redandblue aydee how are you guys? I feel like I haven't seen either of you in a while other than likes. I hope you're both well.

I might just go back to the gym. H put in the new Star Wars for C to watch and he doesn't want to really focus on it. So he has been doing other things and asking questions when he does pay attention and other 6 year old things. So H is getting short with C and C is pouting because he can't find part of a toy (we all are looking for it). I am done with the piss and vinegar attitudes around me right now and it has put me in a sour mood.

I feel like we've been potty training forever. M was doing great when we put him on it, but wouldn't tell us. But this weekend he's just not doing it at all. I don't have the energy to do much more right now. H said we should read up on potty training and I literally started crying on the phone today. I told him to do it because I'm full up on things to do currently. How much time are you taking off after birth? That's when I plan on buckling down with J. No freaking energy right now for it.

Thanks for the tag armpants. I've generally been drowning in life over the past month so I haven't been around as much. Our kitchen is 95% done and I absolutely love the granite countertops. We're still in the process of moving everything back into it and getting back to normal life. We found a new nanny who starts mid-May and now we're just trying to ride things out with old one. In addition to that stuff, there's been so much other shit going on. I've basically been trying to put out one fire at a time and then deal with what's coming next. I haven't even started my taxes yet. Ugh. I wish someone could magically do them for me!

armpants, I'm so glad you're going to get a more detailed hearing test for your little guy. As stressful as all this is, his hearing could be such a critical piece of the speech issues. Hopefully this helps get you guys on the path to him getting the right kind of help. And I didn't have a chance to comment when you posted a 3rd tri picture, but you look awesome and it makes me so happy to think about how much joy you are bringing the intended parents of this baby. What a blessing you are bringing into their life!

As far as potty training, I may be one of the holdouts on here, but we're not going to try again until probably July. We tried for 2 days in December and it was way more stressful for her than it should have been if she was truly ready. At this point I want to wait long enough that she totally forgets about the earlier attempt and we start fresh.
Also, for anyone wondering, there's no need to feel rushed to potty train (aside from school requirements if that's an issue). The average age that girls potty train is just before age 3 and for boys it's just after age 3. Some kids will be ready earlier and some will be later. Do whatever feels right for you and your kid.

Heyo, dropping in to say hi . I haven't even attempted to start potty training with E. She doesn't tell me or signal me when she has to go, walks around perfectly content in a soaked diaper, and still pees during naps. So not ready. I really wanted her to be trained before the baby comes, but looks like i'll have two in diapers. Sigh.

aydee I’m not really attempting either. I’m trying to get E used to the idea of just sitting on it. Until this week he would get hysterical if I set him on the potty. I’m trying to put him on the potty when I change his diaper with zero expectations. Isaac was just over 3 when trained.

C sits on the potty and goes - if i put him there and give him candy. will not tell he has to go. i ask him and ask him and ask him and it's always no. Ethan will tell me when he poops and sometimes when he pees but has not ever gone on the potty This is mostly what Poppy does. She even tells me before she poops, but adamantly does not want to go on the potty. They have been taking her to the toilet at daycare though, and she has gone for them several times. I’m hoping she’s more ready now.

Sorry- it was the Paris hotel in Vegas. We went for H’s bff’s birthday. Brought the kids and venture outside of the room for lunch and a few other things.

I'm a little salty today.. I came home yesterday to a kitchen full of ants. I dealt with that and still managed to get dinner on the table at a reasonable time. Then I put the 3 stools together last night to do something nice for H because he hates assembling things, and I also got him a Prime wardrobe box of like 6 shirts since he's been complaining about needing new shirts.. All I was hoping for was a simple thank you, and I got nothing. I'm biting my tongue so hard because I know it'll start shit if I say something.. But damn.. it stung a little.

Considering the National weather service is already talking about this winter storm for this weekend I have a feeling it’s going to ge a bad one and we are going out of town. They keep saying it’s to soon to tell how much but that traveling will be impacted. I am so tired of winter. They rarely ramp up a storm. We should be able to get to my parents just fine on Friday but I worry about getting home Sunday when Saturday we are suppose to get nailed.

Busy April so far- the first was my birthday, we went whale watching (I may have mentioned that already). I looked at the tally and we saw 7 gray whales and what I thought was about 1,000 dolphins was estimated at 3,000 dolphins. I flew my sister out from Chicago on the 2nd and she went home on the 6th. I’ve been missing her and hadn’t seen her in over a year. It was her 50th birthday on Sunday, so that was her present. I was so happy that H was okay with us doing that. On the 7th (Saturday) we drove to Vegas and spent the day there, it was our first time staying at Paris and it was awesome. We spent some time walking through the area with the shops since it’s non smoking and still looks like you’re on the streets of Paris. Worm LOVED it. I don’t think I will ever bring my kids back to Vegas though. Sunday morning we drove from Vegas to Bullhead City (across the river from Laughlin). My brother lives there so we stopped by for a few hours to see him and his kids. My niece in the Navy was there and surprised us. She was deployed for 8 months and got back last Tuesday, she had been told mid April but hadn’t received a date. She surprised my brother on Thursday. It was so good to see her. She has leave for a few weeks so we’ll see her again then. She’s stationed a few hours away. DD1 was bummed that she didn’t get to see her, but she knew she was back. They’re like sisters and best friends and talk all the time, even when she was gone they talked a couple days a week.

We’re back home- our road trip will Be during the summer. H will be hiking Mt. Whitney in July and we’ll go then. After the 13 hours in the car this weekend, that may honestly not happen anymore. A is awful in the car lately and J flipped out for over an hour. We’ll need to do a couple more trial runs before we make any definite plans. H loosened the straps on A’s car seat in my car, he didn’t say anything to me about it. Yesterday we dropped him off at work and we were on the freeway, she got my attention and I glanced back to see her turned around facing me (her car seat WAS still rear facing). So we got off the freeway and I turned it around.
