@grumpychat @gentleapricot I just got a Traverse and love it. Obviously not as high end as some of the options you’ve listed but maybe worth checking out! I was in a Terrain before and I feel like this is bigger and a better size for me without being overwhelming. I also looked at the Acadia but it seemed kind of narrow.

I thought it was just romaine lettuce that has ecoli? When I went to the grocery store they didn’t even have iceberg out. I really wanted fucking salad today. I want a blt, but same problem.

I’m currently drinking a Jeep Grand Cherokee and love it. I’m going to try my best to get through the year with it, but by this time next year I’ll be in a traverse. I love my mom’s 2011, and the new body style pushed me over the top to not even want to look at anything else.

I am all over the place. Lol Am willing to look at BMW, if I lease. Otherwise, they are out. Lexus and Subaru are out bc those are the official cars of CO. Drove a Kia Niro, which is their new hybrid SUV. I don’t love it, but 45 mpg sounds amazing. Love the Tahoe, but I don’t need that much car. The Mercedes dealer is right down the street from me, but they talked very down to me, so I think they’re also out. I agree about the BMW. That’s exactly where I’m at. I felt the same way about the Tahoe. Size wise I’m having a hard time finding something in the middle that I like, but the Jeep Grand Cherokee really checks that box. The interior isn’t great and it’s not highly rated so I’m still kinda on the fence. I like the Altitude. Have you looked at the Volvo’s? The XC90 and XC60 are very nice. These have made it on my list. I think the XC90 may be to big for me though. There as a cute XC40 at the car show last week too. I like volvos but the maintenance cost is fairly high IMO. I like the look of the new explorer too but the reviews say other choices are better all around. If you're looking at higher end crossovers, what about a Land Rover Evoque?

Do you think those are bigger than the new Cherokees? They look kinda on the bigger side.

The stylist did tell me that I’m wearing my tops too big and if I’m not comfortable in jeans it’s ok. Lol

My older boys are amusing themselves by cutting up old grocery flyers and gluing the pieces to paper. C’s is pretty creative. “This is so fun,”
Ok then.

Do you think those are bigger than the new Cherokees? They look kinda on the bigger side. They are bigger (there is a third row), but not nearly as big as the Tahoe. Also better cargo space than a Tahoe when the third row is up and better than my Jeep when the third row is down. The sizes feel similar when driving to me, but there is a difference. The Tahoe feels like driving a truck, the traverse isn’t like that. ETA, I’m comparing a 2011 traverse to a 2015 Grand Cherokee, so not new to new.

I woke up this morning to the 5 y.o. sitting on the floor, next to the bed. I have no idea how long he had been there, but he claimed to have seen the sun come up from the floor of our room. I see an afternoon nap in his future.

I may also be very easy to please because I’ve only had one car that I really hated. I didn’t pick it out though, so maybe I’m just good at knowing what I like 🤷♀️

Anybody do anything fancy to their corn on the cob? I need flavor. You could roast it and put out the toppings like at street fairs? Mayo, paprika, chili powder, parmesan and I think lemon are what I have seen.

I also sat in the Mercedes GLC at the show. Also pretty and similar price range. Too small for my current purposes but might be in the size you're looking for.

I usually don’t comment on the spouses but yours is a certain type of douche bag that I’m unable to keep my mouth shut about anymore. Point taken.

GLC is on my list but my dad said they are to small. I have the Audi Q7 and love it, though it is pricey to maintain. It's a mid-large SUV but drives so easily.

I thought I was a genius. I made a cinnamon coffee cake this morning and let it cool while I ran to the grocery.
Except I ended up starving at the store and bought more than I intended.

A neighbor is installing a little water feature/fountain in the front yard. The fountain’s delivery was delayed so they put a toilet in to test the plumbing and confirm everything is working. So we have a lighted toilet fountain down the street. It’s kinda fabulous.

Anybody do anything fancy to their corn on the cob? I need flavor. Just catching up now. I use this recipe for the corn on the cob part: www.blueapron.com/recipes/spicy-pan-fried-chicken-with-corn-on-the-cob-tomato-saladMake a garlic paste, combine with butter, rub garlic butter all over, drizzle water on cobs, season w salt and pepper, and cook in oven. I’m sure you can grill instead of oven. It’s a garlic buttery heaven in your mouth.

I’m annoyed that h had 5 hours without the kids yesterday and is scrambling to do chores today, also without kids.
I mean, couldn’t you have repotted the plants and unloaded the dishwasher in between video games or tv shows?
I’m probably just annoyed because I can’t have five hours of kid free time. (Baby won’t take a bottle yet)

I'm sitting in a hipster coffee shop waiting for my English student and I have never felt more uncool in my life.
