I joined Stitch Fix today. Has anyone used it? How good were the choices they sent you? “Good” meaning “yup, I’d wear that!”

I'm not sure how far along you are but have you reached the point of the glucose test? My own personal anecdote: I craved sugar and ice cream and had no symptoms and failed that test so miserably. I'm sure it's not related but I felt absolutely horrible that I had been eating so bad and my numbers were probably through the roof. Now I literally just have to ignore cravings, which sucks but is doable. Anyway, just an anecdote. I'm about 7 weeks out from the GTT, I believe. I think it's just how your body reacts to and processes the sugar. I'm sure there are women who eat nothing but healthy food and get GD, as well as those who eat only junk and don't develop it. I'm trying to be moderate with the sweets, but that was a fail yesterday. Definitely GD can strike at random. I was just sharing my anecdote. It was shocking to get the diagnosis when I did the test, felt fine then went out for burger and milk shake afterwards and find out my test number was astronomically high. It was very anxiety inducing to worry what might have been happening before I found out. Babies are pretty damn resilient though luckily. But it is possible to resist those cravings I've found because I've been forced to do it. I just have plans to have something waiting for me once baby comes out!

I'm about to get dressed & go get a chicken biscuit. I really need to take a couple things back to Wal-Mart & pick up some groceries while I'm out, but damn. That's way more effort than just getting breakfast.

I ordered a pair of Rockstar jeggings from Old Navy because of this place and I really like how they fit. But they did not take off the security tag before they were shipped so I will be heading out to the mall today to get it taken off. I'm hoping to leave both girls at home and do a little solo shopping today.

Hello. Bacon is in the oven, I have coffee, and I will make some eggs when the bacon is done. Both kids slept till after 7 so we had a good start to the day.
I think H will take D1 to the indoor playground and I will stay home with the baby.

I joined Stitch Fix today. Has anyone used it? How good were the choices they sent you? “Good” meaning “yup, I’d wear that!” I ended up canceling for a variety of reasons. I will say that I think you can get the best of it by actually leaving a lot of feedback, etc. I think they even suggest creating a pinterest board for your style so the stylist can see what you like. This. A friend of mine is a Stitch Fix stylist and she loves to laugh at how often this outfit is pinned by her "clients".

Morning. We've done breakfast and Target and now we're snuggled on the couch. DS talked me into buying PJ Masks underwear for him and I'm crossing all my crossables that that's the motivation he needs to actually potty train.

I just made an appointment to register DS for kindie. Our school is running a kindergarten parent orientation this Friday. We finished our IEP addendum for the kindie transition last week. The school already has the supply list posted. Holy shit. I’m not sure that I’m ready for this.

DH and DS are at the science museum. I'm sitting on the couch watching NCIS LA. I should be going to Target and taking the dog to Tractor Supply for dog food. I'll move at some point.

I'm pretty sure they're trolling their customers at this point. People have been complaining for years that the website is awful but they have KOKO with it. right! I found a comforter for DD that I love but it is no longer being sold. Not sure why it is showing up. This happened to me last year and it was so frustrating.

I'm drinking real coffee this morning. I wish this cold would go away. My nose is so stuffy I feel like I'm breathing through a Capri sun straw.
I have a test to do for school and more packing and cleaning.
I need to make a thread to get help with paint colors soon. I need to decide and I'm nowhere near that point lol.

H is exactly zero help with picking colors. Everything is either awful or meh or it's up to you. I need you to participate, h! You're gonna live there too!

joy, I tried SF for a while, then cancelled. I know people who have really liked it, but I didn’t. I did all of the things they said- the Pinterest board, giving tons of feedback, and it just didn’t work. Out of the six months or so I did it, I only liked one of the items they sent me- and it was a cute Daniel Rainn top which cost $78. I buy that brand of tops all the time at Rack for $25-30, and I couldn’t see paying that much more for it- I mean it was a style that Rack didn’t carry, but still. I just this month started RTR Unlimited, and I am hoping it is as much fun as I imagine. bobyn, I need you to dish all the SF stylist tea, please.

Ah doing nothing on the weekend, I remember that. Sleeping in, late breakfast or out for brunch, maybe watch a movie or potter around the shopping centre. Afternoon drinks outside. Sigh.
H asks me all the time what we would have been doing “on a day like this” pre-kids- the answer is usually drinking and eating snacks.

Good morning.
My local grocery just opened a fresh pasta bar, so I bought some this morning for an asparagus pasta tonight.
And 3 new flavors of lemonade for vodka.

My uncle called me this week & said something about a trust from my grandfather, yada yada, & he's sending me (& my sibilings/cousins) a check for roughly about $3k each sometime this week. Eek! I know it's not a ton of money but it's a nice little surprise amount, & I want to go out today & buy new shirts I don't need & other things. I should probably immediately put it in savings like a responsible adult....but maybe just 1 new shirt? My grandpa would surely approve of a small treat yo self! For windfalls like this I apply the rule of thirds - 1/3rd to debt, 1/3rd to savings, and 1/3 to fun.

Happy Sunday! We just got home from a long walk around the canal here- it’s gorgeous and almost 70 here. A local brewery had a random delicious NA beer which made me very happy.

I had lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes at breakfast and they were the tits.
Dh is now liveblogging what he believes is an unaccompanied minor being kicked out of the airport (parent just arrived) during his layover. I'm riveted. He doesn't want to snoop as hard as I need him to, though.

Thank you. Tomorrow is my birthday and will be 45. If I could afford botox and plastic surgery then I would do that in a second! When is yours? I hope you have a great day. Mine is Wednesday. I believe I share a birthday with angelashly Wednesday?

How good were the choices they sent you? “Good” meaning “yup, I’d wear that!” I have gotten some decent pieces, but you have to be specific on your likes/dislikes. I have found that I like Trunk Club better because I can review the trunk before it is shipped and I can have a conversation with my stylist.

I'm way ahead of the game on laundry.
The kids Cleaned their rooms yesterday One kid has laundry to do.
Bathrooms are clean.
Downstairs is clean.
Sounds like I'm laying back drinking, watching YouTube and planning today.
