sunfrogger I tried the baby magic tea out of desperation and it seems to have helped quite a bit. She’s not sleeping through the night but has been giving a 5-6 hour and then a 2-3. I have been drinking it 3 times a day. I mix it with black tea because I couldn’t handle it on its own, but I don’t mind it at all now. I have always been a tea drinker though and don’t like coffee.

I don't even know what the problem is anymore. We had a ton of spit up. That's gone mostly but our sleep has been worse. She's finally asleep - has been for an hour and a half - on the rocker with me. But I need to put her down to shower and stuff. Can I insert a routine? Should I really move her to the crib this early? I'm afraid of silent spit up being flat. But since holding her upright we've had maybe 1 spit up at night episode and I think that's from me not judging the time right in a sleep stupor. I was planning to move her at 3mo or even 2.5mo which I guess isn't that far away anymore. Since I go back to work at the end of May. DD has been in her crib since we came home from the hospital. We have a wedge under the mattress to elevate her head a bit due to the spit up. It also helps with congestion if baby has a cold. www.amazon.ca/Jolly-Jumper-711-Crib-Wedge/dp/B000OK6AUU?th=1&psc=1&source=googleshopping&locale=en-CA&tag=googcana-20&ref=pd_sl_7sajgyifdo_e

sunfrogger, I don't know if Merlin will work in the rnp or not. I'm a big fan of flat night sleep. J was in the Halo bassinet and now that he's outgrown that he's in the PNP next to my bed. I had DD in her crib from 3 weeks but I slept in an extra bed in her room until she was 3 mos. We moved and now have a huge bedroom so we will keep the PNP in there probably until the SIDs risk drops around 4-6 mos. Or until it becomes inconvenient. If I didn't have the space I would have moved him already.

Speaking of having baby in the bedroom, how is that effecting DTD? We haven't figured that out yet.

We moved out of the halo last week into a Chicco travel bassinet which we like so far.

sparky85 how are things going w the Prevacid? Did they mix it for you at the pharmacy or are you compounding it at home? We got this yesterday (compounded at pharmacy). Could be a coincidence but she had awful gas all day after hving the medicine. Day sleep as even worse. I googled this and found lots of side effects of gas and insomnia WTF! Have you experienced this? I have a message into my dr. FWIW, DS1 was on Prilosec and had no issues.when I looked up Prevacid, Prilosec has the same side effects. The prevacid is going well, we get it compounds at the pharmacy. We definitely had gas and sleep issues in the beginning. The sleep was so bad I was considering stopping a few times, but decided to stick it out for at least 2 weeks. Now that we add 2.5 weeks in, the sleep is improving and so is the gas. The worst of the side effects seem to be settled down. One thing I've found is to try to give DD the medication about 2 hrs after a feed, and at least 30 mins before a feed. This can be tricky to do, but we have occasionally given it to her while she's still in bed, and she will sometimes drift back off for the 30 mins that it needs to take effect.

DD has bulked up to 9 lbs 15 oz at 9 weeks adjusted. The prevacid is helping her so much with being able to eat her fill without the pain. Here is a picture of her with her giant hairband flower, and one of her playing this morning: And one of DS having us play hangman at supper last night:

You've already gotten good advice sunfrogger, I just wanted to say hugs! DS has his first cold so we have an appointment this afternoon for a check up. I'm so paranoid about RSV after seeing how serious it can get so I'm nervous! He has been so snuggly though! And smiley. And a pic of his first zoo trip on Saturday!

Same old same old here. Just another day of managing a toddler, running all over the country for daycare, pumping, working etc. Makes me appreciate mg snuggle time even more, especially when it can be enjoyed with a good glass of wine. Here is C (2 months on the 12th)

sunfrogger, if you wanted to try putting her in her crib, you could get one of those wedges and put it under the crib mattress so she’s on somewhat of an incline. I bought one when DD1 got sick as a baby and it worked wonders with congestion and I bet it would help with spit up. Or, a few towels will do the trick, too. I totally get not wanting to move her to her crib just yet with everything going on. I bought a swaddle up for DD2 and the thing is absolute magic. It was $30 from Target, but you can’t really put a price on sleep, right?! DD2 usually sleeps in her crib, but the last couple of nights, she’s slept in the RNP to avoid us getting up 7582028 times to put a paci back in. 🙄 And, when she is tired, I put her in this thing and she is immediately calmed down and passes right out. Normally.

Happy Hump Day! I am WFH and had DD2 2 month checkup and 4 shots. She’s been sleeping on and off since 10am which has been great for me to get caught up on work and doing loads of laundry in between. Here’s one of DD2 this morning before shots and another of both girls from yesterday. Side note: the sit n play is amazing. I had a bumbo with DD1 and barely used it. Tried putting DD2 in it (I know she’s a little too young) and her thighs are so chunky she doesn’t fit in it. With this thing, it sits high enough for babies to support their head so they don’t have to have great neck control quite yet. And she seriously loves it.

Thank you guys SO much. I really first needed to vent and word vomit and I also love all of the suggestions. I need to sit down and come up with a plan. Thank you all so so so much. 😍😍😍 benandjerrys we have a so tiny bed room that nothing can fit in. We do have a small bassinet that I can try. And the nursery is way small. As far as DTD with baby in the room... She just stays asleep. My official appt is Fri but I'm surprisingly well and all feels and appears to be fine. 🤷♀️ last time that was not the case. We just need to figure out birth control. So we just keep on keeping on.

Now he is in his crib which is in the loft above my bedroom. Technically he could hear us if he was awake but we make sure he is sleeping and we try and be quiet.

According to my tape measure that I just busted out he is around 22 inches but I could be off. She will like it more and more. The better the head control, the more he seems to like it. He is a pro now.

This baby is really fighting bedtime tonight. He fell asleep in my arms at 6:45. I brought him upstairs to swaddle for bed. He woke up. I held him and he fell asleep. I laid him down and he woke up. I decided to leave him in there and lay my hand on his chest to soothe him. He eventually quieted down and I was able to leave the room. It took about a half hour in total though. MH is home now and he is doing bedtime with G so I can relax for a few.

I haven’t taken a pic of all four since Easter. Fail. But this is a comparison of all four at 3 Months. Baby riding in the Binxy Baby today. First time using it with her out of the carrier and we were stopped by 4 people who wanted to know what it was. Baby has only napped a total of maybe two hours all day since 8:30am (it’s 7pm). Hoping she’ll go down for the night by 8pm and freaking sleep. I know other babies are way worse than her but I’m ready for a kid break. And to heat up a brownie and top it with a big old scoop of ice cream. Hell yes.
