Hi! trtlcrzy H was staying in north central Nebraska last night and kept sending me snaps of the weather. This has been such a weird spring so far with storms (and lack of tornadoes), I'm worried all hell is going to break loose at one time! I hope C does great today yummeecookee! I hope B doesn't have strep flamingo and it's nothing! Yesterday was pretty overwhelming. I took one day off and couldn't get shit caught up. I finally got through all my emails this morning and am taking care of current issues, not from 2 weeks ago. I scheduled the install for everything else we are having done for next week. Either H or I have to be home next Mon, Tues, Wed and Fri for something or other. H is trying to get home tonight so we can look at schedules and see who has to take off when. Has anyone installed tile recently? I'm having flashbacks to the nightmare that was tile replacement when I was married the first time and going the entire weekend without a toilet. We have 3 bathrooms so it will be really frustrating if none of them have a toilet for more than a day. I have talked to Evie about it and I'm getting my mom's potty chair for E to use. But what a PITA for me and H (who will likely be out of town). I would hope they would stagger the tile install so that wouldn’t happen. It’s a 2 day process because one day you lay the tile and then the next you grout.

peachsmama Truck drivers are a different type of personality. I do not miss scheduling loads, even the in town drivers drove me crazy. Over the road haulers, holy shit, I hated talking to them. We have both local and over the road. But they all self disbatch. I don't pick their loads at all. So not dealing with that. And it's the appeal of our company really, you can make your own schedule. We trust them to make enough to cover us and they get to make their own hours. I have drivers that don't leave their house before 10 am *eye roll* and I have one driver that I would clone if possible. He makes us a lot of money because he'll go anywhere. He lives in Ohio and goes all the way to Alabama and Missouri weekly.

I might call them back and see what else we can do.

flamingo, I'm sorry about the fever. I would probably take him in for a swab. C never got white spots and sometimes didn't complain of a sore throat. The fever was our only sign. Best to jump on it quickly.

I went to lunch with my grandma because it's 5 years since my grandpa passed. It's a beautiful day and DS1 has a baseball game tonight. Of course I'm stuck in the snack stand flipping burgers again. I don't even grill at home and I'm stuck doing it for baseball.

Late hello! I was running around with a friend this morning who likes to do errands with me. It's nice to have someone to run through Starbucks with and then chat with while we shop.
I'm waiting for H to finish work, so we can do a quick Ikea trip to sit on a couch and get Mama some meatballs. My rugs for the basement got delivered today. Overstock is having a big spring "Black Friday" sale, and I got a beautiful 8x10 and a coordinating 6.7x9 for $250. Couldn't believe it!
I can't wait for the basement to come together, I might live down there.

kim22 How nice that you and your grandma do lunch to commemorate your grandpa. You are reminding me I need to get out to see my grandma more. peachsmama A long time ago, in another life, I briefly sold semi-trucks. Truck drivers are definitely a different breed. The stuff we could see come in with the trucks 😯 Also, I could have gone through life not knowing what a lot lizard was.

So far, so good...B’s fever is down, he’s much perkier, and his throat is clear. So who knows what’s going on...he’s a bit congested so hoping it’s just part of a cold. He’s wanting pizza and not soup 🤷🏻♀️

dapostrophe one of the things I miss most about being away from home is not having my mom/partner-in-crime to do my errands with! Glad you had a fun and productive day with your friend

Dh picked C up from school so I went to TJMaxx, Target, Carter’s and Panera. And got a run in while he did bedtime. I wish he could be home every night. I could get used to this!

We just got notice that picture day is Tuesday. Of course C has speech and it took me over a month to schedule it because we also need to meet with the school to go over his IEP. So he will likely miss pictures. He missed last year because of speech and I’m bummed. They are taking cap and gown pics for graduation 😞

I just got home from work. My arms and hands are so scratched up, I need to wear gloves and possibly long sleeves. I’m so tried and sore, I’m probably going to crash after my shower.

wedding, our dog was just outside and as I was calling him in he yelped and I saw something scurry away. Dh went out and thought he saw a small opossum under a tree. Gus came in and has a small cut on his mouth and a little bleeding. Is there anything to be worried about from opossums?

Gus came in and has a small cut on his mouth and a little bleeding. Is there anything to be worried about from opossums? Opossums can have rabies but it is super rare. Is he up to date on his shot? As long as the cut doesn’t look infected I probably wouldn’t worry about it. Unfortunately if a dog got rabies from an animal, you can’t do anything. The State usually would issue a quarantine of the animal to watch for signs. But it can take six months for signs to show in a vaccinated animal and quarantining a dog that long is unrealistic.

Who has done a breastfeeding elimination diet? I need help. I did with Dude. Did you eliminate all the major allergens at once or try one at a time?

Did you eliminate all the major allergens at once or try one at a time? IIRC, I did dairy, wheat, soy and citrus at the same time. Then the plan was for me to reintroduce each item one at a time.
