We need to get out of the house after a day and a half of being cooped up, so we're headed to the zoo this morning. B seems to be doing better--no fever since yesterday and just some congestion. Who knows *what* that was.
Hope everyone has a nice day!

Rainy day here. L had a rough night because of teething. A and I are just laying low today.

We're outside already --snacks and drinks on the deck, and they're running around. I wish it would tire Josie out enough to want to nap since she's been up since six, and I would love an hour to myself today.

Morning! Day 3 of training. I was told yesterday that we might lose him because HR doesn't want us to use union workers for a non-union job. So we'll see what happens. At this point it's whatever to me. 5 more working days for me.

Morning! It's once again supposed to be Colin's first tee-ball game tonight and there are - of course- thunderstorm warnings. I just want to see my kid get up to bat and maybe spin around in the outfield, is that too much to ask? Sigh...
I slept in this morning and am taking the day off to rest my legs after a few days of hard but short(ish) runs. I'm still super nervous about Sunday but I feel like my head is gradually getting into the right place. I also found out they will allegedly have a 3:30 pace group, so I may just join that so I have people to run with. It's always easier to stay on pace with some company.
Also Chase was running around the house this morning saying "good morning Dada, good morning Colin" and it was the cutest thing. Not so cute is Colin's hair - he wants to grow it out but the current length isn't working with his normal style. We've got to figure this out or he's getting a summer 'do, like it or not.

Yes, this!! I spent forever catching up yesterday but never replied. We'd looked into modular homes when we were first buying, there's just very little land around here that isn't already built up. It definitely seems like a great choice if you live anywhere with, well, weather.

Also I didn't keep up here yesterday but I certainly spent a good chunk of yesterday morning moving things in and out of my carts at Carters, H&M and Old Navy. I was able to narrow it down to just H&M and Old Navy, so the boys will soon have plenty of shorts and a few new tank tops for the summer. Chubby little boys in tank tops just kill me.

I can't wait to see pictures of the house,@peach! Now that the house itself is ready did the builders give you any idea when they'll be pouring the foundation?

I just got a text that my grandmother is in the hospital. She's not a delightful woman, but I do have sympathy for the amount of loss she's had in her life. I'm sure losing my aunt this last month is contributing to her worsening condition.

MH kept me up most of the night coughing. He didn't take any nyquil before bed. Thanks dude.
Why can't men be quiet? He got up to get water. Stomps around the house then body slams himself back on the bed. He tosses and turns for an hour and then decides he's going to just get up to shower. He then proceeds to drop every fucking shampoo bottle, body wash etc while in the shower.
Really? I know I'm a light sleeper but WTF. Let's not wake up the kids earlier than we need to...

Haha, tgrimes and vino! MH has the habit of coming in while I'm sleeping, turning the bedroom light on and talking to me. Or if he gets up MOTN or earlier than me he'll flip the bathroom light on without closing the door first. At least attempt to not wake me up.

Are we all sister wives? Because DH is the worst at night too, stomping and flopping and so damn flegmy. There's a reason I never hesitate to sleep in the guestroom when one of us gets sick.

Ear plugs changed my life guys. I got them when C was a baby and we would take shifts. It helped me turn off when it was my time to sleep. Now I can't sleep without them. Bonus is that I didn't hear C yelling for his Captain America action figure at 3:30am yesterday so DH had to deal with that.

joelies do they have Tball practice or just games? C had his first practice last night and it was something. He was generally ok but I have never heard more fake fart noises in my life than I did while they were lining up to bat. 7 boys feeding off of each other's bad behavior. At one point there was a kid rolling in the grass, another running away, and another throwing his glove in the air yelling catch. C also put his mouth on the T for some odd reason. Just wanted a taste I guess. Weirdo! Saturday's game will be interesting.

Colin doesn't even know which side to bat on yet. So tonight should be... something.

I'm moving offices today. I just moved all my crap and my computer will be moved later today when I am out. A few of us are going to Newport to scout a location for our annual retreat. I am happy to get out of the office, especially on such a nice day, but it takes an hour to drive there and I don't really feel like it.
Oh, also speaking of Tball. I am going to have to buy C his own helmet because his wider than average head got stuck in it last night. I hate that his big head will be an issue his whole life. I hope he doesn't grow self conscious of it because I sure am.

Morning ladies! Last night was the first time in a LONG time that I actually went to the basement because of possible tornadoes. We knew there was potential yesterday, we were outside having drinks with our neighbors and the sirens started going off. It wasn't raining or anything, so we ignored them, but kept an eye on the sky. A few minutes later, they went off again, so I took Evie and hid in the basement, while H helped the neighbors get both their cars in the garage. Lots of rain, but as far as I know, there wasn't an actual tornado, just rotation in the clouds. So that was exciting.
Then I let my dog out to potty, laid down with Evie, thinking I'd get up in a few minutes, but fell asleep, so she spent the entire night outside. I think she hates me this morning.
I enrolled Evie in preschool this morning, for this fall. It doesn't seem possible that she is old enough. Like, my oldest memories are of preschool, so she is going to start remembering the stupid shit I do as a parent to screw her up. Great.
