Y’all idk what to do. DS is almost too long for the Pack n play and the crib is in DD’s room. We didn’t think he would get this big so quick which is why we moved he crib to her room, we figured by the time he grew out of the PNP they would be ready to share a room. 😭😭😭

tiffbabey you pretty much described how I’m feeling to a t. H and I have been arguing a ton because of it. I start back to work on Wednesday and have my annual schedule for 5/29. I’ve given myself a deadline of that appointment to see if I feel better after getting a routine at work. Maybe setting a deadline or deal breaker for yourself to see if you feel better before talking to someone might help?

I’m having a really hard time keeping up over here these days. We had our four month well check this morning too. Baby is only 11lbs 7oz and 23.75 in. She’s dropping further and further on the growth charts (4th in weight at the moment) so we have to go back in a month for a weight check. She still spits up so much with no apparent cause. She’s generally content, sleeps well, etc, so maybe she’s just destined to be small. Her eczema stuff has been really bad still as well. The doctor doesn’t think it’s at all food related, but I’m going to try cutting soy and eggs (on top of dairy) to see if it makes any difference. Thus far she is still refusing the bottle, but i think we’re going to have to push it in case we need to supplement. She also just had a bright green poo diaper. Foremilk/hindmilk imbalance or is this all related? What am I doing wrong?!?!

Hi! I’m here. I worked all day. I’m exhausted. My stepmom watch the kiddos for me. MH ordered pizza for us and it should be here in about a half hour.

ajetter I’m suspecting we’re going to be in the same boat with DS2 as far as size goes. He can still fit in newborn clothes at three months. He was spitting up/vomiting a bunch a few weeks ago. We were going through like 4 outfits a day and it always looked like something was curdled. I cut eggs out of my diet (minus maybe in a baked good) and were just getting small amounts of spit up now. I tried French toast yesterday and we had a ton of spit up again.

We had the 4 month check up today. DS is 15lbs 4oz. , 25.5 inches and his head is in the 93rd percentile lolol. DS1 had a huge head too.
Lately I've been wanting to transition baby out of the RnP for bedtime sleep since he's getting bigger but I worry about his reflux/spitting up if he's flat in either the halo or his crib. Have any of you done a wedge? Did it help? I'm also thinking about transitioning him out of the swaddle at night. Too many changes!! I don't know which to start with.

dragonflyinn I wouldn't stress about him being too big for the PNP unless it's effecting his sleep. My DD is almost 3,37" and 36 lbs and she happily sleeps in the PNP at grammies for a week or more at a time. It doesn't look comfy and she has to lay diagonally, but she pitched a fit when we tried a blow up toddler bed so PNP for life apparently. amesie we have a water wrap - I think it's this one: wrapsodybaby.com/product-category/baby-carrier/wrapduo/I liked it with DD. I believe it has spf in it which is great for little pre sunblock babies.

I'm not sure what is so "magical" about 6 months, but that is the age they say it is safe.

yellow711 and aprilz81, I think it's related to babies having sensitive skin. They really want us to keep babies out of the sun altogether, but I remember reading that sunblock is preferable to sunburn if the sun is unavoidable at any age. So it's more of a guideline to make us avoid the sun. I am trying to remember from my DD - is 6 months when babies can wear sunblock/sunscreen? Yes, I just read that this weekend. Yea. It's about their skin sensitivity. But you obviously can't stay in a bubble in warm weather esp with our olders! I wear O, and she gets a sun hat when we're out, and I sunblock her legs in my Lille.

Hi! I'm 2 mo behind yall but that's why I cut my hair - in anticipation of losing it all!
My H surprised me with a mini vacation for Mothers Day. We're out in Lancaster at a little inn with mini golf. He did good - I'm not easy to surprise!!!
2 weeks left of mat leave.... This time in 2 weeks I'll be back at work. I'm struggling with it that's for sure.

sweetsurprise, I currently have a wedge under DD2’s crib mattress right now to help with her congestion. I love it because it helps so much with her staying on an incline and to help her sinus drainage. I don’t love it because she moves so much. Last night, she moved so much out of the camera view that I panicked when I didn’t see her. She just shimmied all the way down to the bottom of the crib. I haven’t used the wedge for any other reason besides having sick babies, but they are cheap. Or, you could always put some towels under the mattress to prop it up a bit to see if it works and then maybe get a wedge.

tiffbabey, I am going through something similar with DD1. She is 4 and listens well for the most part. But I lost my shit the other day because DD2 was crying and completely inconsolable and then DD1 was mad and throwing a fit because I wouldn’t let her eat a candy bar or some stupid shit. I yelled at her. And then immediately felt awful. I try so hard to keep my cool around her, but she tests me. ALOT. So I just make sure her and I have some one on one time, usually around bedtime to talk about the day and to talk about how to be better at communicating. It’s working and she’s not lashing out as much as she used to. Just know you’re not alone in any of this. Momming ain’t easy. Take it one day at a time. You’re doing a great job!

ajetter, did she get vaccinations? Those always give my friend's kids green poo! So the confession here would be that the first green diaper came between the doctor leaving the room and her getting her vaccinations. But I felt weird about asking the nurse to look at the diaper and didn’t want to have the doctor come back in. She had a couple more green diapers yesterday. One normal one this morning, and one slightly green one. Just going to keep an eye on it I guess.

I'm off today and it is wonderful. It is just me and V, b/c DS went to day care like normal. We went to doc for my IUD follow up appt and also to the car dealership to get my car serviced. We went out for a run and I've been able to wash/change sheets and do some other laundry, mop the floor, go to Target, etc. I really really really miss being on maternity leave. I'm off for the next couple of Tuesdays too so that gives me something to look forward to!
