I’m trying to watch baseball and I can’t get he Apple TV to connect to the tv. I knocked it off the dresser a few days ago and haven’t used it since. I think I broke it. MH will not be pleased.

What were some things she loved? Reading, coffee, crafting, traveling. For her birthday, I get a coffee, go to her favorite used book store, and spend a long time browsing/reading. I buy a few books I think she would have liked. I’d like to include my kids in something tomorrow. Maybe a museum? Maybe I’m putting too much pressure on myself. You could help your kids donate some books in her memory to pass her love of reading along. Don’t do anything that feels forced. ❤️

It's probably after the city actually right? possibly. but they have to be FROM Wisconsin also- 1. to have ever heard of Sheboygan, and 2 that last name. German Midwesterners, no doubt

German Midwesterners, no doubt I am not from anywhere near Wisconsin and I have heard of Sheboygan. If you'd asked me yesterday though I might not have guessed it was in Wisconsin

rubysue, my mom used to talk about how once a year my grandmother would make pancakes and they would have a picnic dinner on the floor and play a game. It was very out of the ordinary and memorable and my mom and all or her siblings loved it. My grandmother said (much later) that her mother loved pancakes and games....and so she was sharing those parts of her mother with her children. Your bookstore ritual reminded me of that. Big hugs. She sounds like she was wonderful.

rubysue❤❤ I'm sure she'd want you to do something that makes you happy. This. Whatever feels right to you would mean the world to her, I'm sure. I'm sending you hugs and love.

I know Sheboygan because John Candy mentions it in Home Alone when he's introducing himself to Kevins Mom in the airport before offering her a ride
yes, I have a habit of memorizing random minor things about lots of movies

In light of this, I'd take them to one of those places where you paint pottery. Tell them stories about her and suggest that they paint something they think she would like. Kids are intuitive--they might come up with surprisingly good ideas. And even if they don't "get" it, it's still a fun, hands on, creative activity

Sometimes I really wish that I had my own little apartment somewhere close but not too close, that was quiet and peaceful and not filled with other people's crap. Not to stay at all the time, but just to have it to go to on occasion to be alone.
I'm just constantly peopled out these days.

DD just got her last dose of steroids for croup. She has been very extra the last few days because of them, especially regarding sleep. I’m so ready to go back to normal.

Yes. Please. Need. Drink. Now. Work was just... Woof. I'm exhausted. But also feel like I need to get some tension out so imma hit the spin bike in a few. I still have to work tomorrow which is dumb. I am kind of stressed about it because there is usually way more work than one person can do in 8 hours. I'm prepared to work OT but doing that on a Saturday is the worst. Also CFA gave me regular nuggets instead of grilled and I didn't notice till I was home and hooked up to the pump. Oh well. You've earned those breaded nuggets! Oh I ate all of them, lol.

My kid lost his first tooth today! It was loose for one day. One. And some older kid pulled it out for him, lol. My sister got in trouble once as a kid for pulling out another kid's tooth

I need a drink because the 2 bedroom (jack and Jill bathroom) + den w/double garage and tiny side yard we liked was $595k....
And I thought to myself "that's a great deal!"
And then a louder voice in my head shouted "what has become of you?! What is this madness?!"
But really that does seem like an excellent deal.

There is this one poster in the Midwest who seems like a real shifty person you should watch out for. Likes business crocs and cookies in tubs.
