1. How far along are you? 35.5 weeks
2. How big is baby? Honeydew
3. Team: Girl
4. Symptoms: Swelling, hip pain, insomnia, anxiety
5. What/when is your next appointment? Monday for BPP ultrasound, GBS swab
6. Questions / concerns / rants: This week I've been super emotional. The other night after I got home from work I cried at everything my husband said to me. I finally broke down and cried about being scared about everything. Yay emotions!
7. GTKY: At what temperature do you keep your house? Its always a battle between the two of us. I'd prefer to bundle up in the winter and I don't like using AC, but my husband is basically the opposite.

1. How far along are you? Or how old is baby?13 days old!
2. How big is baby? She was 7lb 9 oz at birth, and wasn’t back to birth weight at her first check up. Hopefully she will be at he rappt on Monday.
3. Team: pink
4. Symptoms: I’m exhausted from the middle of the night wake ups, but otherwise I’m doing so well! It’s amazing at what recovery can be like when one isn’t on the verge of death. My swelling finally went down the past few days. And I’m only sporadically taking Ibuprofen for my tear when I overdo it.
5. What/when is your next appointment? She has her two week check up on Monday.
6. Questions / concerns / rants: The dr and nurses at the hospital kept freaking out over a whole bunch of little things until the NICU doctor finally agreed to check on her while we were still at the hospital. He thought she was fine, but was a bit concerned about her neck muscle tone compared to other newborns and that, combined with the appearance of my husband, made him feel a referral to the medical genetics department at the local children’s hospital would be a good idea. But he wasn’t specific as to WHY. Well, the clinic can’t get her in until JANUARY. This is NOT helping my already worsening PPA.
7. GTKY: At what temperature do you keep your house? Around 69-70. I can’t sleep if it is too hot. We just use long sleeve sleep gowns and a swaddle sack to make sure she’s warm enough.

daffodilsandcoffee any way to call and see why the appointment was made? The rest of the year is a long time to wonder or maybe your pedi has thoughts / can ask?

daffodilsandcoffee any way to call and see why the appointment was made? The rest of the year is a long time to wonder or maybe your pedi has thoughts / can ask? The pedi said she would request the hospital records to see if she could figure out what the neonatologist was thinking but I’m not sure it will be very clear. She is double certified in internal medicine and is actually my H and My doctor as well. My H has some weird problems that no specialist has been able to figure out, so she’s hoping the genetics component will help her figure out what’s wrong with him. I do know the genetics people scheduled us with the bone dysplasia clinic, but Dr. Google is not helpful.

daffodilsandcoffee that's really disconcerting. I hope you can figure out what the thought process was there, I can't imagine waiting until January to get some answers about what they're looking for, let alone what they'll find.

Thanks for the support, everyone. We are on a cancellation waitlist for the clinic, but I'm not hopeful we will get in much sooner. Apparently they only hold the clinic once a month.
