Add me to the nap woes! We went from perfect naps to catnaps! It’s killer, plus night wake ups haven’t ceased.
And now h has a yeast infection that just won’t go away. It doesn’t seem to bug him, but it looks bad...

Yup like I said, STTN was a fluke, she was up twice last night 🤦🏻♀️ This is a little flameful (to me), but the way A started sttn was MH forgot to open As door before bed and I don’t think I could hear him cry. I use the monitor, but keep the sound off. So I didn’t open the door the next night either, and ever since he’s STTN. 🤷🏼♀️ A couple times I put the sound on the monitor he never woke up full crying, so I just let it be now.

I hope she starts to sttn again!

@easilyunamused I sort of did this too!! H had started fussing from his crib, and I was like, I will lie here one more minute, and next thing I knew my alarm was going off and he was asleep, and I didn't know how long he had fussed. But I think I was jumping the gun in running into the nursery, so now if he's just fussing and not wailing, I try to wait ten minutes and he usually calms down.

I let R fuss in order to get her to sleep better at night. I let her cry when she needs to nap and fights it. I don’t feel bad about it at all.
R wants to start her day at like 5am. I’m not sure how to handle this.

I know I’m coming back but is sleep training flamefull here ? We did one week of CIO total elimination method the first week of April and have STTN ever since. Also naps are no longer a battle. No it's not. We did Ferber at 4.5 months when J was in a sleep regression and to nap train. I would say he does great for naps 90% of the time and we do let him cry if he needs to but that isn't often. He still gets up twice at night but I'm ok with that since he is small and needs to eat. I'm hoping to get him down to once a month by june. As for others, one done the I'll wait 2 more minutes and then fall asleep only yo wake to him crying hours later. I'm sure he fell asleep as I did since I'm a super light sleeper. We now wait at least 5 minutes motn before getting him which has helped. But, we still have had nights here and there

This was kind of what we had to do too, if we did check in’s she went ballistic. It worked great for awhile but then sickness and teething and we are 1-2 wakeups again. If I let her scream too long MOTN she wakes the toddler so I feel screwed.

GUYS! My child just slept 11 hours straight. 9p-8a! Like holy shit balls! I mean it’s entirely possible he woke up at some point but fell back asleep on his own / didn’t cry enough to wake us up 😳 lol but whatever! I’m just amazed! He’s never done this! Or gone this long- he’s always up by like 6am on nights he doesn’t wake up.

I’ve been signing “more” with R since she started eating solids. Yesterday, H stopped feeding her to talk to me and I was like, “is she signing more?” So, today he caught it on camera. She doesn’t clap yet, but girl likes to eat.

I am so jealous of all the sleeping babies! J still wakes 2-3 times easy. He goes down fast but still gets hungry. And DD started having night terrors which re awful! And they both have terrible allergies. I want sleep. They are great nappers but rarely do they nap at the same time. I know once they are in daycare I will miss all my time with them but I need a vacation from my kids...

@ bsouls that’s awesome!! yellowcat I’m right there with you. We just (I hope) finished with the lasteat night terror phase. Plus H is waking still and I know he doesn’t need to be fed. It’s draining to say the least.

Definitely not. Sleep is important for everyone including mom and Dad. I did the Ferber method with my first and it worked great! He is a really good sleeper. We started with H, but need to move his nursery out of out sitting room for it to really work.

M just woke up and was so pissed off. I tried giving her Tylenol thinking teeth and she just kept swatting my hand away with it and screamed like crazy. You would have thought i was trying to poison her. Anyone notice their babies even sound older? Like her new screaming is next level 😂

Anyone’s baby copy sounds and make your jaw drop like how did you just say that? My 8.5 month old copied me and said all done. She didn’t do the sign with it !! I was signing and speaking. (Which is a no-no 🤦🏻♀️) R’s not copying sounds that I notice. She doesn’t really have the hand control to sign yet, but “more” is obviously and easy one and the motion is distinguishable since she doesn’t clap yet. I’m mostly just doing more and all done, with a thank you thrown in there. With T I only did about ten signs, but now that I know those and I started earlier - I might try a few more.

You guys reminded me I should start signing with DD. DS had/has a speech delay and for a long time we relied on a lot of signing.
I’m doing a really crappy job of getting DD into a regular schedule, which probably plays into her 20-30 minute naps. I’m not doing well juggling 2 kids, partially bc DS is extremely attached to me and throws a lot of fits about me doing things for DD. It’s exhausting.

J hasn't been copying any sounds either that I've heard. My mom keeps telling me to sign to him and i know a lot of signs I just haven't done it, probably since I know DH won't and he's the primary caregiver. Oh well

Oh well With T, I was the only one signing “more.” H was home with her all day, but I did it when I fed her. Once she starting using it, then he was onboard - she was closer to a year, I think. It was much easier to get him to start using the other signs once he saw how helpful it was. It was also helpful once she knew words, but couldn’t speak when she was crying - she’d sign help or milk.

DH&I are leaving for the UK tomorrow, we have a wedding on Sunday. D. is going to stay with my mum and possibly also one or two nights at my dads, depending on how well/bad she sleeps and how my mum is doing since she's not been well again. 5 days 4 nights without my baby! What on earth was I thinking when I booked this trip?!!?? I know it'll be nice to be away but I already miss her and we're not even gone yet. I miss y'all!! Meh. So much is happening with our little ones right now, crawling, standing, teethies, etc, and I am missing all of your milestones and sharing mine. Ireally want to come back here but don't know how to incorporate it in my days.. still more or less just surviving (PPD sucks ass and I HATE hate hate hate it).. Anyway just popping by.. again! Maybe/hopefully I find some time while away to catch up!? ♥ Have a great trip!!! No worries, just chime in whenever you can. I am still dealing with PPA with the twins so I understand. You're missed and hope you are all well!

We had a first birthday party today and M did so good for not napping. She smiled up a storm and went on a swing for the first time and loved it! She learned how to wave a couple days ago and it’s basically the cutest thing ever 😍
