Business day 5 here so it's a busy one. My MIL usually watches DS on Mondays but they're on vacation this week so thankfully daycare was able to take him an extra day.

We have block scheduling every Monday and Tuesday for the entire month of May for state testing. Since I teach part time (3 afternoon classes) today I only have one class. But, its my worst class, in fact it is the hardest class I've had to teach in my five years, so I am preparing myself for a long 2 hours this afternoon.

I’m “off” today, but I have had to go into the office twice already and I know I’ll be there tomorrow too on my other day “off”. Oh well. Nap time now for DD and I.

Nothing too exciting here today. Cleaned my kitchen a bit (which was still trashed from running out the door for the day yesterday), watered all my houseplants, went to Target to try on maternity tanks (which of course they didn't have my size in store in the colors I wanted) and look at some of the nursery bedding in person, came home and had lunch, then repotted one of my orchids while DS naps. After nap time we'll go play outside cause it's really nice and bright and sunny!

Brought to you by my drive back to work after lunch...
1) If I need to hit my brakes and slow WAY down to not hit you, you should not be pulling out in front of me while turning right on red.
2) I REALLY should not have to do the above 3 times in the same 15 minute drive home.
3) Yes it is nice out and I love a good walk to get away from my desk just as much as everyone else, but it is still a PARKING LOT!! Do not walk 4 wide, not pay attention to cars coming up behind you, then shoot me dirty looks for honking when you won't move.

Just saw they have 20% off baby furniture (and some baby gear) at Target! Now I feel pressured to decide on nursery furniture.... 20% is a nice chunk of savings on furniture! I think the offer ends 5/12.

Pretty dress! Definitely all up, both for comfort in the heat and to show off the low back of the dress. Maybe a low updo with a side french braid? Something like this: goo.gl/images/nCGieP

I just showed DH my list of names I like and he said he didn't like any of the girl names but of course he won't tell me any examples of ones he likes... Back to the drawing board I guess

Back to the drawing board I guess I agree with blurnette989, don’t give him veto power without suggesting anything! For every name he takes off your list, ask him to suggest two more

I left my list on the counter and told him until he adds anything to it then those are the choices. He didn't want to actively look at names for DD either so I shouldn't be surprised haha

I agree with this. I especially like the braids incorporated into the updos.

Our neighborhoods bi-annual garage sale is next month and I’m trying to get myself organized enough to participate. I have items I’d like to get rid of but getting things in order has been challenging. Anyone have any tips?

Our best friends leave in the morning to move so I'll be stopping by to say goodbye and give them a parting gift with some local stuff to remember Atlanta by. We had a nice steak dinner for them last night at our house and a lovely play date for the girls. I'm really going to miss them.
I'm a little nervous about DD's adjustment to her leaving and then the girl I've nannied full time for two years is starting school June 1st too so both best friends will be gone. 😪

justinbobby my advice for the garage sale would be to not bother pricing things individually, rather lump things into categories and price them all the same (ie $2.00 per sleeper, $0.50 per small toy, etc) have fun and hopefully you’re able to get rid of lots of stuff!

justinbobby my success with garage sales is to price stuff low. You are trying to get rid of it. You want it gone. Don't assume it is worth a lot- it's in a yard sale! Also I rarely bother pricing things and just put it out and when someone walks by I throw out the prices. Usually low prices spoken aloud Garners other people attention. Also I just group things, homewards, clothes, decorative items, stereotypical dude stuff, toys, etc. So people can spit one thing they like and likely see something else they might be into.n

Anything I don’t sell I’ll probably give to goodwill.

Yeah, I feel like we need to purge our house so badly and MH and I both are not great with parting with things. But I think now that I'm primarily the one trying to keep the house "organized", I'm feeling much more lenient!! Haha!

I do a deep declutter every few years. It can be shocking how much stuff you accumulate.
My dad is moving to Portugal and thought it would take a month to get rid of his stuff that he is not bringing. Hahahahhahahahahhahaha. It has been nearly 6 months and he is finally wrapping up.
