Hey... At 3mo what are bf babies eating? Liv seems to be taking 3- 3oz bottles. So a full ounce is being wasted bc I send 4. I obv want to conserve bm. Is that even enough? We nurse morning, bedtime and 3x overnight. That just seems on the low end. DS2 is 2 weeks older than liv and is taking 3- 4 oz bottles during the day and nurses at least 3 if not 4 times a day. We’ve been at 4 ounce bottles for a while since he struggled to get back to birth weight for so long. |

I feed once when we get home and once before bed. I will say though liv is gaining weight much better then Henry. We just hit 12 lbs yesterday. |

She had been doing 3-4 ounces and then went down to 2 ounces for a few weeks. Now at 4 months she is back up to 4 ounces every 2 1/2 to 3 hours. I would pack 3 oz bottles but pack a fourth one in case she is hungry and needs more. |

sunfrogger, so in total she is nursing/eating 8 times a day? Because that number itself doesn’t seem too little. Arden only nurses 5-6 times a day (which again, on the low end and not properly gaining weight 🙄) but she sleeps all night most of the time. So I think your babe is just eating at different times?

Yea. I mean I'll get her gain in a month at her next appt but I'm ready to move her into size 3 diapers so I know she's gaining and growing. She looks like she's about ready to roll belly to back too. I guess I'm just SO thrown for a loop. My dd1 wanted so much milk and I was pumping 18-20 Oz a day for her... And I'm not with O!!!!! So crazy

sunfrogger my only thought is that she prefers to get her milk from the source and is eating more when you nurse vs the bottle, but I’ve only exclusively nursed so I have nothing to go off of. 🤷🏼♀️

I went down to nurse her at lunch so I'll be interested how much of the morning and afternoon bottles she takes! |

So crazy Ok I posted too soon haha, this does sound a lot like DS. He doesn’t eat as often (5-6x total per day, including once overnight) but he just rolled a few weeks ago & is in size 3 diapers too. So it sounds to me she is doing great, if she’s gaining & meeting milestones I wouldn’t worry about her bottle size. 3oz is still normal bottle size! |

For those who are doing/have done dream feeds... When did you stop and why?
Now that we seem to be done with the four month sleep regression she is back to 0-1 wake ups most nights. I don't know if the dream feed is helping with that or if it is just giving her some extra calories.

I don't know if the dream feed is helping with that or if it is just giving her some extra calories. With DD I did one until 9mo or so. She would sleep 8-6 (with dreamfeed at 10pm) and I was afraid if I stopped the dreamfeed she’d stop sleeping in haha. It worked for her so I just KOKO. With DS, I dropped it last week. It had helped for awhile but then he started waking up fussing bc he soaked his diaper (due to the extra feeding) and wouldn’t settle without nursing...& then what had been one wakeup turned into 2-3...like 10pm dreamfeed, up again at 1, up again at 4, up at 7. So I just quit one night to see what would happen & he slept from 8-3. Some nights it’s 8-2 or others it’s 8-4. And then we’re up every day at 7. So to answer your question...I kept going with DD because it was working, and quit with DS because it stopped working. I’d try & see what happens if you’re wondering about it. Personally I like knowing how long he can actually sleep, & knowing that as he grows that 3am wakeup will get closer & closer to the 7am wakeup. And then he’s actually sleeping the entire night. |

I would say as long as she's gaining weight she's good! She may start eating more soon. You could always send frozen milk and send her with 3oz bottles. That way if she ran out they would give her frozen milk. That's what we do. |

I’m having such a hard time getting a schedule going with DS2 and it’s testing my patience. I feel like I’m exhausted from nursing all night or not keeping up with his needs during the day.
