mattsgirl2004 I’m glad you found time to make up and hopefully get some things sorted out and I’m sorry Your dads surgery is so far away. We need to go see dhs family and I’m just not making the effort which is terrible.

Anyone have an app they love for tracking baby’s routine? Bonus if it’s free. Preferably available on iPhone and android so dh could sync with it. Mostly I want to see sleep patterns and feeding times. I have Baby Connect but now that I re-read your post I don’t think it was free. It was like $5 cdn when I got it. But you can do all the other things you said Anyways it’s fun to go back and see how things were with L at this stage too.

Ok I have a TMI question.
I’m 6 weeks pp this week. I have my dr appt on Friday.
I bled all normal and then it stopped after about a week. It would come back periodically for a bit afterwards but it’s been gone for weeks now.
Until a couple days ago. And now I have bleeding again. It’s not my period, I’m pretty sure because of colour and content. It’s not tons but enough that I put a pad back on last night.
Does this sound normal? I’m wondering if it’s because of starting to workout again. I dont have general pain but there has been a few moments of sharp pain in my uterus area.

leatherpants I think my bleeding came back for a few days around then last time. I probably wouldn't be concerned unless it was a lot.

How frequently does everyone's LO get hiccups?
N gets hiccups almost every time she eats. Sometimes it's like 10-15 minutes after, but sometimes it's not until hours later.
I try to hold her upright, keep the bottle at 45 degrees and try to not let her drink so quickly and hold her upright for a while afterwards but nothing helps.

I thought I remembered something like that too but I was telling my friend and she was very sky is falling about it so then I doubted myself. So this is very helpful!

Not at night so much but def a couple of times during the day. Do the hiccups bother her? I think Bs bother me more than they do him

I think it's normal for it to come and ago for awhile during the PP time frame. If its a lot or accompanied by pain, I'd mention it to the doc. Mine has stopped and started up again a few times now in the past few weeks. It's more annoying than anything.

R had them a lot while he was an inside baby and gets them quite frequently now too. Anywhere from 5-10 times per day. His pedi said it's normal and the frequency will lessen as baby gets older.

I asked my OB about this Monday and she said it is normal. If you are BF it can due to something with horomone progesterone according to my OB.

Wearing pads makes me feel like a middle schooler.... as does not being able to find a decent bra. +1 cannot remember ever shopping for pads. By the time my mom quit getting them for me I had graduated to tampons and now a cup. Felt really stupid to be clueless when I went shopping for them now.

Mostly I want to see sleep patterns and feeding times. I really like Baby Manager. Sleep, diapers, feeding are free and I love the widgets that I can just hit when I start feeding either side. There's more options like bath, meds, temp, walk, tummy time, and you can pick one for free or pay $5 for all of them. Also I loved the conversation with your toddler and DH. 😂

I read somewhere that sometimes they get hiccups when they're overstimulated. It really makes sense for when DS gets them.

leatherpants, my OB has said previously that he still considers anything prior to 8-10 weeks PP to be PP bleeding and that it can taper & restart.

L gets hiccups several times a day as well. I'm glad others are as well because I was worried it wasn't normal how frequently she gets them. I don't remember D1 getting them so much.

I was able to get the baby a doctor's appt this morning with the nurse practitioner. She gained a pound from two weeks ago and everything else looks fine so she said to just keep an eye on it and if it gets worse to call and they will do meds. She spit up twice during the appt but the NP just said it's normal and it didn't look like acid reflux spit up so we'll see. I'm hoping it eases up soon. So much laundry.

DD had an ultrasound appointment that I was running late for. She had a huge poop upon arrival and then wanted to eat (after just having ate) so I had to speed walk while nursing her and pushing the stroller. I nurse her on the move often but it feels different when I’m running late, so much pressure.

I love Baby Connect, and it does everything you’re looking for except the $5 up front cost. Ditto to comparing with DS1 at this stage. The graphs and timelines are fun for the Type As like me, too.

I keep adding things here and there to my Sephora cart after seeing the thread on GD about the VIB sale. I don’t know why. It’s not as though I’m going to be doing a regular makeup routine with any regularity in the near future. I can pretend, right?
We just booked our sitter for a week and a half out so we can go see Infinity War. Our first date post-baby’s arrival 😬 He’ll be a month old to the day!

Thanks for the talk on hiccups. A gets them at least once a day too. Interesting about stimulation. I’ll have to pay attention next time it happens.

I have both kids for the first time on my own this morning until my grandma comes over to watch DD while I take O to a Lactation consultant appointment this afternoon. So far it’s been ok. If I’m feeling ambitious I think I have bath/shower for everyone on the morning agenda😬

I’m 39 + 1 today. That’s the day DD1 made her exit. Apparently #2 thinks I’m super comfortable.

Both girls let me sleep in until 8am. It's a Christmas miracle.
And E wanted to go to my parents immediately but N is still sleeping so I'm enjoying Starbucks and Chicago Med in peace!
My H actually has a day without any appointments today (he's been crazy busy) so we wanted to do something fun like the zoo but it's going to be crappy out so I don't know what we are going to do.

Mostly I want to see sleep patterns and feeding times. Idk if it works for Android but I’ve been using “awesome baby tracker” (lol). eta: I like it a lot. Pimping, nursing, sleep, diapers, weight, height, solids, bottles and a few more are all free. eta: I meant pumping not pimping. Ha.

i am just dragging today. fitbit tells me i am getting 6+hrs of sleep every night but i am still just exhausted. i had planned on getting out to library today but the one we normally go to is randomly closed and i don’t feel like going to a different one - comfort zones and all that. it is nice out (40s!) but i have zero motivation to go for a walk. i’m just feeling blah. i had a mini meltdown/pity party last night which surprised me because i had such a good day with the girls. i love my kids, but i am just feeling very “is this it?” with my life right now. i would love to get back to work but it just makes more sense logistically for me to. be at home. i just feel like i am not cut out for this at all. i need a serious attitude adjustment. sorry for the word vomit
