I have one today too. Depending on what time I can pick up S from daycare, she sometimes gets a snack to bring home with her like a cup of goldfish or an oatmeal cookie. The teacher always asks me if it’s okay, and I say “yea, no problem”. As soon as she gets buckled into her seat, I ask for her snack (she gives it to me no problem) and then I eat it. BUT, I have reasons. 1) She’d just make a mess and throw the goldfish everywhere if I let her keep it. 2) It ruins her dinner. FTR, I’ve stopped doing this. I was midway through her cup of goldfish one day and I looked myself in the mirror and said “GP, put the goldfish down.” I just decline the take home snack now. I'm impressed that you are successfully able to take a cookie away from your child. Mine is way to much into resource guarding for that to ever happen. She wants to share *all* of her food with me.

This just taught me that it's the yellow flower & then the fuzz. I thought it was the other way around... Whatever. At least I knew they were both dandelions. But for some reason, I've always noticed the "make a wish" dandelions, then the yellow ones, so I assumed that it went fuzz then flower. But, I'm also in the winter that will not end, so we don't even have dandelions yet.

On Wednesday, I learned that Dandelions are both the fug yellow flowers in my front yard AND the weed things that you blow into the wind. Legit had no clue that the yellow turns into the blowy things. My mind was blown. It was a true TIL moment. I...also did not realize this. I also did not know this

Yellow. Motherfucking. Flowers. You must have known that wasn’t their official name. Well probably not the motherfucking part. Realistically I know the name of like...roses and tulips and carnations and peonies. Beyond that flowers are just flowers.

I feel the people who thought they went blowy->yellow should be just as embarrassed as me.
As soon as I found out they’re the same I knew it was obviously yellow to blowy and the whole world kind of made sense.
Just saying.
