Good morning! I’m so tired. 10 minutes of sleep is just not enough. G is just about ready for school. I just have to get shoes and jackets on both of us. The bus won’t be here for another 20 minutes so I am in no rush. After MH gets home at 7:30, I have to go to work. I have no idea how I am going to manage. I won’t get to work until around 8 and then get home around midnight. Coffee is necessary today.

Ugh marygracerich I’m so sorry. I’m so tired after our shitty night’s sleep, I can’t imagine how you function on no sleep at all.

Good morning! I'm sad b/c DH usually works from home on Fridays but they are in the middle of a big project and he had to go in today. Next Friday is my last one home on maternity leave and he might have to go in then too. We've been doing lunches out on Fridays with the baby which is nice. We don't really get time without the toddler much otherwise.

Goooood morning! We’re in a hotel near the campus of H’s undergrad. He and his college friends do a yearly reunion, so we drove the 5 hours out yesterday. Not a super fun ride with a baby who hates being in the car, but we survived.
Then last night I must have gotten up 8 times between toddler and baby. 🙄 Sounds like they both have a cold now. Whhhhyyyy.

Good morning! My parents are here because DH is a groomsman in a wedding this weekend so they’re babysitting. I have MOPS this morning and they’ll stay home with Baby so I don’t have to wear him during the meeting. Then we have the rehearsal dinner tonight. Excited to be out and have some drinks!!

Wow bassa, 5 hours! We are making the 2 hour drive to see the ILs on Sunday just for the day and I'm not looking forward to 4 hours in the car in one day, but that is split into 2 trips to go there and come back. I doubt V can make it all the way without nursing so I'm sure we'll be stopping at some point both coming and going. Nothing like nursing in the car in a gas station parking lot.

marygracerich, sorry about your lack of sleep. And it isn't just that you had a shitty night last night, it is cumulative over so many nights. Ugh. Do you have any luck with naps? (your own, not the kids!)

We have some errands to run once baby wakes up. I had gone back on dairy and she was having some crappy nights and lots of grunts and moans in the early morning lighter sleep phase. I went back off dairy for a couple of days and yep, no more grunting this morning. And she is still sleeping. Looks like it is back to the Ben and Jerry's non dairy dessert and Oreos for me.
It was a good run for a few days, dairy. I'll see you again in a few weeks or months when we try again.

(your own, not the kids!) I have been an insomniac since I was little. Most of the women in my family are. My problem isn’t always falling asleep, it’s usually staying asleep that causes the trouble. I am a champion napper but I usually don’t have opportunity. Yesterday I caught a half hour nap which was lovely. There is 0 chance I will get that lucky again today. The baby is currently sleeping and G is on her way to school so I am going to attempt a quick nap now.

I'll just keep posting over here. I got off track in my last post when I mentioned dairy! So this morning, we have to drop off paperwork for V's baptism and then go to Lowe's. We need covers for some holes in our kitchen counter by the sink (we aren't using the sprayer or soap dispenser holes) and I want to get some hooks to organize our entry area from the garage. I also want to go to Target. We'll see how V naps while we are out and about and we'll either go there too or I'll wait until the afternoon or next week. Yoga on the agenda for my workout today. I did my first run with both kids in the double yesterday. I ran to pick up DS from day care, so 2 miles with just baby and then 2 miles home with both in there. Whoa that is intense. I feel like I'm going to get pretty strong running with that thing. I love having the freedom to be able to run when I want to with both kids!

marygracerich, I've never been a good sleeper either, but not up to that caliber. I remember when I was young, I would wake up so much earlier than the rest of the family that I could watch a whole movie before anyone else got up or read a whole Babysitter's Club book!

In college and high school I would go two and three days with 0 sleep. It’s so unhealthy but nothing has helped. For me it wasn’t that I got up so much earlier but I wouldn’t fall asleep at all or for a very very short period of time. I also get sleep paralysis which is rare but happens. That started when I was around 8 years old.

I took a nap. I lasted about 15 minutes. The baby woke up at that point. Hopefully he will nap when G naps later. I just fed the baby. Now we are hanging out until G gets home or he falls asleep again.

Morning!
I have a dr appt at 9:30 in the city, so I’m making my first solo city trip with all 3! Ak! If all is well I think I’ll take them to the indoor playground after because they’ll be contained and it can be something fun to do. I’m feeling much more brave about this today because it will be the first time we won’t be doing the whole winter wear circus getting in and out of vehicles, and actually pleasant to walk around! Wahoo!
It’s a friend’s birthday soon, so another friend is hosting a girls night tonight at her farm so I think I’ll pop over there for a bit tonight!
Have a good one everyone!

I only do it with her in her infant seat and I did consult with our ped when DS was born. We have adapters to pop our Keyfit into the single and double.

What a morning... Today is my last day of covering for my coworker thank goodness, her work is killing me.
But... Faith slept from midnight until 7:00 this morning! I think she is getting a cold (runny nose and congestion) so I had her sleep in the RnP by our bed. I expected a horrible night with lots of wakeups (like the last two nights in her crib) but I was so wrong!
I have all of her stuff packed for our trip to the inlaws, DH and I still need to get our stuff together but that won't take too long. We are hoping to leave between 4-5 but that depends on how the rest of my work day goes and her nap and feeding schedule. She is asleep now and has been for about an hour or so. It is just over a 2 hour drive and I'm hoping to make the whole trip without stopping to feed her.

G didn’t nap. That means I didn’t nap. I’m so tired. I would put on a movie and doze while she sits next to me but that baby is up. Ugh I am so tired.

I am dreading the roadtrip we are taking next month to visit my inlaws. Normally it takes 6-7 hours due to traffic and the amount of stops we need to do for the 4 year old (she isn't a good traveler). I am hoping it won't be too much worse with the baby.

DS had his 2 month appt today. He’s big, took his vaccines well, and is currently sleeping. His big brother basically slept for twenty four hours after every vaccine appt with occasional quick meals, so I’m hoping he follows suit.
I love my pedi, but the rooms have connecting doors and you can easily hear what is happening next door. It was awkward today because the baby next door is not gaining weight. Mom was upset and crying and the pedi was comforting her and talking her through supplementing with formula. I could hear every single word. I didn’t want to listen to her personal medical information but I would have had to literally put DS down and put my fingers in my ears. They must know it’s easy to hear...

While baby is nursing she repeatedly rubs/scratches the side of her head and ear. I have to hold her arm down. It’s obnoxious.

She'll hold her sippy with her left hand and rub her head with her right hand. My sister says she's self soothing. If you're holding her and she can't rub her head she'll rub yours. It's cute, but something I wasn't accustomed to seeing.

As I gently move her arm from between us. We nurse in cradle.

Hi guys! I’ve been MIA, life has been really crazy here the last few weeks due to H’s job. We’re doing well & the babies are awesome! DD is being a little psycho but DS is the best little sleeper & sweetest ever so he makes up for it. Can’t believe he’s 3 months already 😭😭
