Morning! J was a mess this am, clearly needs some attention and he got plenty of negative attention today😖. He told N's teachers that his mom is sick of him. flamingo brainstorming Maine for early September - is Bar Harbor a safe bet? I feel like it'd be touristy but kid friendly. Maybe a few days in Portland if we fly into there. The names of town there exhaust me for some reason and can't get my head around best places to be.

I’m so sorry dapostrophe. My heart hurts for you. Morning. We’ve had a busy morning so far. Got up early to go vote and then went to the walkins at ryland and Landon’s school. Landon school has officially closed for the walkout Thursday, until further notice. Rylands school is suppose to let us know today, but they are nowt showing a lot of support for the district and it’s dividing the community.

cagoldi I was just thinking about you, have the meds been working for your shingles? They're working beautifully, thankfully. I still have several days of meds left but they are much, much less painful and the blisters are almost gone.

My boss is a total... everything negative. He’s just such an idiot.
I’m working on some bids for a large project that will literally take days to finish. He admitted we probably won’t stand a chance on getting this but just to do it anyway. Seriously? And that’s on top of my day to day work. And I’m leaving at noon tomorrow for the rest of the week. I really dgaf about work anymore and everyone here is super frustrated with the boss. So it’s super enjoyable to be here..

Home stretch, chrisy01! The end is in sight. Aw, dapostrophe. That's so hard, I'm glad you both chose to be with him and even though it's difficult to do that, I hope it brings you peace to know he felt loved in his final moments. What a major PITA, guster. I hope it all works out. tgrimes how is H this morning?

Maybe a few days in Portland if we fly into there. The names of town there exhaust me for some reason and can't get my head around best places to be. Yes, Bar Harbor is definitely more touristy than some other areas but it's enjoyable, and of course Acadia National Park is there, which really is incredible. September is a good time to go, July and August are peak tourist months up there but September typically has great weather and everything is just less crowded; airfare usually drops, too. At Acadia, I'd make reservations for lunch at Jordan Pond House, and get the popovers! You can do whale-watching tours out of BH, which are fun. From Portland you could get to Booth Bay, where the Coastal Maine botanical gardens are, and they are beautiful...definitely worth the trip. Booth Bay is a very pretty area, too. My parents are in Camden, so that is an area I'm partial too, if y'all wanted to explore more. Camden/Rockport/Rockland is a nice stretch, straight up US1 from Portland, about 80 miles or so, and all on the ocean. Beautiful towns, a range of accommodations. Less touristy than BH...still very friendly to visitors but you don't have the t-shirt shops, etc. you see in BH. Maybe a more well-heeled tourist? ha. If you want more info on those places let me know.

I have an allergist appt scheduled for next Wednesday. H has to stop taking zyrtec for 7 days before the appt. This is where we're at. Our appt is this Thursday. Cadence looked so gross yesterday when I picked her up. So much snot.

I know we have a lot of Texans here. Anyone near Dallas? MH has a trip there this summer and I’m thinking about taking the kids. We’d be there basically solo for a few days then when he’s done drive as a family down to Austin

We went to the Garden Conservatory in the city to see the Butterfly Show. Then we went further into the city to ride the big giant Carousel. Now we're eating lunch at this great pizza place before I pray for car naps. I have some work to do while they nap.

flamingo awesome tips!! Maybe we should do Camden and some BH since we def want to do Arcadia.. I am overwhelmed with where to go, but feel like we have to take advantage of N flying free and our last year before on a school schedule and can take advantage of shoulder seasons. We had thought of Maine for July but got overwhelmed, but now it's the front runner with Sep being a solid option. Thank you! I'm sure I'll have more questions if/when we book!

Yeah, of course--happy to help My parents actually say September is their favorite time up there b/c it's easier to get into restaurants, etc., plus you still get the beautiful weather. I think y'all will enjoy it if you do end up making the trip!

I look like I got filler put in it. It was pretty sore right away this morning but I took ibuprofen so it’s ok now (as long as no one or nothing bumps it).

Hey. We went to sky zone this morning to use up some energy. They put in a climbing wall and H was obsessed. S just ran from tramp to tramp on the main court. Now we’re home for lunch and then I will take H to school. I think S and I may take a nap together when we get back because I’m tired.

I had a grumpy start to my day with my boss being a dick. He never even thanked me when I took on all the extra work from last week when half the team was out of the office but then was being an ass about something very petty. He later apologized which made him slightly redeemed.
We had a good weekend. Now back to the grind. Meh. I went on a purge yesterday and got a whole giant bag worth of stuff out of Cass' room yesterday. Today I plan to send Maddie to the park so I can do the same with her room.

I'm hiding in my office.
Some sales rep 'friended' me on LinkedIn and called this morning to set up an appointment for this afternoon. I never called him back. He just showed up and is in our waiting area, waiting on me to get back from lunch. Our receptionist asked him if he had an appointment, because she didn't know how long I would be and he said 'no, but that's why i brought my tablet.' Wut?
I told her to tell him I took my kid to the doctor and she didn't know when I would return. She just sent me a fake text to see when I would return, I told her I didn't know, I may work from home this afternoon since I have no appointments. I hope he leaves soon...it's like I'm a prisoner in my own company!
