Good morning!
We are up and have had breakfast. I am now drinking iced coffee. G is watching Toy Story and the baby is napping in the pnp. I love when my babies are so peaceful.
I have to work tonight which I am not looking forward to.

Today is my first day back at work and I am sooooo sad.  I am not ready to leave DS all day!! We are gone from 7:20 to 6:00 so it feels like such a long time...I miss my little man already. |

Good morning! Very busy work week. It’s draining me!
DS2 fell last night and needed stitches. It was our first ER/Stitches incident and I felt so bad for him. He did really good and now thinks the hospital is where you go to get popsicles!

Today is my first day back at work and I am sooooo sad. I am not ready to leave DS all day!! We are gone from 7:20 to 6:00 so it feels like such a long time...I miss my little man already. Hugs. Just take it day by day. When I’m in these situations I always think of the millions of moms around the world doing it too and making it work. We are here for you! |

He did really good and now thinks the hospital is where you go to get popsicles! I’m glad he is was ok but I am LOL about the popsicles. Sounds like kid logic. |

Also, for those of you that pump, how did you go about starting once you were back to work? DS eats at home sometimes every 2 hours or more, but that is not sustainable for pumping at work. If I pump every 3 to 4 hours at work, on the days that I am home with him, will I still make enough to keep up with him? I'm so nervous about this! I want to be able to keep breastfeeding on weekends and on Wednesdays (the day I'll work from home).

I want to be able to keep breastfeeding on weekends and on Wednesdays (the day I'll work from home). Feed as close to before you leave in the AM and when you get home at night. Pump every 3 hours. You will still be able to nurse Wed and weekends! Having that Wed WFH day will really help. It was hard for me to foresee how it would all Work but after a week it will make sense. Buy extra sets of pump parts! This is a personal decision but something I’m doing differently this time is not stressing if I don’t cover all the milk. If I need to supplement with a bottle a day when I’m gone so be it. With DS1 and 2 I pumped 1-2 times a day extra to make up for the difference. Not doing that this time and I feel great about it! |

Hi all!
O slept from 730-8 this morning with.. 3 wake ups? Adjusting her bed time is going well so I'm working on moving it all back to 645-7 by the time I go back to work.
I just made the big and I breakfast. I'm putting O down for her first nap, and then I'm going to craft a little with the big.
My breast pump bag came! I'm in love. It has a laptop sleeve, dedicated pockets for the pump and a milk cooler, and tons more space. Yay!
This afternoon we have a little adventure planned and I'm pretty excited.

rebeccabunch Thank you! This makes me feel much better. The extra set of parts is a great idea, I need to order that. I will do every 3 hours today! I am supplementing with formula as well- we started giving him 1 bottle of formula at night a few weeks ago to get him used to it, and because he seemed to want more food than I could give him sometimes. I'm hoping that I can make enough breastmilk to get him through with every other bottle at least.

I took a vacation day today and we will be heading down to my parents in early afternoon. I'm working one one last craft that I want to finish up to give to Mom to give to the recipient (a belated wedding present for the son of her best friend). Then I just need to pack... I packed all but the last minute stuff for Faith earlier in the week so it shouldn't take too long.

Happy Friday! It’s raining here today and I’m overall in just a blah mood. Everyone at work is in a terrible mood which doesn’t help. MH is home with both kids by himself all day today. 🤞🏻 there are no casualties and the house stays clean. He is also taking DD1 to see the doc. I thought she had allergies, but she keeps complaining about her throat and her cough is awful. Then, DD2 woke up with a stuffy nose this morning so IDK. Everyone is a hot mess.

I remember going back to work after I had my first and it was so hard. I think it was worse for me because DH stayed home with her and I was super jealous. It does get easier though, just give yourself some time. Also, you will appreciate your time together so much more. When I was on mat leave I feel like I wasted so much time and now I appreciate our time together way more if that makes sense. |

Thank you sarahh! What you said about appreciating the time more makes total sense...I actually was just telling my mom yesterday that I felt bad for taking for granted some of the days I had off and not enjoying him more. So, now I think I will appreciate those moments a lot more! |

Rainy and cool here today but I took the kids to the city today to pick up my new (first ever!) prescription sunglasses so I’m pretty excited about that, and then to a friend’s for a little visit before coming home. Later this afternoon I’m meeting my mom at the greenhouse for our annual flower shopping trip! And it’s N’s monthiversary!  |

tiffbabey coming back to say I splurged because I struggled a lot to find a bag that worked for me while pumping last time. I was only in the office 3x a week so I managed. But now I'll have to be in 5x a week for the most part so I want a bag that doesn't make me feel like a bag lady. With this I will just have my pump bag, and a lunch bag.

So we had a very fun adventure today with marygracerich, benandjerrys and bassa!!  For having 8 kids 3 and under between the 4 of us, we did great! These ladies are all so sweet and it was so amazing and lovely to get to meet them all and their kiddos! |
