MH is in a 10day streak of work till late next week ugh so tis going to be a really boring weekend for me. I haven't been out of the house since last Friday boo (apart from in the garden though we have had sucky wet stormy weather this week so these past days I really been stuck inside 😐) and unless my mum is able to visit me this isn't gonne change anytime soon. Can't wait for this damn ankle to heal!! 2 weeks down 5 more to go lol. Yeah I do feel a little sorry for myself at times 😂
Any netflix suggestions?? Or good movies (pref also on Netflix hah).

I'm sorry muscari that really stinks you are stuck inside all the time. Have you seen Master of None on Netflix? The second season just came out and I loved the first but haven't seen the second yet... It's my weekend to work 👎🏼 We have errands to do all morning then nap in the afternoon and then work 12h tonight. It's supposed to be in the 90s this weekend! I'll miss most of it, luckily, bc I'll be working but ooof! In other exciting news, we bought a new (to us) car on Wednesday! A 2014 CRV and I am so in love with it! It was exhausting and the car salesman we had to work with was one of the worst human beings I've ever met (if 90% of what you say starts with "I shouldn't say this but....) and I really wanted to punch him in the face (just so racist and sexist and classist). But it's over and we have a shiny new car!! I think I'm starting to feel the urge to nest but I can't because we have nothing in the babies room for me to fix up! We need to go buy stuff to start setting it up and we're running out of time- my DH starts his job orientation next Thursday and I only have one day off between now and then. 😕 I think it doesn't help that at my appt yesterday my Dr. Talked in depth about a birth plan and "the end", etc so I feel like time is moving so much faster than I expected!!

T has transferred to her big girl room. We still need to buy a rug and stuff for the walls. First night she woke up before 6am and came upstairs. This morning she woke up around 7am and stayed in her bed until I got her. So, the transition seems to have gone well. I might pull out and wash baby clothes this weekend, but there is still plenty of time so I'll probably procrastinate.
I feel like a week off of work went too fast and I'm dreading going back Monday. I hope this weekend goes slow.

I'm so sorry muscari! Being stuck inside when you don't want to be stinks! Isn't Orange is the New Black on netflix? We were watching that but haven't watched the last couple of seasons. Tonight, H and I are going to see Wonder Woman. The theater is dine in with big comfy leather recliners, so it's right up my alley! Tomorrow, we're having some friends over for pool time and grilling. On Sunday, I may see if we're up for doing the hospital tour. The bad thing is that it's right in the middle of DD's nap time, so not sure if timing will work for us. I'd like to work on some sewing projects to finish up the nursery, but not sure I'll be up for sitting too long due to this SPD issue I've got going on. We'll see... Oh, and I've gotta make sure the house is cleaned because I'm hosting a moms night out on Monday. It's a bachelorette watch party with a bunch of moms from a local facebook moms group and I haven't meet most of them IRL, so it'll be interesting to see how that turns out!

Never heard of that show before addymac, but I looked it up and yes both seasons are available on the D.utch Netflix as well! Added to my list and will check it out this weekend - thanks for the tip! Boo @ working 12h shifts this weekend (soooo long!) but yay for missing out on the heat some because of it? And ohh awesome, congratz on the new car! MH & I have been checking out new cars as well these previous months, but now that I will be a SAHM for the foreseable future we've put it on the backburner as we won't really need a second car atm. Our current corolla is an oldie (2007) but still makes us happy and should be big enough to fit baby and additional stuff as well heh:) Tho I'll be0 honest and say I'm a teeny bit disappointed we aren't getting our new (to us, we were gonne buy a 2014or 2015 model) Auris hybrid stationwagon now haha. Maybe one day.. I feel you on having the urge to nest but not being able to..It's currently frustrating the heck out of me and I try to keep from panicking but sometimes.. URGH!

I just hope I'll be back on my feet a bit quicker then expected.. really have to take things one day, one week at a time cause thinking of this modified bedrest/being stuck in bed or a (wheel)chair for another 5 weeks makes me really uphappy and crazy in my head LOL! Wish I could come join you for some pool time and grilling! Sounds fab! And yup OITNB is also available here on Netflix! I have seen S1-3 but still need to catch up on S4.. and well now also S5. I'm just not in the mood for that show it seems. Also have House of Cards to watch (only seen S1) and Homeland (started on S2) but those also just don't sound appealing to me atm LOL. FFFC... I may pick up The Vampire Dairies from where I left off x years ago. Mindless silly show, perfect to watch right now I think LOL?! Are you delivering in a different hopsital then where you had DD? Just curious! I hope the hospital tour works out. Sucks, there's one at ours on the 20th and that's the last oppertunity before my duedate.. but with my ankle and all I'm just not sure I will be able to make it Maybe I'll be cheeky and arrange something with the nurses.. After all I'm a (ex-)collegue (though no one needs to know that there just yet LOL officially I'm still on the payroll ) and have a good excuse with the broken ankle and what not

My husband is going to be away for 5 days so I get some alone time. Which I am looking forward to. Yesterday I had BH. That was a little nerve wracking. No early baby when husband is away ok? Ok. Great thanks 👌🏻 Enjoy your alone time girl! I hope the BH will stay away. Even though I know they aren't necessarily anything to worry about I do find it anxiety inducing as well when they come more then occasionally. Have you discussed with your OB/gyn what to do when you have them? This helped me feel less anxious about them. That said, I don't like them either.. Especially after my fall, when they came every 10 minutes I really did start freaking out - was so glad I was already at the hospital in the ER. They were already double checking things with the MFM when the BHs picked up and I was transfered to L&D after I got my cast. Not fun but definitely a relief and as odd as it may sound the check up was sort of neat too as I got to hear the babies hb for 45 minutes in a row during the NST and I got to see her on U/S as well.

muscari it only happened yesterday and I just sat down and took a break and it helped... eventually. New season of supernatural on Netflix! Watching now When I start getting a few BH close together I take a break from whatever I'm doing and relax for a bit... that seems to make them stop almost immediately, luckily. But I totally get the panic. When they start and I have more than 1-2, I get nervous and start spiraling but then they go away and I'm like well okay just kidding!!

Yeah me too tho at work that wasnt always possible. I took them as a sign to take it easier and resting usually worked well Lately I have been getting them at random even while spending most if my days in bed or sitting down... which puzzles me tbh. But as long as they stop before too long I don't panic.. just find them annoying and feel sorry for the babe. I do time them tho as per direction of the MFM and have to put in a call if there are more then 5-6 an hour or if they are like less then 10mins apart. Luckily the couple of times they were that bad it stopped just in time phew (cept the one time the day I broke my ankle bit luckily I was already at the ER so was easily transfered to L&D heh). Oh i think I wrote that already!

Argh I failed my 1 hr glucose test with a 142. I can't help but wonder if it's because I had a stomach virus all week and subsisted on bananas, saltines, and Gatorade. They also didn't tell me to fast. However, I guess I'd rather fail close to the cutoff (139 for my Dr) than pass with a 138 bc then I'd worry and worry that I actually had it. I guess I'll have the 3hr test sometime this week.

thinkchocolate05 I failed my 1 hour with that same number! I passed the 3 hr though but my midwife told me to eat a low carb diet for the rest of the pregnancy. I though I was doing a good job with only gaining 4 lbs. But I don't eat sugar, so I think my body just freaked out.

I'd be constantly worried if I was keeping my carbs were low enough. Did they give you a specific diet or just told you to be careful? Good luck! Gaining 4 lbs is amazing--I've gained like 25.

She just said to eat protein with carbs and stick to low carb. I was surprised too, but I think they are just being cautious. I will see Thursday what the office scale says. With it being so hot I feel like I'm going to start putting on water weight.

H thinks it's stupid, so I turn it on when he's not around. I am delivering in a different hospital. We live about an hour from where we were when I had my daughter. Even if we lived closer, I wouldn't want to deliver there again. It was a terrible experience, particularly with the staff. There was one nurse that yelled at me for chewing ice.

mrshall1027 MH rolls his eyes at VD as well but I actually quite enjoyed the first seasons back when. I lost track in S4 or S5 I think - it has been fun to catch up on some episodes tho. And def like it better then OITNB right now. I have to finish the previous season still but what I read so far on the nee season hasnt been too positive?? I am sorry to hear your experience with the other hospital has been so sucky. Hopefully the new hospital will be able to provide a much more positive birth experience for you!!

I was bummed for the 3 hour, but like you said I rather fail close to the cut off. I did pass both my 3 hours so that was good. I was also told to just eat good carbs.. 😳 Also, I just found out about this but I think some doctor offices have a different kind of test. Basically you fast and get your finger pricked. You find results out instantly. I don't know much about this method, but I hated the 3 hour so I wish I would have known about this.

cwbh928 now good carbs sounds better then low carbs. For a week I checked everything I ate and just about had a heart attack when I read that an apple has 46 g of carbs in it!

I have the 3 hr tomorrow morning and am dreading it. Plus, the lab told me I can't drink any water after I drink the glucola (my Dr said it varies by lab). So worried I'm going to puke and then have to reschedule. I'm fasting 12 hrs and that will definitely make me queasy.
