It feels so good to get stuff done around the house. Moved L's clothes, organized A's room and put all the laundry away. Now it's baby snuggles and a beer!

flamingo don’t go down the basket rabbit hole, a baby carrier is a very nice gift! I’ve got a basket that is nearly done (my friend was due last Sunday) and I’m teaming up with my mom for one in August. I’m in love with the look of the one for my friend. I’ll post a pic when it’s done.

Also hi! Had a very long day training people to teach young people about informal care. Mostly to raise awards that children and teenagers can be caregivers too. It was fulfilling, but exhausting. My coworker and I evaluated the day in the sun with a glass of wine.

I'm always looking for ideas. The last two I did were kind of bath-and-bed themed...monogrammed towel from PBK is a go-to, washcloths, bath toys, toiletries, jammies, etc. My sister’s might end up being a bit more random but so far I have a sleeper, a copy of On the Night You Were Born, a couple little toys, some bath stuff. I also ordered a matching monogrammed bib and burp cloth from Etsy. I also have added some things like gas drops and saline spray for FTMs bc you don’t know you need that stuff til you need it!

Thanks everyone. I’m really, really sad. I can’t stop crying and it’s not helping that Shaun had to leave today. I’ll be ok, it’s just hitting me hard. The boys are ok. I don’t think ryland and Lucas totally are grasping that he is gone forever. Landon is heartbroken. He was really his dog the last few years, he fed him and really helped take care of him. And Landon is also incredibly sensitive.

cagoldi, how often does P need to be weighed? We had a home nurse come today to check on him and she said between her and the pediatrician, he'll need to be weighed a few times a week. Nothing special, so far. She has to take a minimum 45 ml each feeding every 2-3 hours (she wakes us or we need to wake her to eat at least every three hours until further notice). And we have to keep track of her wet and dry diapers but that's the same as any NB. She has her two week checkup Thursday and I know they will want her to be over birthweight. I think she will be but maybe if she weren't they would ask for weight checks?

I think it's great that you wanted to be aware of who wasnt coming and looking at the group as a collective group as opposed to individuals. Hopefully a play date where everyone can make it is in the near future.

The charter school we want to put Giovanna in in FL has a waitlist of 65 for second grade. The admissions lady said it was still possible she could get in. They might create another class, people drop off the list etc... so not all hope is lost. The regular elementary in our district is actually rated really well at least- so I won’t be too upset if she has to go there until she gets into the charter. Haha flamingo.... I’ll also consider another baby for a nam2013 gift basket! You are such a thoughtful giver Nam!

Talking about gifts, dd is turning two next month (hold me please) any ideas what to get a two year old that has everything under the sun and then some? Some of L's new favorite things (she turned 2 last week): play jewelry, shopping cart, doll stroller, doll high chair, doll bassinet (the girl loves dolls), one person kid trampoline, kids wheelbarrow, scooter.

The boys car napped and I was able to get A's contacts picked up and a huge grocery run in. They were mostly great in the grocery so we left with an oreo cake as well.. They keep telling me to make dinner now so they can eat it lol.

I had a nice lunch with my friend today. After ordering all my groceries online, I find out they are out of pick up times today. I changed to another store and they did such a better job so I'm never going back. Tomorrow I take C for his 4 month appointment already.
