Hey ladies! Please spam me with your LOs favorite toys for 1 year olds and up. Looking to get some things at Toys R Us, our local store closes at the end of the month. My ds doesn’t turn 1 until August.
TIA!

Omg and I was like 1 in august, that's coming up, thinking of some summer things.
THEN I REALIZED THAT DS2 IS GOING TO BE 1 IN SEPTEMBER.

Holy moly.
Anyway, I was just actually watching videos of DS1 when he was 1 to 16 months over 2013 summer. They're all of him with sidewalk chalk and his baby pool so maybe some things to consider too depending on your outdoor situation.
And balls for the baby pool. Oh, and a sandbox.

A push and ride toy. DS1 got a Thomas one for his first birthday and he still uses it every day and he's almost 3.
Play piano, stacking blocks, DS2 loves to push cars/trains, a tunnel, play tent.
But truthfully their favorite thing to do is climb all over me like a jungle gym. It's totally my fave *eye twitch*

I have a brand new 1 YO but here are some things he likes right now. Some of these he has liked for a little while though.
- Melissa & Doug hide & seek farm thing - wagon/walker (he doesn't use it as a walker but he likes to put stuff in and out of it and ride in it) - blocks - balls (he just got these spiky bouncy balls that are easy to grab) - pull-along toy - WheelyBUG (he just got this and he doesn't really know how to ride it quite yet)
When we were at the IL's he loved playing with the tea set so I think I'm going to get him one.

Get a train table and stash it until Christmas (they get able to use them closer to 18 months). Ours had it for a really good price along with whatever wooden trains they had remaining

DD really enjoys sorting things, and taking things in and out of containers. She's got the IKEA play kitchen, and at 15 months she's maybe really pretend playing with it. She'll rub her hands under the faucet in the sink, put pans on the stove burners, stuff like that. But she still enjoys putting things in the cupboards, taking them back out, and on and on. She also has a ball pit from my brother - she likes to throw balls at us, and put them back, climb in and out herself, etc. These are the things she plays with most days: Bead maze toySorting/stacking toyCell phone (it's quiet)She also has fun with her water table - we set it up around her birthday, but she would've enjoyed it sooner had it been warm enough. The one we have is overkill in terms of size but I wanted the umbrella. Water tableShe looooves books that make noise, and touch-and-feel books. These are few favorites: I Love MusicNoisy FarmPolar Bear, Polar Bear

DDs real favorite toy was this remote. It was tragically taken home by another child after a weekend trip. We're all mourning the loss. /sarcasm Evil remote (a gift from Grandma, of course)And her true favorite toys/activities are playing in the dog's water bowl and the removable shelves from our cabinets.

What I really want is a cell phone toy that doesn't make any noise at all. Bonus points if it's made of wood.

I also found this which is adorable for when they're a little older, but I think I can ask my H to make one.

I bought her a basic one (without the little circular stamp things that she could swallow) and of course she doesn't really care for it. Oh well.

DD loves her wooden activity cube. She used to play with it standing up, but now she understands you can get on top of items. So it’s like a whole new toy.

Can anyone recommend good toys to bring with you when you are out and about? Bonus points if it can be suctioned cupped to a surface or tethered (otherwise it'll get thrown onto the floor in less than 2 minutes). I was looking at pipSquigz.
