I made the hamburger bun pizzas and DS (4) ate 3 of them. I have buns! How do you make these? I'm starving.

When I win the lottery I’m getting a house with a sensory deprivation tank. I’m at sensory overload today Zen Float Tent is back on kickstarter to make an inflatable deprivation tent. Their original version starts around $2k, I think. It's not that much when you consider the price of hot tubs and exercise equipment people frequently buy for self-improvement or relaxation. I seriously want one.

Broil until cheese is bubbly. Someone suggested roasting the buns before and that was a game changer. So much better.

I haven't started one of these in ages. The boy got his first edge up and he looks 25, I wasn't ready. Who's watching basketball with me tonight? I saw that photo and thought he looked 5. It's a good look for him, but he looks grown.

I kind of was rude to the sitter/nanny but today. She is a good kid but sometimes the immaturity is insane. I did bathe the kids and get them 99% of the way ready for bed so she got to watch Netflix and be paid after 15 mins of my huffy attitude so I'm sure she was ok. I can't make her a better or smarter sitter and she is available when I need someone for 1-2 hours when I couldn't get someone else so I'm stuck with her.

Is this just actual buns on a pizza instead of crust? Yes, hamburger buns with pizza sauce and shredded mozzarella and thrown in the oven. Easy peasy. I've never had it on hamburger buns, but I have had it on hot dog buns. That was also garlic bread growing up. I enjoy English muffins and bagels so often have them on hand to make "pizza" but I will keep hamburger buns in mind too.

Ive done it with bagels, but didn't think to use up burger buns before. Anything with cheese, sauce & bread will make me happy after midnight.

Laundry’s done for the day. I can’t get burned on crap off of my baking sheet. I’ve tried dish soap, then soaking in baking soda, then scrubbing with coarse salt. Make a baking soda vinegar paste & let it sit. I usually scrape it off with a razor under hot running water though if I forget to use parchment or foil.

What did the sitter do & how old is she Jesslfar? I'm just nosy since DD used to babysit a lot in her teens.

She just shows up late and does weird things like instead of pouring boiling water into oatmeal at the counter does it at the table a few inches from the 3 and 5 year old and I have to remind her that's not ok. Mostly it is that she she comes an hour late 1 to 2 times a week, today was 3 hours later than we agreed upon but she did notify me 2 hours in advance.

Oh wow, that's not ok Jesslfar. The tardiness would beyond irritate me. And pouring boiling water right next to kids would have me seeing red. Those things are not immaturity. It's plain rude & dangerous. I don't blame you for being pissy with her. I wouldn't have been as nice. How close are you to me? DD is an awesome & safe sitter. Care.com or is there a college near you? I know people IRL that have gotten sitter through our local college. The students are education majors.

Jesslfar the water thing might seem like common sense but some teens/young adults just don't think about stuff like that. I'd just mention "hey, that might splash the kids, why don't you prep it over there" But the lateness would kill me. I was so so careful to be punctual when I babysat. It sucks that she's your only option sometimes.
