I use a Franklin Planner day across 2 pages layout because I like pretty pages but do not have the time or patience to decorate them myself. I have skipped a couple of days here & there, but I use my planner every day. I love the Franklin Planner system because I can get insert pages for all kinds of things: bank account register pages for keeping track of accounts, payments & budgeting; expense envelopes for keeping track of the fiddly little things like tickets, small receipts or other tiny things; blank lined pages for taking notes at meetings or appointments and making lists for things like Christmas cards lists, or keeping track of books I have read this year or want to buy. Since I take my planner everywhere, I need it to work for me, not me for it.
So while I never have photos of my weekly spreads or daily pages -- they're all the same, it's not that I'm not planning or using a system to keep track of my life.

loony I try to give myself no more than 3 to dos in a day. It works for me and keeps me less stressed. I try to do that for work, and it’s usually just the one major task for the day, but it helps me keep focused. It’s hard to narrow to just three things at home though and if I don’t write it down, I forget. Like I wanted to hard boil eggs for the week yesterday and didn’t. I carry things over a lot, but if it’s at least written down, I’ll remember to do it at some point. I also found these “This Week” printables that I transfer important tasks, meal prep and chores and leave it where SO has his morning coffee. It has really helped the division of labor, because if he sees it written down, he’ll do more without me nagging. (He does things like laundry and dishes without being asked most times, but this helps with everything else).

It saved us from so much bickering.

McBenny - we’re transitioning from me being home during the week to him being with the kids most week days. He is awesome with them and they are fed and happy and “enriched”, but the house has been a disaster when I get home. The lists and cleaning schedule helped so much this week to at least keep the house on track. And yes, help the bickering.

I'm using my happy planner daily, but I couldn't keep up with all the separate planners I thought I would. I have one 18 month happy planner and that is working for me to track work, home, fitness. I use lots of stickers, but can't keep up with washi or stamps. I have a mini hp that is more of a no frills version of just time based appointments copied from the classic happy planner I keep open on my desk.
