I *finally* finished my business cards and got them ordered. So many details to pay attention to and so hard to focus with lack of sleep and trying to hold a baby 90% of the time. Combined with doing 5 loads of laundry today (hello laundry day, I missed you! NOT.) I am feeling like I got a lot done. Except the lawn needs mowing and dd1 needs to go buy a present for a bday party this weekend. It NEVER ends. Ladies with one baby, don't let anyone lie to you, you will never catch up. Embrace it. I don't even see the light at the moment. fml. Serious dying over here.

snowmoon what diaper does your DS wear overnight? Mine’s been in a brown edge GMD prefold under a wool cover. They’re barely wide enough but I don’t want to deal with the hassle of getting the next size up from GMD right now. I've been using disposables for overnight since he potty trained. There was just no point in washing 2-3 dipes at a time. We were using a twinkie tush or bicklebear fitted under wool. It worked great for us and I'm sure they would still fit him fine and he's wearing 4t pants.

H came home early and I’m not mad about it. In fact he’s doing a bit of baby holding and I’m actually getting a few things done around the house🙌🏻 Current situation- ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180510/b34b54a667bb72e231827a1a2f8a4f10.jpg)

Well, the pedi was able to gently pull back and fix the baby's circ where it was just lightly attached, and he didn't even fuss. She just said to keep an eye on it and very gently check to make sure it doesn't try to reattach. I guess since he's so chunky, it's more likely to be a problem? I'm just glad it was an easy fix.
I had my 6w PP checkup right after, and everything went well. We talked about b/c and she mentioned the copper IUD as a non-hormonal option, but I decided to forgo for now. We'll either roll the dice or use condoms, and maybe revisit the mini-pill or IUD once I get my period. I really like my OB and I'm a little sad that I'm going back to just seeing her once a year!

Has anyone used gas drops for baby? Did they work? Is there a brand you recommend? DS2 seems to have really uncomfortable gas and I’m thinking about getting some. We use infants friend. Combined with lots of bicycle legs lol. Also sitting in the swing helps too as his legs are bent up slightly. At least, that’s where the gas explosions seem to happen... ETA: holding him against my chest legs dangling bouncing on the yoga ball also stops him screaming when he’s really uncomfortable

I feel bad for complaining about L so much here. Like when he’s feeling great, he’s actually a really easy baby. I think most of his issues are all related to his reflux. We just had his 2 month appointment today and his doctor confirmed his dose is too low for his weight since he’s about 4 lbs heavier than when she prescribed it. So we will up the dose tonight. I’m hoping that helps him out.
The good news is he is still putting on weight. It looks like he is on track to be the complete opposite of DS1 though. My first is like 95th percentile for height (and super skinny) and this one is like 40th (and actually has some baby rolls). So that’ll be interesting if that stays true.

I took B to the BF clinic this afternoon because i noticed he doesn’t open very wide and ends up with a smacking noise when he feeds, particularly on the left side. I almost cancelled because I thought they’d just tell me to latch better and I could google it.
Well. He has a tongue tie. That’s quite tight. He wasn’t hungry enough for them to clip today but she gave me some exercises to do, and better ideas on how to get him to latch, and next week we’ll clip him. She said his spit up and fussiness could be from that. Especially because the meds have been ok but not really great
Like ffs. We’ve seen a million doctors.

It’s amazing how everything always looks better after a good nights sleep. Has anyone had a problem with a formula fed baby suddenly start spitting up? J has been on the same formula since he’s been born, and he just started spitting up a lot. He doesn’t seem like he’s in pain and I try to burp him often. I’m not sure if it’s because he’s getting harder to burp, or if maybe I should try a different formula. Could he be drinking too much too quickly? Elle spits up if we use bottles with non-newborn nipples. Or if we lay her down too soon after feeding. Hmm...maybe. We are still using the newborn nipples. I might be putting him down too soon though.

I keep reminding myself this won’t last forever. And when he’s feeling good he is one awesome baby. And cute. So damn cute. So that helps.

DS1’s tongue tie didn’t get picked up until he was 8 months old. Not the only factor in our rough start but a massive factor none the less. I was pissed. And he was too old for it to be done by the GP we had to get it done by a surgeon in a private hospital. Immediate improvement. Amazing. I’m excited for next week for you!

i feel like i haven’t been able to keep up here all week. dd2 has been a nightmare for the last three nights and i want to cry. she was giving us 4-5 hour stretches for like 2 weeks. last night we were up 1030, 1130, 1230, 115, 330 and 5. she’s on antibiotics for an ear infection and i think her stomach is really bothering her. she now has a horrendous diaper rash and screams bloody murder when we change her (even when just using water wipes!). i feel so bad for her, but i want my good sleeper back! i think i’m going to try some probiotics.
my mom is coming over to watch the girls so i can get my hair cut/colored. my last hair cut was june 30. im excited but wish i could just take a 2 hour nap instead. or catch up on yard work.

mintyblueair first of all😍 that picture is adorable! i didn’t ask why...i probably should have. i don’t know anything about probiotics so i guess i was just taking their word for it. i need to be better at questioning things. i’m frustrated if it’s actually ok - which i’m guessing it is if your dr is recommending them.

mintyblueair so gorgeous!! I'm leaving N with someone other than my H for the first time. Well, while she's awake. Em's preschool is having a mother's day celebration so I'm making it a Big Kid and mommy day. She's with my parents and I know they'll be fine, but it's still a bit stressful.

leatherpants that’s frustrating they didn’t catch the tongue tie sooner. Hopefully getting it clipped next week will drastically improve things for you guys! polson I’m sorry for the rough night. Hope your little lady feels better soon and that you can enjoy your hair appt! I need to get mine cut sometime soon too but I also find myself thinking “I’d rather be sleeping” than going out and doing something. mrsmonogrammed that pic of you H and O is too cute for words. mintyblueair what a beautiful babe! That pic is so sweet. I love her little bow and her hand on her cheek. katietopaz glad it was an easy fix! I feel the same way about not getting to see my OB for a year now. I love her and it feels so weird after seeing her so often over the past several months.

polson my kids doc never prescribes antibiotics without recommending culturelle on top of it to prevent tummy upset and diaper rash. I'd push back or just go ahead if it's something you want to do. This is from Boston Children's Hospital, not exactly a suspicious source : thriving.childrenshospital.org/is-it-safe-to-give-my-baby-probiotics-for-colic/Also for the diaper rash: this is our best trick. Buy colloidal oatmeal (aveeno is easy to find) and make a thick paste of it with some water. It will look like concrete. Apply handfuls of it to the baby's bum and put a clean diaper on. Let it marinate for twenty min or so. Then rinse off with warm water, gently pat dry and apply your fav diaper ointment before rediapering. Do it every day until the rash heals. We used to get prescription ointments for DS's rash but this trick did more good for him than anything.

polson I wonder if it's just an official guidelines thing? I feel ok using them on the advice of my doctor and I think they've made a difference for N, so if you feel comfortable you could always just try it. Especially after antibiotics.

I was going to recommend probiotics as well polson. D1 had ear infections a lot and her doctor always recommended probiotics with antibiotics. The pharmacist would mention it as well. I'm sorry and I hope she is feeling better soon and you all get some sleep.

thanks for the input ladies...i think it’s strange that they don’t recommend at this point. she is so miserable. i hate that she has to be on antibiotics and then this on top of it.

I need to post more. I read pretty much everything but for some reason can't think what to reply to everyone.
DH and I took DS to an annual garage sale today. Got him a few clothes and a couple toys. And we got a weed eater so I can trim around our yard. It didn't get done as much as we'd like because we borrow both mower and trimmer from FIL so we have to quick take it back always.
I think I will try to get the rest of my baby announcements and thank you cards ready for the mail either tomorrow or Monday. Then I have an order from my sewing room that a store is waiting on. 😬

Have fun ! cornpop! I haven't left DS yet either. I met to get him more used to the bottle! I've just been lazy about that. leatherpants I'm really annoyed for you that it took this long to find his tongue tie. But it'll be awesome if it really helps!!

Does any one have the power to unpin some of the stuff from the top of the board? There’s a lot there and most of it isn’t used anymore now that babies have arrived.
