For me, instagram is like tier 1 in my social media.
I am actually kind of annoyed by the whole thing because for one no one was asked to post their IG information. It was all voluntary.
I believe everyone to be over 18 and consenting.
And then...the real kicker for me has been I have had many people encourage me to get more involved with sm in regards to my planning and other stuff I am into. You tell me this and in the same breath critique the IG thread.
Also for the records info I would like it known that the thread I created was not for people to post their IG info. It was because I had a lot of requests to be followed and I just feel like if I approve it then I should follow back.
Now if anyone does not want to be linked on SM you are free to unfollow and there will be no hurt feelings on my end.
I still for the life of me don't see what's so personal with IG. It's posts of pics. You choose what you post.

I think you can connect with people here or any forum and protect your real life privacy with some effort, if that is important to you. I do get the temptation to overlap the two worlds, but even then I think you can do it in a limited way as your comfort level allows. I really don't think that it has to be all or nothing. As for the IG thread and ripper 's comment, maybe she was actually compiling a spreadsheet, maybe she wasn't, but I do think she was making a good point that anyone could have been doing that. You are putting that information out there. There are people here you like, there are people you don't care about, there are people you don't like, and there are people you don't even know about. We had a troll in the past that no one ever found out who it was that had been compiling pictures that people had posted of themselves or their kids and any personal info she or he could get and created a thread and starting posting them each one by one.
So...we have seen this happen before. Whenever you post anything online on any platform it can be saved or compiled or whatever.

I think you can connect with people here or any forum and protect your real life privacy with some effort, if that is important to you. In my mind they are not mutually exclusive. My annoyance with how these AEs came here does not obscure how I feel about what Ripper did. I don’t like either. Ripper did what Dipper did AND I also see that these people from GBCN didn’t come here because of altruistic intentions. They waited almost year and then came under AEs at a ripe time to start drama. They are also here to hurt us. Nobody came here to hurt you. Blow up boobys spot and laugh....sure. Let you know who you are dealing with...absolutely. But to hurt you...that’s a little dramatic. You did not come over here with some concern for our well being. I was told directly we don't give a fuck about you all we don't like her.
So post where you want but we can eliminate the bullshit.

My neighbors knew what we paid for our house. They kept commenting on how lucky we were. At least pretend like you didn’t look up my house value and what we paid.

Regarding AEs: the vast majority of people on gbcn think booby sent the bag of dicks or at least had something to do with it. Do you think people are jumping up to come at her with their “real sn”? Believe what you want about her but as someone posted she lied about who she was, scrubbed most of the evidence and now is asking you to take her at her word. Ok, have fun with that. And to whoever is still looking for the smoking gun, you won’t find it. Most of boobys comments were super slick and on there face, not worth quoting. You had to read them and read the rest of the thread to put it all together. Too bad most of her comments are gone. She clearly still has people who don’t mind her here. That’s fine. Rock on. Why not confront her with your original SN? If you know she did you dirty why not? I would.

Ok let's go there. If people were offended and addressed it, their posts are still there right? Their issue with it would still be there? Their posts like, "look booby you bitch fuck you and fuck off" would still be there right? Those posts would still be searchable and would still be there.
Let's go ahead and say her offenses are gone from that thread. There are more posters in that thread stating they don't believe she is a racist than there is anyone saying she is. There was no consensus or collective group as the story that's being told is saying now.
Also let's go ahead and say she is a racist, y'all don't ban racists. Aren't you glad she seemed to have left your forum? Aren't you glad that negativity has left your space? I know I would be. I would be moving forward and living my best life. I sure as hell wouldn't be following a racist around the internet. That's just me.
