How old is your LO: 2 months yesterday, 9 weeks tomorrow.
Appointments: 2 month checkup next week, first shots.
Milestones: She’s been in a lot of 6 month size clothes for a bit, I love her chunkiness.
Rants/Raves/Vents: Shes been chewing her hands like a maniac and had a lot of drooly spit up lately. It’s too early for teeth but she’s acting like a teething baby much to my chagrin.
GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate?
I hate car seats. Things are easy now but I’m dreading the winter already. Taking off their coats and transporting them as fast as you can is the worst.

How old is your LO: 7 weeks
Appointments: Next Friday
Milestones: We had to move to 3month sleepers because of her huge feet.
Rants/Raves/Vents: She goes from 0-60 when she's hungry. One second she's fine, next second she's losing her mind.
GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate? I hate making decisions for them. It's so much pressure.
I actually like bath time. Both girls like it so it's an easy way to kill some time.

How old is your LO: 12 weeks tomorrow
Appointments: weight check next Friday
Milestones: he rolled from belly to back yesterday!
Rants/Raves/Vents: Last day of leave, see my pity post in randoms. I know he’ll be in the same building with me, but I still wish I could just be home with him.
GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate? I hate washing my pump parts. I don’t mind clipping baby fingernails, but it seems like a lot of parents hate it.
I just can’t with the cuteness. Poof

+1 to all the decision making pressure cornpop. I am not great at making big decisions in general, but I’ve struggled with even the smallest of decisions with L.

How old is your LO: 10 weeks Appointments: nothing anytime soon Milestones: she seems a lot more interested in everything around her now...more eye contact and smiles. it’s always funny when i start worrying about stuff like that she starts doing it like the next day. like a switch gets flipped or something Rants/Raves/Vents: so sick of dealing with sick kids! i’m hoping to have a few weeks without runny noses - but i did get a possible croup and strep exposure notice from daycare so i guess i’m just waiting for that. GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate. i can’t think of anything in particular. the decision making is overwhelming and getting out the door sometimes with both kids is overwhelming too. i guess i just can’t think too much about any of it.

How old is your LO: 7 weeks Appointments: next week Milestones: she's starting to work on laughing Rants/Raves/Vents: she's awesome. DS is still adjusting I think? His behavior has been a disaster lately and I'm frustrated and sad. I miss my little boy. GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate? MOTN wake ups obviously. Hate those. I don't mind much else though. I really enjoy giving both of my kids baths. Everyone else seems to hate that but it's always been nice wind down time for us.

How old is your LO: 7.5 weeks
Appointments: next week for her first shots. DS has an appointment at the same time so I feel like I might be crazy takig them both by myself
Milestones: She has rolled over a few times
Rants/Raves/Vents: She's waking to eat every 2 hours and that wouldn't even be too bad but I have to hold her upright and burp her after every feed so she doesn't spit up everywhere. I'm really only sleeping in hour long increments and my brain is fried. I'm starting to really resent SO because some how I have also ended up dealing with DS' motn wake ups.
And all of her hair is falling out. Just on top though so she looks like my grandpa.
GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate?
+1 to making the hard decisions. And being the family scheduler and figuring out literally everything.

How old is your LO: 3 weeks
Appointments: two days ago. She grew two inches in less than two weeks. Explains all the eating!
Milestones: I’m too tired to come up with anything.
Rants/Raves/Vents: MH wouldn’t spend money on newborn pictures so I tried to diy. I got exactly 3 useable ones and 4 hilarious ones of her screaming.
GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate? Least fave, feeding. I dislike being the milk truck. I don’t mind diapers at all.

How old is your LO: 10 weeks Appointments: will go for a 3 month in a few weeks. Milestones: can’t think of any Rants/Raves/Vents: she’s been “talking” a lot more lately and it’s fun hearing some of the noises she lets out. She actually had a long nap that wasn’t in my arms yesterday, (until I had to put her into her car seat to go to a meeting). GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate? I love that I’m able to breastfeed this time, but I hate that my body is no longer my own.

How old is your LO: 5 weeks today!
Appointments: he had one on Monday- he’s up to 8lb 9oz!
Milestones: turning 1 month old!
Rants/Raves/Vents: we’ve just started to nurse without the shield so feedings are taking longer and he latches and unlatches a thousand times🤦🏼♀️ I can’t wait for the “easy” part of nursing to kick in.
GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate? Washing pump parts/bottles.

I'm aliiiiiiiiive How old is your LO: 2 months on Thursday Appointments: Friday for 2m and shots Milestones: she feels up everything Rants/Raves/Vents: I don't know if I can go back to work. I'm getting really antsy about it and I feel like I'd regret not staying home for the rest of my life. I don't get this time back and I don't know if I'll ever get the chance to have this time with another kid. Just lots of feels. GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate? least favorite is probably bathing, but only because my knees are garbage or maybe getting her down to sleep. I love diapers, feeding, and laundry surprisingly.

How old is your LO: 10 weeks
Appointments: had his 2 month last week, we don’t go back until 4 months
Milestones: none that I can think of
Rants/Raves/Vents: I just want consistency. We finally got him feeling better during the day and now his nights are a mess again. I am hoping it’s a growth spurt because he is so hungry all of the time.
GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate? I hate pumping and cleaning parts with a passion. I also hate MOTN feedings. I don’t mind diapers.
DS1 loves his little brother so much. Poof.

How old is your LO: 8 weeks, two months on Saturday Appointments: two month appt tomorrow Milestones: officially out of newborn sleepers Rants/Raves/Vents: her little personality is coming out more and it is so cute with her talking and smiling more. She lights up when she sees her sister and it is the cutest thing. GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate? With D1, I loathe doctor's appointments. Mostly because she is terrified and it is always so difficult. With the baby, I'm so happy that breastfeeding is going so well this time around, but I would love to have a day where I'm not needed every two hours. I actually enjoy bathtime with both girls. The baby loves it and she is so calm afterwards. I also don't mind clipping nails. Mh is terrified to do it and I know a lot of people hate it.

How old is your LO: 6 weeks
Appointments: June 4th for his 2 month checkup and shots
Milestones: He is trying to figure out how to smile. Can’t wait for him to do it more often so I can get a picture of it.
Rants/Raves/Vents: I’m kinda proud of myself for finally getting his birth announcements in the mail. I also included DDs preschool pictures that I just got.
GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate? It’s a toss up between changing his diaper and washing bottles. He throws such a fit when we change his diaper, that you would think I was hurting him.

I'm sad I'm getting to this late and missed so many poofed pictures! How old is your LO: 7 weeks tomorrow Appointments: none till his 2-month checkup in a couple weeks Milestones: starting to coo a lot more. Also officially out of anything newborn-sized, and I think he's going to blitz through 3-month clothes in a hot second Rants/Raves/Vents: Please don't hate me, but I'm just so grateful that this baby has been a dream. DS1 was so, so, so hard, and I know this baby is probably going to flip a switch and be harder any second, but I'm just appreciating each day and that he isn't like DS who, if he was awake he was crying. GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate? I hate making naptime happen, especially with the toddler. I actually enjoy nursing and I'm thankful it's working out. Rama Chunky baby twins! Thinking of you and the decision about work. That’s a really hard one, and you’re a good mom whatever you decide ❤️

How old is your LO: 2 weeks yesterday. Appointments: she had a weight check this morning. She gained half an ounce over the last week (1.5 ounces over birth weight total), but grew a full inch. We have another weight check next week. Milestones: I’ve been able to sleep on my side. That feels like a milestone after nearly two weeks of crappy back only, slightly elevated sleep. Rants/Raves/Vents: none I can think of. GTKY: I really hate diapers. I think kid laundry is fun. Proud big siblings. That exclusive pump life with a babe that doesn’t like to be put down. Ignore the screaming baby. I got her right after I took this. But her furry big sister takes her watch dog status seriously.

Rama going back to work is HARD. After my first I cried and cried and didn’t think I could do it. After awhile I realized both myself and kids craved the structure and routine that came along with me working. ((Hugs))

How old is your LO: 4 weeks
Appointments: Pediatrician next Friday, then 6 wk checkup w midwives the week after
Milestones: better tracking
Rants/Raves/Vents: I’ve cut out dairy and soy from my diet bc I suspect I have another MSPI baby, but I’m second-guessing myself about her symptoms (mucousy, frequent poops, spit up, grunting/discomfort). The diet is so hard I just wish I had a more definitive indication that my sacrifice is helping her.
GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate?
I despise meal planning. My oldest only wants a rotation of three meals (pizza, tacos, pasta) and nobody in my family seems to have any interest in offering meal ideas. I like to cook, but it is so frustrating to prepare a nice (delicious!) meal only to have the kids refuse to eat it.

How old is your LO: 2m9d
Appointments: Not for awhile
Milestones: starting to coo and more big smiles
Rants/Raves/Vents: He had the best night so far last night, and it was amazing! He slept 5hr-1hr-4hr
GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate? I hate giving baths, hate it.

Rama going back to work is HARD. After my first I cried and cried and didn’t think I could do it. After awhile I realized both myself and kids craved the structure and routine that came along with me working. ((Hugs)) I think this is part of my problem, I hate the structure of work. I've always been a roll with it person that can change directions as needed. Having to go to work has always made me feel trapped, whereas making my own schedule and plans makes me feel like I have control over my life. :/ But it's probably the best choice to go back to work, financially. Not much for my income (most of it is eaten up by daycare), but for my benefits/insurance. If we lose my income AND insurance, that's where we're not sure it's going to work out. I also would like to get vested in my retirement (which would be May 2019, so about a year), but that's less important to me than staying with Lyra. Basically, I wish I even wanted to go back. That'd make everything so much more doable. I worked so hard for this baby, now I have to spend my time away from her (her being taken care of by other people isn't a factor for me, I know they'd do great with her) and it's really getting under my skin. As hard as it is, I'd choose to stay home with her every single time over going back to work if the employer benefits were erased.

Rama I’m sorry if I’m overstepping, and I’m guessing it’s already crossed your mind, but is it feasible for your DH to look for another job that would provide insurance/benefits? Alternatively, is your field/career the kind that you could step out of for 1-2 years and come back to, so you’d just have to make it work financially more short-term? I’m sorry friend. That’s a really hard position to be in, and an emotional one too.

How old is your LO: 1 month!
Appointments: 1 month - up to 9lb 10oz
Milestones: she gained 13 ounces in a week! This is amazing for me because my other BF babies were slow gainers. Also, she’s starting to smile
Rants/Raves/Vents: unicorn baby slept from 9:30-4:15 Tuesday into Wednesay. I didn’t bc I was waking to check on her....we talked about how she needs to give me a heads up in th future lol
GTKY:. What is your least favorite parenting chore? Is there any you like that most people hate:
I don’t mind any of the baby stuff. I absolutely LOATHE homework time with my oldest. And Bedtime with the threenager. I also HATE unloading the dishwasher, and putting laundry away.

I absolutely LOATHE homework time with my oldest. And Bedtime with the threenager. It’s the math, right? Why isn’t it as simple as 2+2=4 anymore? And OMG. The threenager. I love her so much, until bedtime. Then I don’t like her at all basically.
