And it’s a musical episode. I’m going to hate it.

I like musical episodes 😬 Buffy "Once More with Feeling" was lifeee
That said, I've never seen Carrie and I'm basically afraid of Stephen King so i hope the music is at least catchy.

I'm not caught up yet, but didn't we learn this a few episodes ago? When Betty confronted him about the blood test.

Still think he's the black hood, too.

Once More With Feeling is the only musical episode that has ever worked in the history of television*. It worked because it was within the absurd theme of the show, they didn't try to make everyone sound amazing, they poked fun at the fact that they were singing through the whole thing, and Joss Whedon is a delightful genius. *Excluding shows that are meant to be musicals, like Galavant or Glee (which is sort of musical-adjacent).

This entire episode has me cringing. I've been cringing since it started. Oh my god this is awful.
I mean, I was already cringing at how much singing there was in this show to begin with, so this is... a lot.
I love musicals. I do a six hour drive every year with nothing but musicals on my playlist. I just can't do this bullshit.

That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. But it was pretty bad.
I am very very surprised at the ending. I think Chic is a red herring for the return of the Black Hood, or the copycat Black Hood or whoever tf this is. I am curious what Moose was so pissed about though.

Yes, that's the difference. This episode, everyone was taking themselves way too seriously. And too much "character development" during the singing. Quotations because these characters are so shallow any development at all puts them as deep as a parking lot puddle. I just hate when everything is so convenient and wrapped up with a little bow on top. Like Cheryl and Josie sing for 20 seconds and they're BFFs again, and Alice's singing weirdness with Betty which turns into weirdness all around (as in, Hal came back because of Betty, Chic showed up because of Betty after all the shit she did to make him gone).

What high school production would allow a straight up lap dance to occur. Also, we get it, Veronica has a great, curvy shape. She has exactly one, hip swaying signature move.
