Good morning! So far, I've folded laundry and picked out outfits for going back to work next week (had to see what fit and looked decent). I also prepped dinner (sausage and pepper sheet pan meal) and made dairy free Rice Krispie treats!
I think V is ready to change up her naps. I waited a little longer today for her first one and she went down much easier so we'll see. Maybe we need a nap thread! I hear her stirring now so I have to get her soon but maybe I'll start one later.

Chance of rain here today too. (at least it's not snow!!) It's sort of the calm before the storm grading wise so I'm just trying to stay ahead of everything.
I realized that I really need to work on potty training instead of just having him do it at daycare. Ughhh...

It's sunny for the second straight day which has been unheard of around here. H took the day off to surprise DS1 since he's on spring break this week. They've made pancakes and are going fishing now. DS1 is so excited to get some daddy time.

Anyone else find that kids clothing sizes are completely random? DS is in 6 months some brands, 9 months other brands... I know he’s a big baby, but he’s 2 months old and I never know if I’m pulling out an outfit that will fit from day to day.

Same with Tea collection. While Gap and Old Navy I think are true to size. Gymboree I think runs slightly big. Boutique and Boden I think run big. I'm not sure why sizes are so all over the place for kids. I wish there was a standard size across the board.

I don't care if it means I go from a 14 to a 20, just make the sizes standard so I know what will fit me.

I don't really find that carter's runs small, but maybe that's because DD is more of a narrow/longer torso. She's in 3 month size at 10lbs 5oz with room to grow, and the tag says up to 12lbs. I find gymboree to run small though, since their clothes are wider and shorter bodied.

I find gap to run wide.

I'm probably comparing age to size when I say runs large or small. At 4m DD1 is in 6 or 9mo carters and 3/6mo Gap/ON/Boden. And DD1 goes up a size in Carters and Tea and wears her age size in Gap/ON/Boden.

Guys, I made Faith bleed when I was cutting her nails. I'm not sure who is crying harder. She was almost asleep while nursing so I was trimming her nails while she wasn't flailing around. She moved just as I clipped and SCREAMED... I did my best to soothe her but had to hand her off to DH to see if that would help. Him and a bottle has her mostly calm but I feel so guilty. I know it was an accident but please tell me that I'm not the first one to do this...

Hi! I have been so exhausted today that I haven’t felt chatty. I worked at until after 11 last night. MH had work early this morning so I had to get up with the baby. Tomorrow is my wedding anniversary. MH is taking off of work because I have a work meeting. I figured I may as well go in a few hours before that to get some work done since he will be home. I am hoping to be able to pick up my sister so she can watch the kiddos while MH and I go to dinner.

aprilz81 you aren’t the first to do it and you won’t be the last. I don’t use nail clippers until their older, typically I can just rip off loose nails that are hanging.

I had been doing that but they aren't ripping now (at least not often) and her nails are long enough to scratch us both. I was trying to prevent further damage. At least she is young enough that out of sight out of mind and she won't remember that I hurt her the next time she sees me. I got 4 fingers on one hand done, I still have the other hand to do now...

aprilz81, I did that with DD1. I cut a small amount of skin off and it bled. I felt awful but she was fine after a little while. It can happen to anyone, no matter how careful you try to be. Luckily I haven't done it to DD2 yet but I also don't cut her nails nearly as often as I did with DD1.

I clip nails pretty often because he likes to scratch himself. It makes you feel terrible but it happens. I think the more often I clip his nails now, the less it upsets me now. It’s sort of a get back on the horse when you fall off kind of thing.

She’ll calm down and forgive you, I promise ☺️ she loves you too much.

I accidentally made DD1 bleed while clipping her toe nails over a year ago (she was 1), and she STILL BRINGS IT UP. Apparently I will never live that down.

The baby just treated bedtime like a 25 minute nap. He was out cold in his crib until he sneezed. Now he is wide awake.

Yall I am very weak. I was DF for 2 days and we went out to eat and 🤦🏼♀️ Interesting to note that I had a very upset stomach by the time we got home. Hmmmmmm. I hate sounding like an experiment but . I'm interested to see if O is any worse tonight /tomorrow. I love Gap clothes for the girls. Especially pj's. They seem to run closest to size or a hair big. We wear a lot of Carter's, Gap, some Gymboree, and sarahh got me hooked on HA.

sunfrogger same for me the first time I ate cheese again when I reintroduced. I'm back off again, I guess it is best to reintroduce very gradually when it is time for me. Someone remind future me of that please.

Like i know I’m awful. Count me in on that prognosis. I’m the worst.
But I started to read one of those df groups on Fb and what they described their kids as was SO not what I’m going with O. So I started to get in my own head. am I just grasping for straws etc.

I forget who else here uses the love to dream swaddle..
I just got out our L bc O peed on the medium one. Honestly the L fits her just fine. So. Just invest in the larger sizes.

aprilz81, I remember clipping DD's when she was a baby. I definitely didn't cry though, I'm cold hearted I guess 😂. She'll be fine. When she was 6 MOS or so I started letting her watch curious George while I cut her nails to keep her still. She'll be 3 in June and still the only screen time she gets regularly is when I cut her nails. She begs me to do it, I've never seen a kid so excited to get her toenails clipped!
