I am at the airport now for a work trip and I won’t be home until late afternoon on Thursday.
It is my first overnight away from baby J - I have anxiety about leaving. I am going to miss him and DD.

I definitely thought I replied to this but I guess not. I’m drinking iced coffee. Little man is sleeping and G is at school. I may take him shopping after his next bottle. I need shorts for him and some stuff for G’s birthday on Sunday. We aren’t having a party but just a few family members are coming over for dinner and cake.

Good morning! Trying to get back in the swing of things. DD2 thru 4 and I might run to Target. Otherwise it’s just trying to clean the house bit by bit.
Baby has developed some pretty bad eczema on her legs, so even though dairy free did nothing for her spit up, I’m going to give it a go again and see if the eczema gets better.

ajetter hope your DDs eczema clears up! My dd1 has eczema and still flares every now and again. We used Aquaphor bathing gel, Eucerin baby eczema cream, and even need a script from the Dr for a high % cortisone cream for the flare ups.

Can you die from sleep deprivation? I mean. Asking for a friend. 😞 I am living proof that it’s not the healthiest but you will probably survive. I used to go days straight with no sleep. I’m sorry you aren’t sleeping much. It’s so hard.

It just sucks bad right now.

It’s supposed to be gorgeous the next few days. I plan on hanging out outside after I pick DS1 from daycare after school.
Otherwise just working on excerising and plugging away at my to do list. My anxiety is really ramped up and I’m hoping having stuff to focus on will help.

We used Aquaphor bathing gel, Eucerin baby eczema cream, and even need a script from the Dr for a high % cortisone cream for the flare ups. All my girls have pretty sensitive skin, but it has been easy to keep under control with cetaphil and aquaphor, no fabric softener, etc. We’ve been slathering on aquaphor and cetaphil on baby and nothing is touching it. If cutting dairy doesn’t improve anything by her appointment on the 14th, maybe I’ll talk to the doc about getting something else.

The weather is supposed to be beautiful this week. Since work is slow-ish I may take Faith for a walk this afternoon before she goes down for a nap.
Yesterday she slept from 2-6:30 when I had to wake her up. She went down for the night at 9:00 in her crib and slept until 2:30. Then was up and down for several hours until I pulled her into bed with us. I was so out of it I don't even remember what time that was. I know sleep begets sleep, but I'm thinking naps that long aren't a good thing?

Is this the first time it has showed up? did you use sunscreen on her at Disney. It's weird that you said that because we went to Disney when DD1 was 7.5 months and that was the first time we put sunscreen on her and that is the first time her eczema popped up. Then it was bad for the next year. So I blame that either on sunscreen or Disney.

Sending all the sleep vibes for everyone today/tonight!
M was also up at 330 So I’m also feeling a bit sluggish today.
Do any of you experience heart palpitations? I never used to get them before having D and ever since I randomly get them. Yesterday I had 3 ina row and they scare the shit out of me so I’m tempted to see if I should give up my morning coffee to try and avoid them? But apart of me thinks it’s not the coffee and could be normal and just kinda whatever?

First day back at work. I’m actually really happy to be in my classroom again. I have so much energy and mobility compared to when I was last in there!
Though I’d forgotten what a pain in the ass pumping at work is. I will have to use my lunch twice a week and 30 minutes isn’t really enough to eat, strap everything on, and be all set for my students to walk back in. I was chilly and stressed and my output sucked compared to what I can usually get.

maddisonrose, I get them but have learned to manage them. For me coffee is a trigger (I can have only one cup per day). The other trigger is bending over when I'm hot. It's like all the blood goes to my heart and it works really hard to redistribute it. It happened a lot when I would get out of the shower and dry my feet off, which is how I figured it out. Anyway it wasn't a pp thing, I had them since my early twenties.

But we did put sunscreen on her the first day at Disney and it got way worse while we were at Disney. So might have something to do with the sunscreen, but also we weren’t as good about lotion/aquaphor/etc while we were there. So who knows. After the first day I rigged a light swaddle in the carrier to wrap around her legs because I was paranoid they would get burnt not matter what.

I had an interesting convo with my aunt today. The marketing department for a Farm product company my uncle works for is looking for a photographer for this farming season for just a few photo shoots at their farm. My aunt and uncle really like my photos and asked if this is something I’d be interested in doing this year, as in starting like next week. I’m a little nervous, because photography is just a hobby for me and really, 99% of my pictures are my kids haha, but it could be a fun/different opportunity and see if it’s something I like doing more outside my home. They have childcare lined up for me and wouldn’t need too much time and if they don’t like my pics, oh well, I wasn’t looking for the job so I figure no harm done. She’s going to have my uncle or cousin call me later with more details to make a decision!

I use the crockpot on the reg. Chicken with taco seasoning and some water or broth - shred for salads or tacos. Chicken with zesty italian salad dressing mix packet and some water with broccoli and carrots, you can add cream cheese at the end if you want something richer, shred and put over rice. Pork shoulder with a can of pineapple chunks in juice and sliced jalapenos, shred for tacos. Chicken with bbq sauce - shred for baked potatoes or sandwiches. Tortilla soup - tons of chicken broth, taco seasoning packets, chicken breast, corn, black beans, canned diced tomatoes, cilantro, chopped carrots - cook and then take chicken out to shred and put back in.

I went with 2 of my good neighborhood girlfriends and all the kiddos to the zoo today! It actually went shockingly well! Now both boys are napping! maddisonrose, not heart related, but I have recently developed a muscle twitch in the muscle above my eyebrow, and I think I need to give up all caffeine to get it to stop. INSERT SAD FACE

helloerrbody I'm going to try some of your recipes soon! Thanks for sharing my crock pot go tos are chili and beef roast. The beef roast is super simple. I start the roast from frozen and top with a packet of onion soup mix (dry). I personally add a few halved potatoes, a quarter onion and a bag of baby carrots. Cook all day.

We had our 4 month appointment today. She is 25.5” (>99%), 15lbs 1oz (79%) and Head is 17in (94%).
And she has an ear infection and an eye infection that she is treating like pink eye. She is so sad and snotty. She’s been congested for a few weeks but the past few days have been way worse. And I have to keep her out of daycare for a day for the antibiotics to kick in so I’ll be home tomorrow probably being lazy. I really hope the antibiotics kick in quickly so she can breathe a little better.
