I’m heading to the mall to try and find some cute summer clothes. I really hope it doesn’t end in tears in a dirty change room 😜 pray for me lol

i'm so excited to get my hair cut on Sunday!!!! it really needs it SO bad. I need to do this too. I'm thinking cut and color because I just need to put some time and energy into myself, you know? Just for self esteem. I hope you love your new haircut! I agree! I was going to put it off until right before I go back to work, but I thought, with two wedding showers and a bachelorette party to go to in May, I'd rather feel like I like how I look! My ends are SO ratty. I decided against color though because I lost a fair bit of hair with DD1 around 4mo. I'm worried I'll spend the $ on color and it'll just all fall out!

This is 100% why I love the subscription boxes like Stitch Fix. I can try it all on at home. s/o Stitch Fix my box came today! It's usually a win but not this box. But I did like the one dress they sent - a LOT - I can pair it with a cardigan from Trunk Club. So I have to initiate my returns on both boxes.

Well good news, I just got a call back from a center that they have an opening starting May 14th!! We are going to tour it on Monday. I feel like we kind of fell into this because childcare in our area is such a hot commodity. A little relief going into the weekend. Still not sure what to say regarding the friend part. Pick up tonight should be interesting. I probably need to ask for a raise too because going from in home to a center is $$$$
Thanks everyone for the support!

stephne , does she watch any other kids but yours? It sounds like she shouldn't be running her own business if she wants to focus that much on her family. Nothing wrong with that, but to just keep increasing the days she is "closed" without warning isn't right. Yeah, she has 4 other families. Although only one of those families have a full timer. The rest are sporadic.
You took the words right out of my mouth! I just feel like I am not sure how we can go forward as friends because it is incredibly insulting. That's almost like a boyfriend breaking up with you and saying well I hope we can still be friends. yeahhh ok

DD had her physio consult this morning, and it went pretty well. We have some activities to do with her to reduce her time on her back, and we will be trying to reduce the time she spends in the car seat or other recumbent sleeping.
Our children's hospital doesn't use helmets for flat headed essential due to a lack of good scientific data to back it up. I was really pleased with that, since I wasn't finding much to support their use at her age. Hopefully once she's not on her head as much, the angle on the back will round out. We will continue seeing the physiotherapist every month for reassessment.

My baby is 4 months today! I can't believe it! And she rolled belly to back last night! She also was close on back to belly - got her whole body turned and her tummy down but her arm was stuck so she just rolled back. And she was up on the dot every 3 hours last night. It's not like she sleeps much more than that but sometimes gives me 3.5 hours. And since DH hasn't been helping me the past few weeks I am so tired. He better suck it up and help me tonight. Cannot believe she is 4 months! I’d set up the expectation before you go to bed that he is doing all the feedings or feeding before/after a certain time. I don’t want to be too opinionated about someone else’s parenting duty divide but since you posted it... you are both parents, you both work ( I’d still hv my H help overnight if I didn’t work but I think I’m in the minority on this) and your baby gets up a lot still. You two are in this together. If he says no or balks, I’d ask him why. I can’t think of a good reason unless he has medical reasons or that his job demands he sleep a certain amount of time uninterrupted. Good luck!! My husband helped me overnight while I was on maternity leave. I took the lead and did the majority but he definitely helped. I really appreciated it. I

I am live blogging now. Don't mind me. I am glad my first week back to work is done. Unfortunately, I need to travel for work 2 nights next week. I am going to miss my babies (and...I guess, my husband )

DH helps with each diaper change and then goes back to sleep while I feed him. He's only up for a few minutes this way but I really feel less alone.

I do not change diapers at night. I did for maybe the first 2 weeks since he was pooping throughout the night, but I stop changing them at night as soon as that stops.

My nephew just got his - his head was reallllly bad (not just flat but also extremely crooked with his ears noticeably uneven from it).

He is usually only up 1 time in the MOTN and he does still poop sometimes so we're in the habit of always changing at that wakeup. That is a great point...I think my FTM brain just assumed the diaper had to be changed at night. We could cut some of these changes out!

The physiotherapist said that they are much more common in the US than in Canada.

I stopped changing diapers MOTN at about 3-4 weeks. The diaper changes made her scream so unless I thought she pooped or she was soaking wet I just left it until the morning.
