Ha, I hadn’t even thought of that, good point! MH really wants to get Mexican tomorrow. No thank you to waiting freaking forever for a table with 2 kids. That's where I am, too. Will be picking up stuff to make tacos and margaritas here tomorrow night. Wanna come over?!?

Morning! It's new fridge day here! We're waiting on delivery and then hitting Target for diapers and something to contain things in the deck and garage. How do you guys store things like bubbles, wiffle ball bats, beach balls, etc. i'm thinking of a storage bench for the deck, so it can double as an additional seating area, but for the garage probably just a big heavy plastic thing that has drawers? I’m not fancy. I just have a huge clear tote in the garage with all those loose outdoor toys. We also have a floor to ceiling shelving unit and the bottom 2 shelves have some of that stuff as well. (Along w their beach/pool toys)

Morning! It’s a beautiful day here. I’m working until noon then we’re picking the kids up and heading to Des Moines to visit friends for the weekend. Not looking forward to the drive but hopefully the kids sleep a while.
It’s N’s favorite teachers last day so we stopped at the store to pick up flowers and n made a card this morning. Poor girl is pretty sad.

I would like whatever is on the deck to look like it coordinates with the other furniture there, but the garage just needs to be functional.

I use a deck box for the kids toys, I also added some dividers in it, just cut some lattice but you could definitely use cardboard to divide areas for some organization. This one www.homedepot.ca/en/home/p.marvel-46-inch-x-18-inch-x-22-inch-deck-box-in-brown.1000821037.htmlETA: Happy fridge day, new appliances are exciting! make sure to keep the box for the kids, it's so sturdy, hours and hours of fun for them and quiet for you

Tgif! N is better and at school. MH had a happy hour and crashed at his friends last night since it ran late and not worth driving an hour home and back. The kids thought he was gone before they woke up, ha. Catching up on work and checking out the new listings for the week. One seriously looks like Fixer Upper did it, the staging is gorgeous.. reminding myself that the decor doesn't come with the house..

Back from p.t. The therapist thinks it might be a good idea to look into OT for sensory integration. She said it is possible she is either walking on her toes for that extra stimulus, or not walking on her heels to avoid stimulus. So yay, something new to look into. She didn't think it would be helpful for us to continuing seeing her monthly, since there is nothing new to add and she doesn't think it is still a muscular issue. I showed Cadence a video of the braces she will have to wear at the end of summer if she doesn't break the toe walking habit. She thought they were cool....because of course she did. But, on the bright side, at least it is no longer a muscular issue. We have gotten her muscles stretched and now we just have a habit to break.

My MIL asked me if they could keep the kids tonight. I've never packed their bags so quickly. The best, enjoy your night off! Theo has been so whiny lately. As I was packing up boxes for the Salvation Army this morning I briefly thought about sticking an extra box out on the porch with him in it. He's cute, someone would buy him 😉

Ha, I hadn’t even thought of that, good point! MH really wants to get Mexican tomorrow. No thank you to waiting freaking forever for a table with 2 kids. When I lived in ATL the guy I dated had a 5/5 birthday. We tried to go out for Mexican (which was his favorite) and ended up at some Cajun place bc it was going to be a 3-hour wait. I think that’s the first And last time I actually tried to get Mexican on Cinco de Mayo.

I typically see them used around pools but for your backyard you could look at a deck box. I’ve seen them at places like Home Depot but also online as well. ETA: ha, I see vino beat me to it. Great minds...

I’ve ordered pizza and have a nice white beer in the fridge. Kids were over stimulated today and are crabby and exhausted. So they’re in the tub early an will hopefully fall asleep very fast.

Speaking out outdoor stuff, does anyone have an outdoor bar fridge? I'm wondering if it would be worth it, or just use a bucket with ice when we are out with the kids, neighbours and their kids like this

Call us crazy, but we're going to try scuba flippers. I read an article about a woman who used them to prevent her child from continuous toe walking and said it helped tremendously. So, mh ordered some training flippers on amazon for $7 to see if it helps. She'll just wear them around the house, but she really can't toe walk in them, there's no way. SO, if it is in fact just a habit, then we can try and break it this way....hopefully, she doens't break anything else in the process. Oh, inthekitty that nail stuff worked great! Cadence hasn't been chewing her fingers at all any more!!!

I'm scared to look at how little I have filled out, but I came across a lot of stuff that needs to be put into it. Like, I know I never wrote when she started walking or what her first word was.

Also, jealous that the polish worked for you guys. We have a stage 5 nail biter😬

It was an el-cheapo at Costco, nothing fancy. Its handy but if we were entertaining I’d prob still put out a washtub with drinks.
