Hello all.
I'm here at work, but researching companies to call for quotes for a new roof and eves-troughs. Yay home ownership, just take all my money.

It is a cold, wet, slushy mess outside. H tested positive for strep. He decided not to test S after he discovered an EI, since the antibiotics will treat both. He also told me that her remaining tube is starting to come out. We are all stocked up on ibuprofen and antibiotics. Shit! I'm so sorry. How many times has she had strep now? Um, not sure at least 5.

I was just doing some research online about it and it seems like they don’t like to do tonsillectomies as much anymore for strep throat. It’s been spread out enough that I’m not going to push for anything right now.

wedding TIL that James Van Der Beek is the voice of Vampirina's dad and Lauren Graham is the voice of her mom. I learned about Lauren Graham when the show first came on, and now all I hear is Lorelei (and I think they dress both characters alike – well, as a like as a woman and a vampire can be)

Ugh sorry about that trtlcrzy! Hope both girls get feeling better! vino Your day sounds like mine. I’ve been on the phone with insurance people for the past two days getting home insurance quotes. Uggghhh. Buying a house is a pain in the butt. I don’t remember it being so difficult when I bought my first house but that was over 10 years ago.... and I guess maybe my dad did all the leg work for me then 🤷🏼♀️ I’m also getting nervous about moving away from my family again. I do have aunts/cousins in all different parts of Florida so that’s good. I’m hoping my parents end up buying a vacation home in Cocoa Beach. It’s only an hour and a half away and then we would also have a free weekend get away spot! However, I haven’t really been able to talk to them about the move. They don’t want us to move far away.

So lots of things came from S’s Neuro appt. 1) we are getting a sleep study because girlfriend snores like a drunk sailor. And it could be causing interrupted sleep which contributes to seizures. So depending how that goes, the tonsils may come out. 2) we are adjusting one of her meds. 3) we are adding a cognitive enhancing med (adhd type med) to help her focus better. And 4) we are going to look into a keto diet for her. I’m not sure how it will go, but I’m willing to try anything. Then we had to get blood work done. Then Sunny41 met us for lunch at chick-FIL-a. So we visited and ate for about an hour! Now I’m waiting for S to wake up from her car nap so I can attempt to get a pedicure with her on my lap. This could be disastrous.

lfig I'm glad you got some answers and different things to try. The painter sent me a video of our living room, they're already done and leaving. H and I would still be trying to figure out how we were going to paint to the ceiling, so this is the best money ever spent!

Remember my shopping cart incident yesterday? Apparently that's covered under your liability in your homeowner's policy. Who knew?

I'm still waiting on my new bras to arrive so I went to VS to use my $20 off coupon and the rest of my gift card. I had no idea what a difference wearing the correct size bra would make. I feel like a new woman.

Hi all. We've been going non-stop today; I took a huge load of stuff to a kids' consignment shop, took another load to Goodwill, and sold/mailed several of C's boutique dresses via FB. Survived Target with both kids and am now home making lasagna. B has t-ball practice in a bit so the house will be relatively quiet for awhile. I wish C could go with them I need to pack tonight but at least the laundry is all done so it shouldn't be bad.

For some reason, it can be quite successful in seizure control.

lfig , why the keto diet? For some reason, it can be quite successful in seizure control. Really? That's interesting. I wonder why that is. ETA: I googled. New studies show that the ketogenic diet, a high-fat, calorie-restricted diet used to treat epileptic seizures in children, alters genes involved in energy metabolism in the brain, which in turn helps stabilize the function of neurons exposed to the challenges of epileptic seizures. That's really interesting.

So I booked the appointments. When I changed the reasoning to "allergy consult for new patient" the appointment length went from 15 minutes to an hour....I booked 2 appointments, one for me, one for Cadence. Maybe they'll be able to do us at the same time and it won't actually take 2 hours. yeesh. IME, the allergist visits take awhile because they will do the initial consult, then the testing, and then they need to allow 15-20 minutes to wait for reactions.

flamingo we didn't paint the actual ceilings, just the walls, but the walls are 18' to the ceiling. I would have loved to have the popcorn ceilings scraped and painted, but that isn't in the budget.
