can get CBD lotions/balms without a card. I don’t think topically it’s enough to trip a test (but don’t quote me on it). My BFF’s mom swears by it for joint pain after many years of chemo. I hate that it’s such a clusterfuck for the people who will actually benefit from it.

For the record, it’s usually advanced adult incontinence issues that close the pool at my mom’s gym rather than kids. The kids are required to wear swim diapers and they don’t often leak.
I worked there during my teens/early 20s and have seen poop floating and on the deck. Automatic 24 hour shut down and bacteria test before reopening=lots of unhappy people.

@juliagulia Any update on Walter? My heart dropped when I read your post- how scary. Hopefully they found him. No. I haven’t heard anything. I’m going to bed and I’m considering heading down there tomorrow to help look. I’m having a really hard time right now and need to shut off my brain.

I recently bought some from Old Navy that are great. Are they the drawstring ones? I just ordered a pair last night since I had super cash. Yes they are! So comfy.
