For those of y’all who swaddled baby tightly with arms down, when did you switch to something else? I’m still swaddling him that way but I think he might be ready for more arm freedom.

I’m still swaddling at 4 months. He can’t roll over yet so I am comfortable doing so. When it comes to sleep, I am team don’t fix what isn’t broken. He sleeps great swaddled so 🤷🏻♀️.

DD2 and 3 were swaddled until 6 months when we forced them out of the RnP and swaddle and into the crib.

@helloeerrbody we use the halo sleep sack. Arms down and tight.
With DD1 we used the zipadee zip once rolling.

We don’t swaddle - neither of my girls liked it - but I thought you were supposed to start arms out at 8 weeks? Not sure where I read that. I’ve heard good things about the zippity zip though. Speaking of rolling, DD2 just woke for a feeding and she was on her tummy. So now I am going to have to check on her constantly. Ugh - maybe I wouldn’t be so anxious if she was not so sick.

I've always heard that when they can roll themselves over to their belly it isn't crucial for them to stay on their backs. They are strong enough to be able to lift their head/move if they need to.

I normally wouldn’t think anything of it but she is sick and was laying in a pile of snot and drool. If she was healthy I definitely wouldn’t worry about it. They if they roll themselves over they are good to leave that way.

Checking in! Week has gone by fast now that work has started. It hasn’t been too bad. I’ve only had to leave once and that was for a few hours yesterday so I’m easing in. I forgot how good to feels to accomplish tasks at work. I have a nursing injury though! All of a sudden my right arm is having pains running from my triceps around my elbow through my forearm. Too much time with it winged out. Guess it’s time for another massage! Baby also woke up the past 3 nights at 2 am after sleeping from 10ish to 6ish for almost 30 days. Just in time for mommy to go back to work. 😤 3 month growth spurt?
