When is your due date? How far along are you? 09/17 ; 21 weeks
How big is baby? A baseball cap
Team Pink/blue/green/don't know? Blue
Any Upcoming Appointments? Next Monday
Symptoms: Swelling
Milestones: I'm on the other side of half way.
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? AW: DD talked to the baby for the first time last night. She did this little thing that MIL always did when she was a baby which starts at her toes and ends at a belly tickle. SO she wanted to do it to the baby (me) and I told her that he could hear her so she was talking to him. Rave: Vivid dreams keep waking me up at night and then I have a hard going back to sleep. Then my mind went to "what if this baby isn't healthy? We should have stopped with DD. blahblahblahblah". Also someone I know had her water break last night (she was due around Memorial day) and she's in the hospital having a baby and I'm...bitter? For no real reason, honestly. I guess I just have literally no hope that I won't end up being induced with a long labor because I have a feeling DS will be a chunky baby who doesn't want to leave, just like DD. And my FB memories from 6 years ago are of me being hugely pregnant with DD (born 6/7/12). My loss baby would have been due on June 14th and I'm reminded of that. Like I said......literally no reason to be bitter at anyone else lol.

ftwr that's so cute with your DD! Also, loss due dates are hard. And pregnancy hormones and pregnancy worries are hard! No need to have any "reason" to feel your feelings 😊 Hugs!

Any Upcoming Appointments? Doctors appointment on Wednesday. Just a routine prenatal visit but I’ll get to hear the heartbeat again.
Symptoms: Back pain this morning. Heartburn.
Milestones: Half way!!
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions: I have this weird ring shaped rash on the inside of my left elbow. I think it’s been there for a while but it doesn’t hurt or itch so I don’t think of it often. Going to try to remember to ask my doctor about it on Wednesday.

Symptoms: I’ve had some sinus pain and congestion for the past week but I’m not sure that it’s pregnancy related I had some serious congestion (exacerbated by pregnancy, I think) that turned into a sinus infection that turned into an ear infection. It was so bad my teeth were hurting. Ughh. I even went to the dentist because I thought something was wrong with my mouth lol Turns out I was also clenching so I got a daytime appliance made for that lol

When is your due date? How far along are you? 9/17 21 weeks
How big is baby? 10 inches head to toe and weighs about 3/4 of a pound!
Team Pink/blue/green/don't know? Green
Any Upcoming Appointments? Appointment with the nurse next week
Symptoms: heartburn, boobs still hurt, out of breath all the time
Milestones: Over half way!
Rants/Raves/AW/Questions? This baby had its head toward my ribs at the anatomy scan and I still think it is facing that way because I am getting a ton of kicks really low in my vag area and it feels so weird. DD was pretty much always head down so I never felt kicks this low.
Rant: I am trying to convince DH that a swing set would be great for the backyard, especially once baby arrives so DD can play outside where I don't have to worry about her running away. We actually looked at tons of swing sets online on Saturday and now he is saying our neighbors won't want to look at a swing set and that it will look dumpy. We were looking at really nice swing sets so I don't know what he is thinking, but now I'm sad that DD won't have anything to play with in the back yard.

chriskoo,I sometimes get a weird ring shaped rash in my right elbow. I think it is when I'm more stressed (or when I have eaten gluten or dairy by accident + stress), and it usually lasts quite a while. My brother who is a pharmacist (so obviously not a doctor, but deals a lot with little stuff like this quite a bit) said that its not a big deal and if I wanted to put some rash cream on it that was fine, but it was also fine to just let it go away on its own if it wasn't bothering me. Nymeria, My DD always kicked her cousins when I held them when I was pregnant with her, and this baby likes to kick it's sister

As long as it's not leaning sideways falling apart neighbors shouldn't and at least my neighbors wouldn't care about a swing set!! Half of the houses in our neighborhood have one!

Nymeria - I'm kinda in love when the baby kicks while I'm rocking DS 😍 I imagine it will be less of a lovey feeling as I get huge and the kicks more powerful, but right now I just think "Awh, the THREE of us." getdownplease - sorry, I laughed at your pants situation too! 😆 I hope you weren't having a bad day - that would've made me cry instantly on a bad day! brenna - omg your DH! A nice swing set or play structure does NOT look dumpy! Press on with this one momma - kids need shit to play on! We have a wooden play structure in our back yard and DS loves it! He'll just be 2 this month. The wood is getting pretty worn and I'm nervous about splinters, so we've been considering getting a bigger, better, resin one!

Nymeria and tbirdlove I'm glad you see it from my point of view! Our HOA is ridiculous so we had to put in wrought iron fences so our yard is completely visible to our neighbor's. I mentioned getting one to our neighbor (an older lady with grown up kids who loves dd) and she thought it was a great idea...

There's lots of homes in suburbia without a privacy fence and swing sets are absolutely part of the norm lol DD plays on her's all the time and even more so now that she has friends she can play with. Definitely move on the swing set!

brenna I think you should keep pushing for the swing set. We bought one this winter while it was on sale. I’m just waiting for the ground to dry up so he H can put it together. I can’t wait for summer days in my backyard with and entertained child.

L I wore it for about a week, 20-30 minutes at a time throughout the day, when I felt my mouth muscles getting sore. I also starting using my night time appliance again which has helped too. I also had a melt down too when I was feeling super shitty. I sat in the living room and cried.

I know some Drs say it's a no go the whole time, but my OB ok's Sudafed and Tylenol Sinus after 13 weeks. I still try to avoid it unless absolutely necessary but 2 doses a month ago when I was so congested my ears and teeth hurt were all I needed to get past the worst. I realize it can be hard to take something comfortably if your Dr says no, but I wanted to at least offer this info in case anyone was desperate.

Infant Risk center is a great resource for medication safety during pregnancy (and breastfeeding) They have app called Mommy Meds (costs a few bucks in the app store) and also a free hotline where they will answer questions about medications. It's run out of Texas Tech university and research-based. Drs can be overly cautious about meds, especially while breastfeeding, and many non-OB doctors just err on the side of caution and tell you not to take anything. www.infantrisk.com/

I find it most things I've looked up say "Unknown, risk to the fetus cannot be ruled out". I was a bit annoyed actually that I paid for it then most of the stuff I've tried to look up says that.

With DD I had to drink a lot to get a full bladder for the anatomy scan but they haven't given any instructions this time. Did anyone have to drink a bunch before it this time around? Different places seem to have different preferences. When I went for mine with DD, the tech actually told me to pee before we started. This time, I've had zero instructions, so I'm just going to show up and pee if I have to go beforehand.
