We have mice. One chewed through my Louis Vuitton. Burn everything, right? I mean. Definitely find the one that chewed through your Louis Vuitton and burn that mofo. What a jerk.

It's been cloudy & breezy & kind of cool outside. WTF mother nature! I just want in the pool for a couple hours! Bright side tho, I'm almost done with laundry & the kids are 90% packed

When did lunchables become so expensive? I was going to get one for Ds1 today but I can make one cheaper.
Plus all the store had left was bologna and nugget ones.

I am just going to do a sandwich. For 50 cents more the school would pack his lunch. He probably will hate it anyway.

I can totally see it being cheaper to make your own.
I’ll make him a cream cheese sandwich like he asked.

Hello. I’m sitting in the Charleston airport waiting for my flight home. It was a long weekend and I’m exhausted. It all went well though so I’ll call it a success.

My kid won’t eat lunchables. I don’t blame him.

It's crazy how tiring just doing basic chores is. My butt is now in bed watching tv.

Our friends are an hour late 😕
It looks like rain and I was really hoping we could get some time outside before that happens

I’m on my second beer. I agreed to help work on SO’s motorcycle in a few because I’m insane.
Then we are going swimming.
Can you tell it’s hot here? So much swimming.

We are finally getting things done at home. This has been the longest we have been home from the hospital and our house was getting completely neglected and cluttered. I mean the major stuff was always done and we out sourced a cleaning service but we never had a chance to fix minor things or declutter anything.
DD and I were always in the hospital during the week and DH came for the weekend so there was no time. Now we are playing catch-up since December. Last weekend DH organized the garage. This weekend he is working on the basement. DD and I have been working on her room and the playroom-slowly because we both need frequent breaks.
It is just SUCH a good feeling. I mean we have a long way to go. But it is getting there. Hopefully at least 75% is done before the baby is born. With this going on and outsourcing the backyard some what I can’t wait for everything to look decent again.

Day one on our mother son trip back in my home town
So far it’s been rough. DS is having legit anxiety over my BFFs dog, and woke up this morning all congested and with an upset stomach which I think was a combo of nerves plus the congestion. Got a humidifier, mucus meds and nausea meds at the store and he seems to be better
I really hope he gets past this otherwise this is going to be ... not a great vacation.
I’m kind of wishing I just came alone. Sigh. And also feel like a jerk because of that

We are having the opposite problem. It is only 66 degrees, windy, and overcast. We took the girls to this amazing children's garden and had to leave after an hour because we were freezing.

The rain here is never ending, and now my basement is flooding because it’s coming down so fast and there is so much of it that the water has no pace to go. My sump pump is working just fine - the water is eeeping in through the floor in the basement. I hate homeownership. And rain.

I plan to spend as little time as possible outside until I'm no longer pregnant. Unless a pool is involved.

We took the kids to the playground. It's so windy and chilly out. It's kind of a welcome relief though. It was so humid and gross all week. I'm making steak fajitas in a bit. Kids will have an early bed time since neither napped today.

I survived lunch with the ILs, Costco and the grocery store. I was hoping to go to Buy, Buy baby, but I ended up with a nasty headache. So I'm hanging out on the couch while H and DD play with her science kit. Thinking a hot shower will help my headache

Such a perfect day here! Blue skies, slight breeze and no humidity. Yesterday was mid 80s but sooooo humid. We've been outside since swim hoping they are wrong about rain for the next 3 days.
Today was second to last swim lesson and the teacher pulled us aside at the end. She's suggesting DS1 move up to the next grouping which is 6yrs+. DS1 is 4.5 yrs old. She said it wouldn't be fair to him to keep repeating this level because of age. He's only been taking lessons since November and is the only one that jumps off the swim platforms and diving boards. The last 2 weeks he's swam the length of the pool without stopping. He told me today that he never gives up 😂. Maybe he's the future Michael Phelps haha.

I've been sick the last couple of days with GI issues and exhaustion. Then this morning in the shower I found a deer tick on the back of my knee while I was shaving my legs. I went to urgent care and got prescriptions for doxycycline and zofran.
Then I came home and my laptop crashed. H felt bad and bought me a new computer.
It's a zero-sum kinda day.

I took my oldest DD to get her ears pierced. She was super excited. We were hanging out at my parents when I got a text reminding me about her Girl Scout bridging ceremony. I had completely forgotten and we had exactly enough time to get there. We made it just in time. After the ceremony we are going to go out for my nephew’s birthday.

My first turned three today. I’m not sure where the last two years went. The first year was long as fuck since I was awake with him for 75% of it. He’s such a little boy now, not a toddler.
I’m drinking my coffee in peace as the birthday boy is on the iPad and the baby is having an early morning kip.

It is Sunday. I unexpectedly had 2 of my cousins over this morning who I hadn’t seen in years. Then took a 2 hr nap.
@spiff I’m sorry your boy isn’t feeling well. I hope he turns it around.

I hope you feel better soon hawkward. Is it possible your gi issues are related to the tick? When we found one on DS last week the walk in told us he could have stomach flu like symptoms with Lyme.

The FNP thought it was all related. I feel considerably better this evening and I haven’t even started the doxycycline yet.
