I'm sorry joelies , it's good you recognize what's up, hopefully you can take some time for self care. Thanks vino. Usually running does wonders for my head, but right now I'm so freaked out about the race (in only 10 days) that it's only adding to my stress!!

Hello. I'm in desperate need of a Costco or BJ's trip but the city is cutting down 3 trees by my house and my car is parked way down the street. Don't want to have to haul my purchases that far. My house is a mess so I thought I could at least tackle that but the baby and puppy both want extra attention and both aren't sleeping in this noise.

At my desk now. They did our appointments together, but it still took 2 hours. Cadence is allergic to mold and dust. I also had him test her for tree nuts and eggs because she avoids them like the plague. She is in fact allergic to egg yolk....and coconut, which is weird. He said she will likely grow out of the food allergies, but since she is only 4 and showing reactions to mold and dust already, she will likely get more allergies as she gets older. Especially, since she is related to me, because I am allergic to.....everything. Well, everything except molds, which I thought was interesting because I thought that was the one thing I was allergic to. But yeah, every season has an allergy for me, all trees, grasses, weeds, dust, cats, dogs, everything. So I'll start taking allergy shots weekly and Cadence will be tested yearly so we can keep an eye on them. Anyone want some cats? JUST KIDDING! I've only ever reacted to outdoor cats, never indoor. Although, with LJ being longhair it might be a little different. I'll just keep her clean and well brushed. She's not going anywhere.

mamabear I'd go with the brown. I prefer for a deck to look as natural as possible, but that's me. I just spent the last hour trying to purchase Royals tickets for Fathers Day. Why is it so difficult? And why are the tickets so damn much when they suck so bad this season? Regardless, I have 5 tickets now. I was pretty particular because I wanted to be in shade since Evie is going with us.

klong11 Are you supposed to change C's medications at all? No, he said for her, to just continue the zyrtec as needed. He said with young kids it is hard to tell what is allergy related congestion and random virus related. So as needed should be fine and if it is something that starts getting worse, like say next year or the year after, then we would look at allergy shots. I asked about the drops and he said there are pros and cons. Pros being they aren't shots and you do it at home. Cons being, if you are allergic to a lot of things it is harder to get a non-diluted formula that will work and they aren't covered by any insurance so the cost would all be out of pocket. He said he has quite a few patients who do drops and then decide to go back to the shots because they just don't work as well.

tgrimes, I would just tell the dc what the dr told you and that if he doesn't have a fever then for them to just keep cleaning the fluid off.

How much Zyrtec do you give her? 5mL He said if I feel like it isn't helping he will write her a prescription for Singulair to take with it as needed. Oh and also for those with allergies, Claritin is apparently the weakest thing you can take so you should look at others like zyrtec and allegra. I've been taking Claritin.

mamabear Hmmm. I was initially leaning towards the brown BUT I googled "gray deck with gray siding" and saw several examples where the deck was done in a darker gray against light gray siding, and thought that looked really pretty. What about the railing (if there is any)? Will you do that in a contrasting color (I saw a lot of white, which looked really good) or same tone as the decking? eta: I just looked up "brown deck with gray siding" and saw some attractive options there, as well...so I guess I'm not as much help. It did seem that people were doing darker browns, though--more similar to what you have currently. So idk.

Sorry you're going to need shots, @klingoria11. I'm allergic to dust and basically every kind of plant, tree, grass and pollen and I had a fair amount of relief from Azelastine (sp?) spray, Zyrtec, and Singulair. I'd say you could send me your cats, but I'm allergic to those, too. Glad Evie did so well for the dentist, mwhip. Can she come to CA to show Dude how it's done?

C is down for a nap, hopefully for a while; poor girl, she's been such a crank lately and her hand has been in her mouth a lot this morning so I'm guessing teeth--I dosed her with tylenol and she passed out.
Meanwhile B has played with all 7,485,232 toys that we own and just keeps launching into new projects...this kid id going to love going to preschool 5 mornings/week next year.

Kept X home from school and I'm taking him to the pedi in a bit.
I put him in the stroller and P in the carrier for a walk and they both crashed so I'm sitting outside with them while they rest.

My local Buy Sell Trade page has "mid century modern" furniture advertised. A side-drop down crib for $80, a super old and ratty pink metal crib that looks like it belongs in a horror movie for $50. Also a "rattan lounge chair with metal base. Could use some caning or pillows." It's a tacky old chair that looks like it's meant for a sun room and "could use some caning?" Yeah, it looks like if you sat on it the already gaping holes there would go right through and your ass would hit the ground. I have love for antiques but these look like a few of the items they were able to convince the hoardee give away on an episode of Hoarders.

It was pouring rain this morning and C threw a fit because I wouldn’t leave our one umbrella with him at school. So annoying. I’m off today and plan to catch up on all things Golden State Killer and nap. I also wanted to run because today was supposed to be gorgeous but it’s soaking wet out. I heard on the radio it was an ex cop. Is that true? I haven't done any research yet... Enjoy your day off! Yep. It’s fascinating because I was just reading a book about the case and there was a docuseries the past few weeks we’ve been watching.

Have a good vacation nam2013! YH is right, let loose and enjoy yourself! Jealous of your day off wedding! Don’t be. I’m struggling with anxiety/depression so it’s just another day wallowing really. I took a long nap but still feel exhausted and irritable.

True to my neurotic tendencies, we were at the airport&trough customs a whopping 3hours10 minutes before our flight. I’m reading a magazine and sipping coffee . No bar in sight unfortunately.

My husband got home last night! He wasn’t not supposed to be in until almost midnight but he was able to switch his flights around and ‘surprise’ us. Except he can’t surprise me.... I acted surprised. I guess he hasn’t caught on to the fact that I can see where his phone is at at all times..... I’m not gonna tell him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Plus I was suspicious that he was doing it based on what he was saying so that’s why I checked.
We also just found out he has to go to Iraq for 60 days. Very soon. 🙄 Then he can come back and help us move and stay for a few weeks and then it’s back to Africa.
Anyway- as usual I’ll try to read every day when he’s here but my posts might not be very frequent.

mamabear If you are painting wood I would do the brown colour, something about the wood being gray feels 'off'. If you are looking at railings, the black look super sharp. ETA: we have a gray deck with black railings and LOVE it, but it's composite so totally different material.
