We had a nice weekend and now it is back to the grind. This will be Faith's first 5 day week at daycare, I hope she is getting used to it so she naps better. She slept so much over the weekend... They did the cutest craft with her on Friday, I'm going to keep it for her baby book/scrapbook. They painted one of her feet and then use it to make a flower. *heart eyes*
I have an interview this afternoon for an internal job (same company, same account, different position) but I'm not sure I want it if it is offered. Pros: different boss, learn some new stuff, exposure to management team, getting rid of my least favorite clients. Cons: learning new stuff, possibly heavier workload, I would be working alone even more than I do now and possibly no increase in pay. I don't want to change for the sake of change so I'm going to use this interview this afternoon to see if it is a lateral move or an actual step forward. We'll see.
I also want to run to Kohl's today. I have $40 in Kohl's cash that expired yesterday that I hope they let me us and $30 that starts today. I went over last night and they had already closed. Boo.

We misplaced or mislabeled or bin of 12 month clothes and he's in desperate need of those sleepers so I know what we will be doing tonight. All of the extra kid clothes were in the same closet so I have no idea where they went

aprilz81 lateral moves still mean a small pay increase here so fx?

aprilz81 lateral moves still mean a small pay increase here so fx? Maybe? Our company is cheap and once you are in the system it is hard to get a raise unless it is a legit promotion. I'm keeping an open mind, I won't be upset if I don't get an offer and if I get an offer I'm not sure I'll take it. Right now my boss eats crackers for me, but outside of busy season (late spring to early fall) I have a TON of free time on my hands. I work from home so that means I can take a nap, do laundry, clean the bathrooms, start dinner, work on crafts, wrap Christmas presents, etc. during the day. Or, just nap. Busy season can be hell, but generally speaking the slow season makes up for it. Since I would be going from a team of 6 to a team of 1 I'm concerned that it will be busy season year around and no one to share the workload with.

The baby slept like crap again with wanting to eat and decided 3:3” was play time. He’s also cutting it looks like 4 teeth though (none of which are his top teeth).
Im hoping to keep my to do list for tonight light since we have a really busy rest of the week.

I realized over the weekend how few 9 month clothes we haves I’ll be hitting up garage sales for those.

aprilz81 ah, gotcha. That sounds like a rock and a hard place. I'll keep fx that its an easy decision! It's been suggested to me to take a lateral move to gain more experience and that's not necessarily seen as a bad thing.

Week 2 back at work and my boss is back from PTO as well. So this will be a fun week.
I forgot to bring my planner today though. Oops. I surprisingly don't feel super tired right now so maybe I can stay up to do some laundry and bake a little tonight. And homework too.

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a nice weekend.
I am at work and sad about it, we had such a nice weekend with DS.
On Saturday was 1 year since we did our embryo transfer. After the transfer last year we went to a favorite restaurant of ours right near the hospital, and I remember being so nervous and so worried the transfer wouldn't work, and going through so many "what if" scenarios in my head. This year, we just happened to be right back in the area on Saturday so went to the same restaurant and even sat in the same booth.
To be sitting in the same seat I was a year ago, but now holding DS, was so amazing and emotional. He was so happy and all smiles the whole weekend too!! So many feels.

pinkcat that put tears in eyes. I'm sure it was a wonderful feeling. How cool to be in the same booth and everything!

It's been suggested to me to take a lateral move to gain more experience and that's not necessarily seen as a bad thing. It wouldn't be "bad" to make a lateral move, I'm just not interested in a lateral move just for the sake of change. I'm a creature of habit though and change makes me nervous. I've never changed a job without being laid off first (that has happened twice) and I tend to stay where I am until something bad happens. DH just started a new job last week, baby at home... I'm just not sure now is the right time to add more upheaval to the mix, but I'm going to keep an open mind.

Today is the baby’s first full day of daycare. So crazy that he is already over 4 months. I’m so nervous. Mostly because it’s extremely rare for babies under 12 months to be at daycare in Ontario. I keep telling myself that there are 3 adults in the room and they can handle it.

DS1 is hanging with the inlaws today and DS2 is at daycare. Tomorrow I'm off so they will both be home. DH is having hernia surgery on Thursday so should be an interesting week.

Hi! We have had a busy day. We went for the baby’s final head measurements for his helmet. Then we went to the library for toddler time. After that we went to lunch with MH. Now we are home. I’m hoping the baby takes another little nap while G is watching Tangled. I need a little break. I have work tonight.

I still need to catch up from the weekend. We pretty much worked on the house all weekend and should be close to being able to list it later this week. And we got a draft of the contract from the builder so we are reviewing the allowances that he laid out to make sure that they will work.
DD1 has her speech re-evaluation today at 5. She hasn't seen her speech teacher since starting daycare 2 months ago because of some specific background check that our daycare wanted her to get. I guess it was different than the one she already had for other kids. Anyway, they think that she will be done with speech base on the evaluation but we will see.
I also went to BRU this weekend and got 2 toddler rails and this awesome stroller that folds up so you can carry it like a bag. And it fits an infant car seat without an adapter. I need to look at what kind it is when I get home tonight. It will definitely fit in an overhead on a flight so it's going to be really helpful on thursday.

pinkcat, how special!!! So happy for your family. T+P for DS1 appreciated. He just went into surgery. It’s been a hellish day as they were 3.5 hours delayed so we’ve been entertaining him in a pre-op room that whole time. He hasn’t had any food or milk since 7am and of course no nap. Surgery should take about 2.5 hours.

Hugs and we'll all be thinking of you tonight!

CP from J15:
Did anyone’s baby get a fever while teething? DD2 can home from daycare with a low grade fever and I’m trying to figure out if it’s teething or another ear infection. Neither of my girls pull their ears with an ear infection and I only usually notice something if off when their eyes get goopy. DD1 didn’t really go through much teething - she was droolly then had teeth so I don’t really know what’s normal. I’m hoping it’s teething and not something that will warrant a doctors visit.
